Puppet Masters
I only remind you to let you know that the U.S. and other Western governments have reversed their stance on regimes killing their own citizens. They now fully endorse and support this rule-with-an-iron-fist so long as the victims can be successfully labeled "separatists" or "terrorists".
In fact, they want in on the action. The Pentagon began wargaming this week with the regime in Ukraine on how best to kill pesky citizens in Eastern Ukraine who oppose the U.S. Vice President's son stealing and fracking shale gas on their land.
People who defend their land and families are called "terrorists" when imperial powers want their resources. In turn, Western rulers call violent coups "duly elected" if they pledge allegiance to the IMF.

An Iron Dome launcher fires an interceptor rocket in the southern Israeli city of Ashdod, July 8, 2014.
The radar-guided Iron Dome missile, meant to intercept and smash incoming rockets in the seconds before they strike their targets, works just a small fraction of the time, according to a detailed analysis carried out by scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The study was funded by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and Ploughshares Fund.
Ted Postol, a physicist at the university and an expert in missiles and missile defenses, has found evidence that only about 5 percent of Iron Dome engagements result in the targeted rocket being destroyed or even sufficiently damaged to disable its explosive warhead. In the other 95 percent of cases, the interceptor either misses entirely or just lightly damages the enemy munition, allowing the rocket's intact warhead to continue arcing toward the ground.
Postol based his conclusion on a careful analysis of amateur videos and photos of Iron Dome interceptions over the past three years. He admitted that most of his data is from a previous round of fighting in 2012. "The data we have collected so far [for 2014], however, indicate the performance of Iron Dome has not markedly improved," Postol wrote on the website of the nonprofit Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) exerts tremendous amount of influence on US foreign policy.
This Orwellian situation is eloquent testimony to the continued political clout of AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) and the other hardline elements of the Israel lobby. There is no other plausible explanation for the supine behavior of the U.S. Congress - including some of its most "progressive" members - or the shallow hypocrisy of the Obama administration, especially those officials known for their purported commitment to human rights.
The immediate cause of this latest one-sided bloodletting was the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli hikers in the occupied West Bank, followed shortly thereafter by the kidnapping and fatal burning of a Palestinian teenager by several Israelis. According to J.J. Goldberg's reporting in the Jewish newspaper Forward, the Netanyahu government blamed Hamas for the kidnappings without evidence and pretended the kidnapped Israelis were still alive for several weeks, even though there was evidence indicating the victims were already dead. It perpetrated this deception in order to whip up anti-Arab sentiment and make it easier to justify punitive operations in the West Bank and Gaza.
Last week was no exception. Fascinated by an apparent bust-up between Israel and the European Union, most Middle East analysts (myself included) missed a very important story: Britain's arms sales to Israel are far higher than David Cameron's government has previously confessed.
Data published in a new report from the House of Commons in London states the value of all British military exports to Israel currently being processed comes to £7.9 billion ($12.1 billion).
This data was supplied by Vince Cable, Britain's business secretary, who oversees the weapons trade.
I had to do a double-take when reading this information as until now Britain has indicated that the value of its arms sales to Israel are measured in millions, rather than billions.
Each year, the EU issues a report on weapons exports for the entire Union, based on information provided by its individual governments. These reports stated that Britain approved military export licenses for Israel worth €5.7 million in 2011 and €7.2 million in 2010.
As the Argentinian-born pontiff wrapped up his regular address to the faithful, he spoke of the upcoming centenary of the outbreak of World War One and said his thoughts were on the Middle East, Iraq and Ukraine in particular.
With his voice appearing to crack with emotion, the pope broke off from his scripted remarks to make a direct appeal for fighting to end.
"Please stop!, I ask you with all my heart, it's time to stop. Stop, please!"

Afghan policemen load their Kalashnikovs during training in Camp Nathan Smith in Kandahar City
Both the US and Afghan authorities have failed to keep track of 747,000 weapons purchased for the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF), the latest report from the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) reported on Monday.
Now the US watchdog is expressing fear that at least some of these weapons could find their way into the hands of Taliban insurgents, to be used to kill ISAF and Afghan troops.
Comment:
Yeah, looks like we now know how "terrorists" in the middle east have been getting ahold of weapons. And by Terrorists we mean western backed, trained, and supplied "Proxy Armies". And by Proxy Armies we mean a psychopathic posse of mentally ill desperados and soldiers of fortune. Typical.

Chief of the Islamist Hamas movement, Khaled Meshaal holds a press conference in the Qatari capital Doha on July 23, 2014
On Saturday, Meshaal was interviewed by US broadcaster PBS in the Qatari capital Doha while in Gaza his Islamist militia was under assault from Israeli forces in renewed fighting that has left hundreds dead.
A full version of the interview will be broadcast late on Monday, but excerpts were revealed on Sunday on CBS News' "Face the Nation."
Asked by veteran interviewer Charlie Rose whether he could foresee living beside Israelis in peace, Meshaal said only a future Palestinian state could decide whether to recognize the Jewish state.
The official ruling published on Monday said Russia violated the EU Energy Charter when it redistributed the company's assets and "took steps equivalent to expropriation of the claimants' investment in Yukos."
Comment: This is the Netherlands' poorly informed act of "retribution" against Russia after they were intentionally misled by the United States into thinking that Russia was in anyway involved in the downing of MH17.
See: Asymmetric Warfare: MH17 False-Flag Terror and the 'War' on Gaza Putin blamed for #MH17 to launch attack on BRICS creation of real world bank to replace US fake world bank Flight MH17 - What You're Not Being Told and More war-mongering propaganda! U.S. Military Chief Compares Putin to Stalin to get a real idea of why and how this decision is a puerile and misguided attempt to lash out at Russia. The Netherlands is being instrumentalised by American propaganda.
Comment: The idea that Russia is going to be extorted by the Netherlands is incredible. This is just BS posturing at its finest.

This situation is creating friction among the world's superpowers not seen since the Cold War. Obama recently expressed concern that "The old order isn't holding and we're not quite where we need to be in terms of a new order." Later in the speech he blamed uncooperative nations (read Russia) for standing in the way of the New World Order.
"President Obama has emotionally checked out of his job a couple of years early, it seems," writes The Daily Caller's Matt K. Lewis in his column for the British publication Saturday.
"Candidates for president who brazenly assume they are the inevitable victor are sometimes accused of "measuring the drapes" for the White House," Lewis writes. "Obama, conversely, seems to be prematurely packing his bags in hopes for an early departure."
A Fox News poll shows that Lewis is hardly alone in believing this.
Comment: Interestingly, President Obama's adviser expressed the possibility of Republican impeachment of the president over the issue of Immigration reforms while accusing Republicans of "political games". Is immigration reform an Impeachable offense?

Comment: The fact that Palestinian rockets haven't killed many Israelis is also due in large part that they are crude garden shed projectiles fueled by sugar and fertilizer. If the 'rockets' were as threatening as Israel says, you can be sure we would be seeing the results in the media. Instead, Israelis are cheering atop parked cars as Palestinians are being slaughtered.
