Two Trump cabinet officials were set to support 25th Amendment Coup, Rosenstein tallied votes

Two Trump Cabinet officials were "ready to support" a DOJ scheme to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump, according to Bloomberg and Fox News, citing closed-door testimony from the FBI's former top lawyer, James Baker - who said that the claim came from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
The testimony was delivered last fall to the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees. Fox News has confirmed portions of the transcript. It provides additional insight into discussions that have returned to the spotlight in Washington as fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe revisits the matter during interviews promoting his forthcoming book. -Fox News
While Baker did not identify the two Cabinet officials, he says that McCabe and former FBI lawyer Lisa Page approached him to relay their conversations with Rosenstein, including their discussions of the 25th Amendment scheme. Baker told the Congressional committees:
"I was being told by some combination of Andy McCabe and Lisa Page, that, in a conversation with the Deputy Attorney General, he had stated that he -- this was what was related to me -- that he had at least two members of the president's Cabinet who were ready to support, I guess you would call it, an action under the 25th Amendment."
The 25th Amendment allows for the removal of a sitting president from office through various mechanisms - including the majority of a president's Cabinet agreeing that the commander-in-chief is incapable of performing his duties.

Rosenstein - who is slated to leave the Justice Department in the near future, has denied the claims.

More from Zero Hedge 2/18/2019:
Clearly displeased with McCabe's revelations, Trump lashed out at again on Twitter, accusing him of telling a "deranged" story and plotting "a very illegal act".

Trump added that McCabe has "a lot of explaining to do to the millions of people who had just elected a president who they really like". He added that this was "the illegal and treasonous" insurance policy "in action..."

...Before doubling down on accusations that McCabe and Rosenstein participated in an "illegal coup attempt."

Poland nixes 'Visegrad' summit in Jerusalem after Israeli Foreign Minister goes full racist: "Every Pole suckled anti-Semitism with his mother's milk"

Polish PM Morawiecki • Israeli PM Netanyahu
The developments mark a new low in a dispute between the countries over how to remember and characterize Polish actions toward Jews during World War II.

Poland's prime minister canceled plans for his country to send a delegation to meeting in Jerusalem on Monday after the acting Israeli foreign minister said that Poles "collaborated with the Nazis" and "sucked anti-Semitism with their mothers' milk."

The Polish pullout triggered the collapse of a planned summit of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu with leaders of four Central European nations known as the Visegrad group.

With the Hungarian and Slovak prime ministers already in Israel, bilateral meetings will take place instead, according to announcements by Czech Prime Minister Andrei Babis and Israel's Foreign Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nahshon.

Netanyahu had touted the meeting as an important step in his outreach to the countries of Central Europe, which have pro-Israeli governments that he is counting on to counter the criticism Israel typically faces in international forums.

Comment: Wow, that escalated fast.

A word of advice to Jews: you might want to ditch Netanyahu before something awful happens.

Former PM Azarov • PM Poroshenko
Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said that the FBI is investigating the embezzlement of credit funds in Ukraine.

Azarov said in an interview with the TV channel "112 Ukraine":
"For the past year, for example, they pulled out three billion dollars from the country. Where did I get this information from? I figured it out? No, I didn't think it out, I took information from the NBU (the National Bank of Ukraine - ed.), I looked at the current account and calmly calculated: it turns out Ukraine borrowed two billion of some credit resources from the IMF (International Monetary Fund - ed.) and a billion at the World Bank - three, and brought 3.5 billion. Where did it go? Offshore."
According to Azarov, according to his data, foreign creditors are concerned about this and are checking.
"Foreign partners have repeatedly made a remark to the Kiev regime and warned: guys, be careful with the money that we give you. And I know that the investigation is underway, now the Federal Bureau of Investigation is doing this ..."
Azarov has called on Poroshenko to resign. Additionally, he has commented that Yanukovich dealt with Maidan protesters 'too lightly' resulting in the inability to use the Berkut security forces to safeguard the Ukrainian state from the U.S backed coup in 2014.

A member of the Abu Asab family weeps as he is forcibly evicted from his home and arrested by Israeli policed
Israeli police forcibly evicted a Palestinian family from their home in the Old City of occupied East Jerusalem on Sunday, immediately replacing them with a group of Israeli settlers.

The Abu Asab family, who live in the Muslim Quarter of the city, had been handed an eviction notice by the Israeli Supreme Court, ordering them to vacate the property by February 28th.

