US Anakonda exercise military convoy kills civilian in Poland

anakonda

Coming through! Anakonda downtown. Innocent fatality no surprise here! From video at Die Welt site
In the military exercise "Anaconda" a man has been killed and his passenger seriously injured. The man died in a collision of his car with a US military transport, which was part of a convoy driving through Poland.

In the margins of the NATO military maneuver "Anaconda" a man was killed in a car accident. [TW: Why not "armored troop carrier accident"? 3000 military vehicles and tanks, and this was a car accident.] According to a Polish military spokesman, the driver of a civilian car was killed and a passenger seriously injured when their car collided on a highway in western Poland with a US military transport. The transporter was part of a convoy, which was traveling as part of the military exercises.

24 NATO countries and several countries in the so-called Partnership for Peace involved, including Georgia and Ukraine are involved in the ten-day maneuvers called Anaconda 2016.

Ban Ki-moon: UN was threatened by numerous countries to remove Saudi Arabia from list of child murderers

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has admitted that his decision to remove the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen from the organization's blacklist came after threats from a number of countries. Human rights groups are urging him to backtrack on the decision.

Ban said on Thursday that temporarily removing the coalition from the blacklist was "one of the most painful and difficult decisions I have had to make," and that it raised "the very real prospect that millions of other children would suffer grievously."

"Children already at risk in Palestine, South Sudan, Syria, Yemen and so many other places would fall further into despair," he told reporters.

The UN secretary-general added that "it is unacceptable for member states to exert undue pressure...scrutiny is a natural and necessary part of the work of the United Nations."

Comment: This is how Saudi Arabia has operated for decades: money and violence, and the carrots and sticks that accompany them. What is remarkable is not that the Saudis blackmailed the UN to make this decision; it is that Ban went public. It's not as gutsy as refusing to 'negotiate' with the Saudi terrorist regime in the first place, but still. Just more evidence that Saudi Arabia is a Mafia state in dire need of regime change.

West is clueless, Putin is its last chance for a pro-western Russia

Putin
© www.wsj.com
For those who are not blind, the hope of the world rides with this man.
The West tends to anticipate the eventual downfall of Vladimir Putin with certain exuberance and optimism due to expectations of a more 'pro-Western' alternative or even the return of Yeltsin-era policies. The anti-Russian sanctions following Moscow's seizure of Crimea were envisioned to turn the population, business community and political elites against Putin, compelling the president to revise policies.

There is now evidence that pressure is indeed mounting on Putin to modify Russia's stance. The pressure is however not coming from a pro-Western opposition, but the hawks that are calling for the president to abandon his conciliatory approach and respond more coercively to deter NATO.

The main question asked in Moscow is why NATO is suddenly amassing its troops in an unprecedented military build-up on Russia's borders under the pretext of 'Russian aggression', more than two years after the seizure of Crimea? The prevailing response is that efforts to reconcile have not only failed, they are perceived as a weakness that has emboldened NATO.

General Aleksandr Bastrykin, the head of Russia's Investigative Committee, recently warned that Russia must rapidly develop its military and abandon illusions that a political settlement can be reached with the West. The resulting debate is mounting pressure on Putin to reverse what is deemed to be dangerous appeasement of NATO, and instead make preparations for the growing prospect of war. The West's failure to recognise the growing pressure on the Russian president derives from a failure to acknowledge that Putin actually represents the 'pro-Western' alternative in Russia.

Comment: The whole Western system of government is a coordinated puppet show and independent moves have rectifications. The West needs an enemy to be relevant, to create wealth through arms sales by the MIC, and to manipulate the global agenda to its favor. Russia will never be let into the club; it serves a far bigger purpose remaining outside.

Catapulting the propaganda: New US govt information agency to 'counter Russian and Chinese lies'

Vlad RT

The US govt is creating a new agency for 'creating healthy fact-based (sic) narratives in the media of foreign countries'...
In the true Orwellian fashion now typifying 2016, a bill to implement the U.S.' very own de facto Ministry of Truth has been quietly introduced in Congress — its lack of fanfare appropriate given the bill's equally subtle language. As with any legislation attempting to dodge the public spotlight, however, the Countering Foreign Propaganda and Disinformation Act of 2016 marks a further curtailment of press freedom and another means with which to stultify avenues of accurate information.

Introduced by Congressmen Adam Kinzinger and Ted Lieu, H.R. 5181 seeks a "whole-government approach without the bureaucratic restrictions" to counter "foreign disinformation and manipulation," which they believe threaten the world's "security and stability."

Comment: Read: The lies we tell are being countered by governments and the alternative media by, of all things, true information. Our true agenda and interests are being made plain for people to see. This is starting to destabilize our power, and thus our security. Therefore, we need a centralized location and organization to coordinate our lies and propaganda in order to better protect our national security interests - namely, our god-given entitlement to control all and everything while make us and all our cronies rich.

