Puppet Masters
Since the rioting began after the death of George Floyd it's been obvious to anyone with any experience in covering global politics that these have been a directed operation aimed at undermining the presidency of Donald Trump here in the U.S.
The formation of the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) in downtown Seattle is the latest in a series of provocations and escalations intended to goad Trump into invoking the Insurrection Act of 1878 and deploying the military to put down these riots endlessly promoted by a complicit media in the West as mostly 'peaceful protests.'
They are anything but that.
This is a situation that, because of the subsidization of it by the Mayor, Jenny Durkan, and the Governor, Jay Inslee, that will persist just long enough to descend into violence and chaos. Note how I don't use the word anarchy.

Trump's warning against 'autonomous zones' has been declared 'abusive' by Twitter
"There will never be an 'Autonomous Zone' in Washington, DC, as long as I'm your President. If they try they will be met with serious force!" Trump tweeted on Tuesday, after a large crowd of masked protesters tried setting up barricades in Lafayette Park.
Graffiti declared the set-up to be the 'Black House Autonomous Zone,' a take on the infamous CHAZ/CHOP experiment in Seattle, on the other side of the country.

To most people, if they are familiar with it at all, BlackRock is an asset manager that helps pension funds and retirees manage their savings through "passive" investments that track the stock market. But working behind the scenes, it is much more than that. BlackRock has been called "the most powerful institution in the financial system," "the most powerful company in the world" and the "secret power." It is the world's largest asset manager and "shadow bank," larger than the world's largest bank (which is in China), with over $7 trillion in assets under direct management and another $20 trillion managed through its Aladdin risk-monitoring software. BlackRock has also been called "the fourth branch of government" and "almost a shadow government", but no part of it actually belongs to the government. Despite its size and global power, BlackRock is not even regulated as a "Systemically Important Financial Institution" under the Dodd-Frank Act, thanks to pressure from its CEO Larry Fink, who has long had "cozy" relationships with government officials.
Comment: More on BlackRock's maneuver at the start of lockdowns in mid-March by the Martens at Wall Street on Parade:
Before there was a crisis, BlackRock authored the bailout plan, now hired by 3 central banks to implement itOne of BlackRock's tentacles revealed itself in France in late December when it emerged that the very govt minister responsible for pushing a plan to 'reform' the country's pension system (i.e., to plunder it) was literally on BlackRock's payroll while doing it.

Russian military personnel in historical uniforms rehearse for Victory Day parade
Published by the National Interest on Thursday, Putin's text revisits some of the lesser-known historical facts to address narratives increasingly popular in the West - including the claim that the Soviet Union was as much to blame as Hitler's Germany for starting the war, or that it was somehow the Western Allies who won the war, while the overwhelming Soviet contribution is erased entirely.
Putin's essay is more than a polemic about history, however. While he does seek to set the record straight, the Russian president also offers an important reason why he is doing so. Historical revisionism "grossly and cynically distorts the understanding of the principles" set forth in 1945 by the Allied powers, on which the current international order is based, he argues.
Now that order is under attack - not by Russia, as Western powers continuously claim, but by the West itself - through historical revisionism about the origins of WWII, erasure of memory, destruction of monuments and even celebration of Nazi collaborators.

Police officers clash with protesters during an attempt to pull down the statue of former US President Andrew Jackson near the White House in Washington, DC, June 22, 2020.
"Numerous people arrested in DC for the disgraceful vandalism, in Lafayette Park, of the magnificent Statue of Andrew Jackson, in addition to the exterior defacing of St. John's Church across the street," Trump tweeted on Monday night, after several protests erupted in the city.
10 years in prison under the Veteran's Memorial Preservation Act. Beware!
Comment: 'No exceptions!' Trump orders the arrest of anyone vandalizing monuments, warns they face up to 10 years in prison
Donald Trump has authorized law enforcement to arrest anyone who vandalizes statues or other landmarks on federal property and sentence them to as much as a decade in prison. He said the measures can also be imposed retroactively.
The US president wrote on Twitter that he would no longer tolerate the destruction of federal property.
"I have authorized the Federal Government to arrest anyone who vandalizes or destroys any monument, statue or other such Federal property in the U.S. with up to 10 years in prison, per the Veteran's Memorial Preservation Act, or such other laws that may be pertinent," he said, adding that his instructions would be implemented "immediately" and may also be used retroactively to prosecute vandals.
"There will be no exceptions!" he warned.
Trump had earlier hinted that protesters who attacked a statue of Andrew Jackson, located across from the White House in Lafayette Park, could face years in prison. He said similar punishments could be imposed on those who vandalized the historic St. John's Church.
Police intervened and dispersed the protesters as they attempted to pull down the Jackson statue on Monday. The statue, as well as the nearby church, was tagged with graffiti.
Countless statues and monuments have been vandalized and toppled across the United States. In most cases, police have been hesitant to get involved. Trump's new directive appears to apply only to federal property - which likely means that many instances of vandalism will remain unpunished.

