Puppet Masters
The international trade secretary said the extraordinary events in parliament on Tuesday, in which the government suffered historic defeats on Brexit, were an insult to voters.
"I think there is a real danger that the House of Commons, which is a natural remain majority, may attempt to steal Brexit from the British people, which I think would be a democratic affront," he told MPs on the international trade committee.
The complaint, which Corsi had threatened for days, is the latest escalation between Mueller's team and its investigation targets.
The 78-page document, asserting the existence of a "slow-motion coup against the president," was filed to a range of top law enforcement officials including Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, D.C.'s U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu and the Bar Disciplinary Counsel.
In August, 2016 the government of Ukraine, who were working directly with James Comey's FBI, released unsubstantiated accusations against Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort that led to his resignation five days later. Further, these allegations were made by a Ukrainian political operative working with two of Hillary Clinton's billionaire financial backers.
This isn't conspiracy theory or wild accusation. It's the truth and it's been hiding in plain sight since August, 2016. It was reported in the New York Times, albeit with significant omissions.
The story ran by the news agency on Wednesday cited Iran's Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh as saying: "One of our most important programs is increasing the range of missiles and ammunition," and "We don't see any limitations for ourselves in this field."
Sounds scary? Sure, because, Reuters added, the Iranian military say the range of their missiles is 2,000km and it is enough to target "US bases in Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar, plus US aircraft carriers in the Gulf." It's so scary that the US deemed it a good reason to pull out of the 2015 nuclear agreement with Iran.
The only problem with this leap of logic is that General Nasirzadeh leads Iran's Air Force (which Reuters did mention) and that he was speaking about Iranian air-to-air missiles (which Reuters omitted). Air-to-air missiles are fired by aircraft and hit aircraft, not "bases in Afghanistan and aircraft carriers in the Gulf."
Well informed sources said "Israel is feeling the ground has been shaking for some time because Hezbollah is preparing for a possible future war. The Israeli procedure is, therefore, both defensive and preventive, for fear of surprises promised by the secretary general of Hezbollah Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah. Sayyed Nasrallah has said he "will move the battle in Israel rather than fight only in Lebanon".
Comment: Miko Peled agrees with Magnier's assessment:
"When [Avigdor] Lieberman, the previous defense minister, resigned, he handed Netanyahu a wonderful gift, which is the Ministry of Defense, and now Netanyahu is defense minister, as well as many other things," Peled told Radio Sputnik's Loud & Clear. "Being defense minister allows him to parade and portray himself as this military expert," he added. The Lebanese Army released the following statement:
"Yesterday, if you look at the Israeli papers, there was some mention of the corruption charges. Today, it's all southern Lebanon, it's all Hezbollah, it's all pictures of Netanyahu with his senior security staff, with the generals and so-forth. So this is a great PR and political gift that he got when Lieberman resigned, and now he's making use of it," Peled told Loud & Clear hosts John Kiriakou and Brian Becker. "And of course the police chief who recommended that Netanyahu be indicted was just fired."
Everything is calm and peaceful on the Lebanese side [of the border], the situation is under full control. The army units deployed in the area are fulfilling their tasks in coordination with the UN Interim Force in order to prevent any provocation and maintain stability in the southern region. The command pointed out that the army was ready for any emergency situations. The army remains in contact with both Israel and Hezbollah.
Netanyahu, never one to shy away from going full Pravda in his propaganda, is calling for an 'urgent' meeting of the UNSC over the tunnel issue.
Moscow, meanwhile, just hopes that the Israeli operation doesn't breach existing UNSC resolutions. Israel may not like it, but they are bound by international law to behave like semi-decent humans.
"The S-400, once activated, will increase the threat to our forces and our coalition partners flying over Syria," he said. "We are still working out on how it is going to be executed."
Russia has installed S-400 mobile rocket batteries at Khmeimim air base in Syria but has not yet activated defense systems.
The S-400 is the state-of-the-art mobile defense system that can carry three different types of missiles capable of destroying a wide variety of air targets, from reconnaissance aircraft to ballistic missiles.
After a meeting between the two leaders at last weekend's G20 summit in Argentina, Chinese President Xi Jinping promised to stop the flow of Fentanyl into the US. "If China cracks down on this 'horror drug,'" Trump tweeted on Wednesday, "using the Death Penalty for distributors and pushers, the results will be incredible!"
Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that can be 50 to 100 times stronger than morphine. Imported Fentanyl, some from China, has fueled the US' opioid crisis and was responsible for nearly 30,000 of America's 72,000 overdose deaths in 2017.

Russian coastguards pursue Ukrainian Navy ships after violation of Russian territorial waters in Kerch Straight
The violation of Russia's maritime border in the Kerch Strait, between Crimea and mainland Russia, by three Ukrainian vessels last week "was a deliberate act, planned by the Ukrainian authorities," the Senators wrote in their address. The "provocation" by Kiev was specifcally timed to coincide with the G20 summit and the start of the presidential campaign in Ukraine, they added.
The Kerch Straight incident was among the excuses used by US President Donald Trump to cancel the much anticipated meeting with Vladimir Putin at the G20 gathering in Argentina on weekend.
The real reason why Ukraine sent its ships to Russian territorial waters was to invoke martial law in eastern and southern parts of the country, which was swiftly announced by President Petro Poroshenko.
The decision reportedly comes amid the latest US sanctions against Iran, among other reasons.
"We are planning to extend our energy cooperation with Russia," the ambassador said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"India's biggest foreign investments are directed into Russia's energy sector. In the same way, Russia has invested lots of money into the Indian energy."
Marine Lt. Gen. Kenneth McKenzie, who made the remarks during testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday, also cautioned against a sudden withdrawal of U.S. troops because Afghan forces are "not there yet" in terms of being able to successfully defend the country.
McKenzie's use of the word "stalemate" to describe the 17-year war comes after Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford used it last month when he described the Taliban as "not losing."
"They are not losing right now, I think that is fair to say," Dunford said during a security forum in Halifax, Nova Scotia in November. "We used the term stalemate a year ago and, relatively speaking, it has not changed much."
Comment: So he's telling us that this last 17 years of drone warfare, indiscriminate bombing, and death squads haven't been a success? Gee, what insight! Perhaps it's past time to just admit defeat and go home. Afghanistan didn't ask for American 'help' in the first place. And look at the kind of help they provided.