"As Russia continues to spew its disinformation and false narratives, they undermine the United States and its interests in places like Ukraine, while also breeding further instability in these countries," Kinzinger explained in a statement. "The United States has a role in countering these destabilizing acts of propaganda, which is why I'm proud to introduce [the aforementioned bill]. This important legislation develops a comprehensive U.S. strategy to counter disinformation campaigns through interagency cooperation and on-the-ground partnerships with outside organizations that have experience in countering foreign propaganda."

Comment: The United States does a fine job of undermining its interests when it spews forth unending streams of lies. Eventually people no longer believe what you are selling and find alternatives to it. All Russia and China, the main targets of this bill, have done is steadily provide a sane and eminently more believable perspective to the insane reality-creators' false narrative.

Make no mistake — this legislation isn't proposing some team of noble fact-finders, chiseling away to free the truth from the façades of various foreign governmental narratives for the betterment of American and allied populations. If passed, this legislation will allow cumbrously pro-'American' propaganda to infiltrate cable, online, and mainstream news organizations wherever the government deems necessary.

Comment: You know RT, CCTV, teleSUR, PressTV and others are having an impact when the US/Western CorpGovt is forced to respond overtly!

Oops: Man identified by British intelligence as 'Top People-Smuggler' is himself a refugee

people smuggler

'We got him, we got him!' roared the British media yesterday, June 8th, 2016...
Italian and British police are urgently investigating whether they caught the wrong person in a much-hyped anti-smuggling operation said to have netted one of the world's most-wanted people smugglers.

Investigators in both countries announced with great fanfare on Wednesday morning that they had seized Medhanie Yehdego Mered, a 35-year-old Eritrean whom an Italian prosecutor called "the boss of one of the most important criminal groups operating in central Africa and Libya".

Britain's National Crime Agency (NCA), which was involved in the investigation, hailed the capture of "one of the world's most-wanted people smugglers", following his extradition on Wednesday to Italy from Sudan, where he had been arrested.

But just hours later both Italy and Britain were looking into whether the Sudanese had sent them the wrong man, after three close friends of the detainee alleged to the Guardian that he was the victim of mistaken identity.

They said the man sent to Italy was in fact Medhanie Tesfamariam Berhe, known to some friends by his ancestral name of Kidane, a 27-year-old refugee arrested in a street in Khartoum late last month.

He shared a first name with the wanted man, but he had never been to Libya, where Mered was supposed to have centred his operations, and had nothing to do with people-smuggling, the three men claimed.

Comment: Talk about getting egg on your face!

Western intel types - British GCHQ in particular (the source of the Italians' 'intelligence' that Berhe/Mered was a so-called people-smuggler) are so pathetic, they can't even frame someone properly!

Barely a day after headlines blasted out across the entire interlink about how Our Great Western Leaders had caught THE top 'people-smuggler', it turns out the man they picked out as a scapegoat is himself a refugee.

It's all distraction of course, because the real people-smugglers are those same shady intel types enticing people into their dirty wars in Syria and elsewhere. And once civilians begin fleeing the ensuing chaos, state agencies again play the dominant role in deciding who moves where.

Netanyahu sidles up to Putin, what does it mean?

Gripping! Check out the expressions and body language...!
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were all smiles when they shook hands for the fourth time in a year Tuesday. Netanyahu is in Moscow for the third time since fall 2015 to mark the 25th anniversary of Russia and Israel's diplomatic relationship. It is therefore all the more surprising that the two men are meeting in such amicable circumstances.

Far from being traditional bedfellows, the Kremlin and Tel Aviv did not even maintain direct channels with one another until a quarter of a century ago. The Soviet Union perceived Israel as a U.S.-backed state and even motioned that the U.N. equate Zionism to racism in 1975. Israel, meanwhile, perceived Moscow as a backer of regional foes such as Syria and Egypt.

Now the situation has changed greatly. Israeli newspaper Haaretz declared that "ties between Israel and Russia have never been better" on the eve of the meeting. Putin and Netanyahu have quite a few reasons to get along and it is not out of the question that the two leaders will find plenty more occasions to touch base in future. Here is why.

Comment: Haaretz is rose-coloring the outcome of this meeting, useful propaganda for its home-town audience and greater influence abroad.

Comment: Regardless the multiple topics of discussion, Netanyahu is a one-trick pony. He wants Russia to intercede on Israel's behalf, just like he wants all gullible Western nations to do the hard lifting and smooth the way for Israel...via guilt-tripping and obligation. Is Russia 'playing' 'the devil you know?' Surely Putin is not buying into this snake charmer! The reason to pay attention to Israel is its nuclear arsenal and a heads-up as to the agenda of its single-minded pathological leadership. Becoming involved in Israeli machinations is a one-way slippery slope with discovery after the fact.

