US trade war on China 'destroyed' Alibaba CEO's hopes to create 1mn jobs for Americans

Alibaba's executive chairman Jack Ma has said that his promise to Donald Trump to create one million jobs in the US is no longer valid and viable after Washington slapped Beijing with new round of tariffs on $200bn worth of goods.

When Jack Ma met president Trump in January 2017, he laid out a five-year vision which would create one million jobs in the United States. Instead of building factories, or establishing Alibaba operation centers in the US, the Chinese billionaire expressed hope that small American businesses can sell goods to consumers in China thereby creating more domestic jobs in the US. Just over eighteen months down the line, Trump and his protectionist trade practices seem to have ruined these prospects for small businesses, such as farmers and small clothing makers, who could have tapped the Chinese market.

Rep. Louis Gohmert: DOJ and Dems resisting declassification to protect the guilty

The reason Democrats and the Justice Department (DOJ) are resisting President Donald Trump's order to declassify certain Russia investigation documents is that they want to "protect the guilty," Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-Texas) said Tuesday.

"The reason for the delay has been to protect the guilty," Gohmert told Fox Business Host Lou Dobbs. "The names are being redacted, things are being redacted to protect the guilty. So, that's the reason that they're being redacted. That's the reason they're being slow to uncover these things."

History shows previous declassifications opposed by Democrats, ultimately exposed, wrongdoing, Rep. Gohmert noted:
"Every time we have seen something be unredacted - it wasn't about sources and methods, we want to protect those - but, every time, it has been self-serving to protect the people who have been violating federal regulations, violating protocol of the Justice Department or violating the law.

"And, so, it's kind of calling wolf one too many times to be saying, "Gee, this is terrible." No, it's transparency, and the American people need to see just how bad the DOJ was weaponized and was utilized."

US State Department: Daesh used rudimentary chemical weapons in terror attacks

Daesh used rudimentary chemical weapons and encouraged sympathizers to use whatever other weapon at their disposal to carry out terrorist attacks, the US Department of State said in a report on Wednesday.

"[Daesh terror group*] has experimented with and employed small unmanned aerial systems and has used rudimentary chemical weapons," the State Department said in its Country Reports on Terrorism 2017. "The group encouraged sympathizers to use whatever weapons were at hand - such as large vehicles - against soft targets and public spaces."

The report noted that Daesh lost territory and continued shifting away from a centralized command-and-control structure toward a more diffuse one. Such an approach to operations included handing down the responsibility of deciding where, when and how to attack to homegrown terrorists inspired or enabled by the terror group.

Also State Department Coordinator for Counterterrorism Nathan Sales said in a conference call on Wednesday that the number of attacks by homegrown extremists is continuing to grow including those inspired by Daesh.

Comment: No one should ever forget that Daesh and other associated "terror groups" have, from the start, been financed, armed and trained by Western intelligence.

False Flag: Ukrainian troops shelled their own positions prior to arrival of OSCE observers

ukraine tank
Ukrainian fighters, on the eve of a visit to the Lugansk People's Republic, by the first deputy head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (HMM), Aleksandr Huga, staged a false flag attack on their own positions, which were then blamed on the People's Militia of the LPR. This was reported by the official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko.

Earlier, the command of the so-called "operation of the united forces" accused the People's Militia of shelling areas of the Crimean and Lugansk settlements under the control of Kiev.

Marochko noted that the practice of false accusations of LPR servicemen by the Ukrainian side "has long acquired a systematic character."

"On the eve of the visit of the first deputy head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (CMM) in Ukraine, Alexander Khug, the Ukrainian forces are actively shelling their positions as if they were our attacks," the lieutenant colonel said.

Christine Blasey Ford better be careful what she wishes for

christine blasey and kavanaugh
I've been through the process of Senate advise-and-consent confirmation, including an FBI background investigation, and must warn Professor Christine Blasey to be careful what she wishes for:
A woman who has accused President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, of sexual assault decades ago wants her allegations to be investigated by the FBI before she appears at a U.S. Senate hearing, her lawyers said on Tuesday.
As President Trump noted, Judge Kavanaugh has been through the FBI wringer six times:
"He is one of the great intellects and one of the finest people that anybody has known. You look at his references - I've never seen anything quite like it," he said. "The FBI has I think gone through a process six times with him over the years where he went to higher and higher positions. He is somebody very special."
Because Senator Feinstein waited until the very last minute to bring up this serious charge, the FBI would be faced with what is called "raw" information in the FBI advise-and-consent vetting process.

