The email accounts of four senior aides at the National Republican Congressional Committee were surveilled for several months, party officials said.
Republican leaders were not informed until POLITICO contacted committee officials about the incident.

The House GOP campaign arm suffered a major hack during the 2018 election, exposing thousands of sensitive emails to an outside intruder, according to three senior party officials.

The email accounts of four senior aides at the National Republican Congressional Committee were surveilled for several months, the party officials said. The intrusion was detected in April by an NRCC vendor, who alerted the committee and its cybersecurity contractor. An internal investigation was initiated and the FBI was alerted to the attack, said the officials, who requested anonymity to discuss the incident.

Tulsi Gabbard 2020? Hawaii rep appears to be testing the waters for possible presidential bid

U.S. Representative Tulsi Gabbard
The three-term Democratic Congresswoman has been stoking speculation that she'll run for president in 2020. That's after she met with Democrats in New Hampshire, traditionally the first state to hold a presidential primary.

"I first ran for office in Hawaii when I was 21 years old. I ran for the state house," she told a meet-and-greet gathering of Rockingham County Democrats in Exeter.

She spoke with individual voters after her formal talk and question and answer session. When she was asked directly whether she was running, she did not deny it.

Comment: Congresswoman Gabbard is far and away the most clear-sighted, thoughtful candidate the Democrats have to offer. However, even they have problems with her, for not toeing the Deep State line.

IDF uncovers Hezbollah 'attack tunnel' leading into Israel

A Hezbollah attack tunnel reaching from Lebanon into Israel destroyed by the IDF, December 4th, 2018
The IDF on Tuesday uncovered the first cross-border Hezbollah tunnel from a home in the Lebanese village of Kfar Kila some 40 meters into Israeli territory outside the town of Metulla, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit announced in a statement Tuesday.

It was the first tunnel that the IDF said it had discovered as part of Operation Northern Shield, which was launched to expose and destroy offensive cross-border tunnels built by the Lebanese Shi'ite terror group, a proxy of Iran, along the Lebanon border and into northern Israel.

Comment: Hezbollah is not a 'terror group', despite what Israel and the United States say. It is a political group comprising a large part of the Lebanese population, which has a militant wing tasked with defending Lebanon against Israeli aggression - something it's very good at, which is why Israel hates it so much. Hezbollah actually fights terrorism - unlike Israel.

According to the military, it took Hezbollah some two years to build the 600-foot-long tunnel, which had been dug through solid rock into Israel and built some 80 feet underground and was six feet wide and six feet tall, and had electrical and communication lines as well as ventilation.

"The digging of the cross-border attack tunnels that the IDF has discovered, before the attack tunnels became operational and posed an imminent threat to the safety of Israeli civilians, constitutes a flagrant and severe violation of Israeli sovereignty," said IDF Spokesperson Brig.-Gen. Ronen Manelis.

Comment: You don't get to complain about your enemies violating your sovereignty when you constantly violate their own sovereignty. At least, not unless you're Israel - the most exceptional nation.

Ukrainian police raid Russian Orthodox churches, homes of priests

Ukrainian police have searched several Russian Orthodox churches and the homes of Russian Orthodox priests in several cities, amid growing tensions over the fate of Ukraine's competing Orthodox faiths.

The searches occurred in Kyiv and the nearby Zhytomyr region on December 3 and were part of a criminal investigation into inciting hatred and violence, according to a statement by Ukraine's main security service, the SBU.

Comment: Kiev has already become what they allege to hate. They're behaving like the Soviet KGB.

A police spokeswoman told AFP that security services were searching homes of priests who are loyal to the Russian branch of the Orthodox Church.

The Russian Orthodox Church said a day earlier that more than 20 Orthodox priests had been summoned for questioning by the SBU.

Typical Trump: Moscow reveals Trump talked with Putin for 10-15 minutes at G20

Despite canceling an expected meeting with Vladimir Putin in Argentina, his American counterpart Donald Trump had a brief conversation with him that lasted 10 to 15 minutes, a senior Russian official has claimed.

Trump and Putin were supposed to hold bilateral talks on the sidelines of the G20 summit in the Argentinian capital last weekend, but the American president canceled it last minute, citing an earlier incident in the Black Sea involving Ukrainian and Russian military ships. Still, the two leaders had a brief encounter during the event, and it was not initiated by Putin, according to Yury Ushakov, the aide to the Russian president on foreign affairs.

"Trump approached our president during a gathering and they had a conversation. Our president has already spoken about it," the official said.

He added that Putin explained to Trump Russia's stance on what had happened between Russia and Ukraine in the Kerch Strait, with Trump "hearing out our arguments."

Comment: Anyone who knows Trump should have predicted that he would actually speak with Putin with or without cancelling the official meeting - and not because of any mythical 'collusion'. Remember, this is the guy who was calling Kim Jong-un "Rocketman" months before saying he has a great relationship with the guy. He may go along with the mob when convenient, but that never stops him from continuing to do things his own way. Whether he'll ever actually be able to escape the limitations the mob-mentality places on him is another question, however.

Eurasian free trade zone may adopt single currency and 'best aspects of the EU' - President of Kyrgyzstan

The members of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) may abandon border procedures and adopt a common currency in the future by analogy with the European Union (EU), according to the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov.

"I strongly believe in the future of the EAEU, we have a tremendous potential. The EU has a single currency, and of course we will also come to this, but time is needed. We must introduce the best of what the European Union has... we must work towards that," he told Rossiya-24.