Great glyphosate rebellion: Europe refuses temporary license extension

Glyphosate rebellion
© Sustainable pulse
A revised proposal by the European Commission to re-approve glyphosate for use in Europe for 9 more years, with almost no restrictions, failed to secure the required majority among EU governments
The Great Glyphosate Rebellion continues at full pace in Europe as a new European Commission proposal for a temporary license extension of 18 months failed to receive support from the European Union members states.

The European Commission may now submit its temporary extension proposal to an appeal committee of political representatives of the 28 EU member states within one month.

Comment: There is a growing Glyphosate 'revolution':
Public pressure against glyphosate in countries across Europe has been intense, with nearly 1.5 million people petitioning the EU's health commissioner, Vytenis Andriukaitis, for a ban on the substance, the Guardian reported.

After a Dutch parliament vote opposing the renewal of glyphosate's permit, the Netherlands called for a postponement of the EU-wide decision. "If there is no possibility to postpone the vote, then we will vote against the proposal," said Marcel van Beusekom, a spokesman for the Netherlands agriculture ministry.

The move by Sweden and the Netherlands follows the announcement on Friday by French Minister of Ecology Ségolène Royal that France will vote against the EU re-licensing of glyphosate.

Royal also added that France was not backing the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) on their recent safety assessment of glyphosate and was instead basing their decision on the report of the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) in 2015, which declared glyphosate to be a probable human carcinogen.

FBI found 300+ classified docs on CIA director Petraeus' mistress's laptop

Newly released documents reveal that during the search of former CIA director David Petraeus' home, the FBI discovered more than 300 classified documents on the personal computer of his biographer and mistress, Paula Broadwell.

Documents related to the home search-related FBI affidavit were unsealed Tuesday by the US District Court in Eastern Virginia. The search warrant was requested as part of a sweeping federal investigation into the relationship between Broadwell and Petraeus, a highly decorated military commander.

The probe uncovered the affair, revealed their mishandling of classified documents, and led to Petraeus' resignation as the head of the CIA. Petraeus pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of mishandling government documents and was fined $100,000.

Comment: Petraeus was head of the operation to supply Libyan weapons to Syria-based terrorists. He's directly responsible for much of the carnage in Syria over the past 5 years. As usual, the crimes for which he is being prosecuted are only a drop in the bucket, and the worst of them remain covered up.

Photo op fail: Savchenko visits 'ATO' frontline, NATO laptop visible in pics

savchenko nato

A possible NATO laptop can be seen at the bottom left
Photos of pardoned war criminal Nadia Savchenko's surprise visit to the Donbass front (otherwise known as the "ATO"), which were published on the pro-Kiev website Ukrinform.net, showed something very incriminating - or at least embarrassing.

savchenko

The location of this kitten is currently unknown. If you have any information, please contact the SBU.
The photos, which showed Savchenko fondling a kitten in a military tent (no word on the current health status of the kitten), peering over computers, and sitting in the cockpit of a Ukrainian aircraft which probably can't take off, included one which somehow made it past an incompetent censor. A laptop computer can be clearly seen with an official NATO desktop background.

Is it a NATO laptop, or just a NATO background? Either this is an actual NATO device and evidence of direct NATO involvement in running Kiev's campaign against the rebels, or it is the result of idiotic Ukrainian delusions of grandeur that they are members of NATO - rather like the EU flags flying in Kiev in fulfillment of the collective hallucination that they are, or ever will be soon, part of the European Union.

In either case, it is a sign of humiliating subservience to foreign powers that makes a mockery of Ukrainian slogans about freedom and independence.

Comment: While in the Donbass, Savchenko met with fellow psychopath Dmitry Yarosh, and allegedly tested an "experimental weapon". Ironically, her fanatical nationalism may actually have 1 or 2 positive effects. First, she has called for direct negotiations with the leadership of DPR and LPR, in the hopes of securing the release of Ukrainian prisoners (something SBU and other NATO/CIA minions find unacceptable). Second, she realizes that it makes no sense for Ukraine to simply send its young men to the slaughter and doesn't seem to support resuming a full-scale offensive.

Persian Gulf temperatures leave elite British warships defenseless

British warship
Britain's Royal Navy quite literally landed itself in hot water, which is causing its most advanced fleet of destroyers to shut down and immobilize when positioned in the Persian Gulf.

The repeated power outages, which leave the ships unable to attack or move, was reported by several sources, Alaraby reported.

Manafacturer Rolls Royce have blamed the Persian Gulf's high temperatures for the problem, which is expected to cost tens of millions of pounds to fix.

Without the corrective work, however, British naval units would be left as sitting ducks in the event of a battle at sea.