The 'curious links' between George Soros & Kavanaugh's accuser

Look at what's going on with Judge Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation proceedings for the Supreme Court, and the fingerprints of George Soros are all over it.

First there was a report from June in the Daily Caller that found "a new political advocacy group that vowed to put $5 million behind an effort to stop ... Kavanaugh's confirmation has significant ties to the liberal financier" Soros.

What are those ties?

The group, Demand Justice, established in 2018, gets its money from the Sixteen Thirty Fund - and the Sixteen Thirty Fund received roughly $2.2 million from the Open Society Policy Center, one of Soros' outlets, between the years of 2012 and 2016.

Report alleges the Inspector General set a 'trap' for Strzok & McCabe

Andrew McCabe
“Any documents, files, and databases that were deleted or manipulated” by McCabe and Strzok were noted and recorded by the federal IG investigators.
Former high ranking Federal Bureau of Investigation officials Andrew McCabe and Peter Strzok were caught "in flagrante delicto" as the Romans say. An Inspector General sting busted them "in the act," True Pundit reports, citing "well-placed FBI and DOJ sources."

Two of the "brightest minds who served the FBI," didn't have a clue that their computers were bugged and they were both under constant government surveillance. Just before the disgraced duo were finally removed from the payroll and while they still had access to classified FBI data and resources, a carefully engineered ambush was set.

It's alleged that the trap was sprung when, separately, each official stupidly "tried to destroy incriminating evidence and documents," two of the whistleblowing FBI inside sources reportedly assert.

Israel provoked IL-20 incident to sabotage Idlib agreement, says senior advisor to Erdogan

Analiza: Tko gubi, a tko dobiva u rusko-turskom sporazumu o Idlibu
On September 19, Yasin Aktay, a senior advisor of Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said that Israel provoked the Il-20 incident in order to sabotage the "positive atmosphere" that resulted of the Russian-Turkish agreement on the Syrian governorate of Idlib. According to the senior Turkish official, Israel is now working to keep the war in Syria ongoing.
"Weakening and destabilizing Syria are among the priorities of Israel, regardless if Assad was the ruler of the country or anyone else, it's clear that that it wants the war in Syria and the killing of the Syrian people to continue in order to drain the strength and power of Syria so no strong state remain near it," Aktay said during an interview with the Russian news outlet Sputnik.

The real solution in Syria begins after Israel's failed attempt to start World War III

Syria air defense

There is one thing that Israel fears more than anything else in Syria. The loss of its ability to fly its F-16's with impunity and hit whatever targets it wants claiming defensive measures to stop Iran, their existential enemy.

Israel finally admitted to carrying out over 200 such missions over the past 18 months, only a few of which ever made any kind of international media, recently.

And with the sneak attack on Latakia which involved using a Russian IL-20 ELINT war plane as radar cover Israel has now not only raised the stakes to an unacceptable level, it has also ensured that this may be the last such aerial assault it will ever be able to carry out.

The setup is pretty clear. Israel and France coordinated an attack on multiple targets within Syria without US involvement but with absolute US knowledge of the operation to provoke Russia into going off half-cocked by attacking the inconsequential French frigate which assisted Israel's air attack.

Comment: A number of commentators seem to be in agreement that it was no coincidence that the latest Israeli dirty trick came right after Putin and Erdogan reached an agreement regarding Idlib:

U-turn on multiculturalism? Danish public broadcaster told to stress importance of country's roots in Christianity

Sankt Petri church
© Fabian Bimmer / ReutersSankt Petri church in Copenhagen, Denmark
New guidelines for the Danish public broadcaster DR have put an emphasis on its highlighting the roots in Christianity of the country's society, instead of multiculturalism and integration, which DR had been promoting.

The new contract with the state broadcaster was published by the Danish Ministry of Culture on Tuesday. Apart from budget cuts, which could mean up to 400 jobs losses, the document signals a huge change in broadcaster's programming.

The contract states that the DR must make it clear that Danish society is based on principles of "democracy and has its roots in Christianity." Previous issues of the contract had stated the broadcaster should "work for the promotion of integration in Danish society."

The vague "integration" reference has been dropped and now the broadcaster's mission is described as being to "promote a Denmark based on community, built on values of democracy, equality and free speech."