The court ruled that Jewish settlers were the "rightful owners" of the property under the pretext that Jewish residents lived in the home pre-1948.

Video footage of the eviction shows Israeli forces shoving and assaulting members of the Abu Asab family as they removed them from the home.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday handed over his role as foreign minister to intelligence minister Israel Katz, giving up the portfolio he has held since 2015.

Netanyahu's decision to appoint Katz as acting foreign minister came after an advocacy group, the Movement for Quality Government, went to court to press the prime minister to stop serving as foreign minister as well.

Government officials said Katz, who will remain intelligence minister and also serves as transport minister, will hold the foreign affairs portfolio through the upcoming parliamentary election on April 9. Katz is a member of Netanyahu's right-wing Likud party.

Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, a 2020 presidential hopeful, defended WikiLeaks Saturday night, saying the information released by the organization brought "necessary change."

The Hawaii congresswoman was fielding questions at a meet-and-greet in Concord, New Hampshire, over the weekend when she was asked about WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

"Obviously, the information that has been put out has exposed a lot of things that have been happening that the American people were not aware of and have spurred some necessary change there," she told the crowd.

Gold thieves: It's not just Venezuela - Australia's gold is under lock-and-key in London

Geopolitical and trade tensions along with US sanctions have shaken trust in the US dollar over recent years. As a result, a number of global central banks have been boosting their national reserves of gold bullion.

In 2018, world central banks added 651.5 tons to official gold reserves, as a greater pool of regulators turned to the precious metal as a diversifier, according to data released by the World Gold Council. Some countries, like Russia and Turkey increased their gold reserves while dumping US dollar holdings at the same time. India, China, Kazakhstan, Iraq, Poland and Hungary were among the other big purchasers of the yellow metal.

Net sales of gold from central banks reportedly remained insignificant, totaling less than 15 tons with Australia, Germany, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Ukraine accounting for almost the entire figure.

While some countries opt to hold their bullion reserves domestically, others still trust their precious reserves to the central banks of other nations. Vaults in Paris, New York and London have become popular gold storages for many developing countries.

Comment: That's a polite way of saying they were strong-armed (or simply pilfered) into handing over their gold to Western banking cartels in exchange for 'aid', 'advice' and 'protection'.

French govt 'exploits' police, union head says after protest violence: 'Before, we were the champions of personal freedoms'

French police officers in riot gear secure the Place de la Bastille during a demonstration by the "yellow vests" in Paris, France, on January 26, 2019.
The French authorities are outright exploiting the police by forcing them to work overtime amid unending Yellow Vest protests, while making them scapegoats to cover up their superiors' mistakes, a police union chief told RT.

Police are literally "exhausted" as France continues to witness what has been described as the worst civil unrest in decades - the unending wave of Yellow Vest protests held for the 14th weekend in a row. The government has forced the police to work overtime in an attempt to curb the unrest while apparently ignoring the consequences, Alexandre Langlois, the secretary-general of the VIGI police union, said in an interview with RT France.

The Saudi totalitarian Wahhabi ideology: What it looks like, up close and personal

Saudi Arabia beheading
How many times will we need to be reminded of the horrors of Wahhabism - that cult, which for lack of better words murdered and pillaged its way to the heights of power to better rationalise itself a school of thought under the umbrella of Sunni Islam - for our world leaders to seriously reconsider their alliances to Saudi Arabia?

In early February, away from the tumults of world media a child was beheaded in the streets of Madinah in Saudi Arabia, murdered by a religious zealot to assuage the self-proclaimed righteousness of an elite who has defined itself in bloodshed.

Zachariah Badir Al Jabir was seven years old ... for Wahhabist Saudi Arabia his faith, Shia Islam, sat him outside humanity's fold, and his death was a just act, a cleanse, an affirmation that under the skies of Al Saud all designated 'apostates' will suffer annihilation.

This is the nation our world leaders, our state officials and representatives have called and still call friend and ally.

How, can anyone, in the face of everything that has transpired over the decades - the unapologetic calls for genocide on the basis of faith, the en masse production of terror radical militants, and the countless heinous crimes against humanity - still contemplate an alliance with the kingdom?

Comment: Wahhabism is just one flavor of Salafism - the belief that all Muslims should revert to the ways of the first four generations of Islam.