Jeenbekov noted that "Like in the European Union we have no borders, no border guards. All our nationals are freely traveling across the Union and are entitled to same services, no matter which - medical, educational..."

According to him, the EAEU member countries should work towards boosting competition with third countries. "The EAEU countries can compete with other foreign nations. We must work in coordination in this issue," Jeenbekov said, adding "I believe that in 2040, the economy of our countries will be the same as in the European Union, the US, Japan and in other leading nations."

Comment: While the EU may be struggling to contain a backlash from nations wishing to maintain a certain modicum of democratic sovereignty, there clearly are benefits to a cooperative union on the international level. And were this monetary union to be implemented, the reign of the dollar and US tyranny will be done for: Also check out SOTT radio's:

Double Standards: Violent Revolution in Ukraine? Of Course! Violent Revolution in France? Rule of Law!

When violent protests shook Kiev in 2013, Western analysts and leaders quickly threw their support behind the anti-government 'revolution' - but after weeks of Yellow Vest protests in France, the reaction has been very different.

While Western governments and commentators denounced the Ukrainian government of Viktor Yanukovych and urged that he give in to protesters' demands five years ago, this time around, they are denouncing the French protesters and urging President Emmanuel Macron, whose popularity stands at about 25 percent, to stand firm against dissatisfied citizens.

Western media coverage has also differed drastically with reports describing French protesters as rioters, while Ukrainian protesters were described as revolutionaries. The contrasting reaction has prompted many to ask the question: If a so-called revolution is allowed to happen (and even applauded) in Ukraine, why not in France?

Comment: The globalism program is not being meekly accepted in this corner of the EU. The discontent has been brewing for a long time. The suspicion of stolen elections, the imposition of unreasonable taxes, the uncontrolled influx of migrants, the implementation of 'thought crimes', and a general sense that the citizenry has no say in their lives any more is finally boiling over. That it is already spreading to other EU member countries is even more alarming...

Israel's meddling in US elections and the increasing pushback

Trump rabbi
The Anglophone Israel Lobby benefits from its ability to mold the media narrative while at the same time using financial incentives to corrupt the political class. For those who do not succumb to the corruption, there is always the option of direct pressure, which in the United States and Britain consists of targeted interference in the political system to remove critics either through promotion of scandal or by supporting well-funded alternative candidates in the following election. In the United States, this has led to the removal of a number of congressmen who had dared to criticize the Jewish state, terrifying the remainder into silence. All of this goes on with little or no debate in the media or in congress itself.

There are signs, however, that the general tolerance of Israeli misbehavior might be ending. The election of at least three Democratic Congresswomen Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who might be willing to discuss Israel in something less than worshipful ways is a miniscule shift in the alignment of the Democratic party, where Jewish money dominates, but it reflects the views of the party's grass roots where a recent poll demonstrates that surveyed Democrats favor Israel over Palestine by a margin of only 2%, twenty-seven per cent versus twenty-five per cent with the remainder of responders favoring neither side.

Comment: All around the world grassroots organizations, local governments and even parliamentarians - including Italy, Spain, Ireland, Iceland and Paraguay - are exposing Israel's litany of crimes against humanity, and, perhaps sensing that its power is slipping and also delirious from decades of acting with impunity, Israel is becoming ever more brazen: Also check out SOTT radio's: NewsReal: Israeli-French Deception Downs Russian Spy Plane Off Syria, US Escalates 'Regime Change' Against Iran

Dear President Assad: Please arm French protestors to end Macron regime's brutal crackdown

yellow vests, gilles jaunes
After weeks of massive protests taking place in France, one thing is clear; the French people have had it with the current regime. After decades of oppression by an increasingly out of touch elite, economic stagnation, a repressive police state, and now rising fuel prices, the French people are finally standing up and demanding that the status quo give way to the ever burgeoning concept of democracy.

Almost as soon as the protests began, the Macron regime launched a brutal crackdown on protesters, even going so far as to use chemical weapons against unarmed people in their attempt to stifle the sparks of democracy. Hundreds of innocent people have been injured at the hands of the regime's security forces. Dozens of arrests have also been made with victims presumably being taken to Macron's torture chambers.

The recent Macron regime attempt to raise fuel prices yet again seems to be the straw that broke the camel's back and, combined with images of Macron jetting across the world, eating decadent meals, and parading himself in his life of luxury, the distance between the regime and the people has been demonstrated for all to see.

But raising fuel taxes is only one of many crimes of the regime against the French people. Willful shipping of French industry to third world countries has left many French people unemployed while the regime continues to confiscate the wealth of those fortunate enough to have work through exorbitant taxation. In addition, the regime crushes any dissent without hesitation after having disarmed the population in order to make resistance even less of a possibility. Free speech and even free thought does not exist in France where the regime punishes questioning state narratives with jail time and any political opposition figures are forced to undergo psychiatric evaluation.

No one can say for sure what Trump and Xi just agreed to

The White House is hailing the Dec. 1 dinner meeting between Donald Trump and Chinese president Xi Jinping in Buenos Aires as a landmark event that signals huge changes ahead for the warring trade rivals.

However, no one can seem to say what, exactly, Trump and Xi agreed to.

Statements from each country are contradictory about fundamental issues and offer no specifics about what might happen next. Given the fact that the history of US trade negotiations with China is defined by China agreeing to radical changes and then failing to actually make those changes, the Trump team's positive spin has been summed up by trade experts as "magical thinking."