Part of wreckage from Ukraine International Airlines flight shot down January 8, 2020 near Tehran.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif made the remarks in a phone call with his Canadian counterpart, Francois-Philippe Champagne, his ministry said in a statement on June 22.
Champagne said in the statement that Zarif had committed to sending the flight recorders to France without further delay. The Canadian minister, who has consistently pressed Iran to compensate the families of victims, also said Iran had "agreed to enter into negotiations for reparations." According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Tehran has told Kyiv it was ready to "resolve legal issues and discuss how to compensate the families" of victims, but was yet to receive a delegation from the other party.
Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752 was shot down by Iran's air defenses after taking off from Tehran's main airport on January 8. All 176 people on board the Kyiv-bound aircraft were killed in what Tehran later acknowledged was a "mistake." The victims included 82 Iranian citizens and 63 Canadians, many of them of Iranian origin.

American graduates and professionals helped to win the new curbs — which are likely to be announced June 22 — by lobbying legislators, and by making their views clear via email, Twitter posts, and article comments, said the insiders. Their stories and activism put a human face on the many polls that show Americans like immigrants but strongly prefer that unemployed Americans get jobs, they said.
"People saw it all — it had an influence," said one administration official.
Kevin Lynn, founder of U.S. Tech Workers commented:
"The difference between now and two years ago is night and day. I've talked to people on the hill — staffers and lobbyists — and they've never seen this kind of reaction from the professionals here. The white collar groups are a potentially powerful ally for blue collar Americans, who have largely been dismissed by the upmarket journalists and staffers in the D.C. establishment. But the journalists and staffers have college friends, siblings, parents, and adult children whose white collar jobs and careers are being sidelined by CEOs' preference for visa workers.
"We're celebrating this victory but we'll be back at it tomorrow. We need to reward the politicians that helped us get this and we need to punish the politicians that didn't help us with this."
Comment: Taking care of business, Trump has American workers front and center - unlike another political party. However, others think guest workers boost business, not take American jobs...
Linda Moore, the president and chief executive of the tech industry's lobbying group, TechNet:
"The technology industry is working overtime to keep Americans connected during a global pandemic by providing food delivery services, telehealth care, collaborative business solutions, and ways for families and friends to stay connected. Looking forward, technology will continue to be crucial to the rebuilding of our economy. Today's executive order only hinders the ability of businesses to make decisions on how best to deploy their existing workforce and hire new employees. This will slow innovation and undermine the work the technology industry is doing to help our country recover from unprecedented events."
"Whether his administration realizes it or not, they creating a significant handicap for US innovation. Our most innovative and impactful portfolio companies and many of their employees started as H-1b holders," wrote Stonly Baptiste, the co-founder of technology investment fund, Urban.us. "We literally couldn't have built our portfolio in an environment without H-1B. And we're not even an immigrant focused fund."
"By limiting the talent pool for American companies, the US government is hindering our ability to build strong, defensible organizations," wrote Andy Coravos, the chief executive officer of the healthcare-focused startup Elektra Labs, in a direct message. "The Trump Administration's Executive Order to suspend foreign work visas is not only based in fear, but also perpetuates fear within our community, and is not in our society's best interest."
Healthcare workers, coronavirus researchers, food supply workers in food packaging are all exempt from the visa suspensions.
Technology executives aren't the only ones coming out against the tighter immigration rules. A group of nine Republican senators including South Carolina's powerful senior senator, Lindsey Graham, and Texas Senator John Cornyn, issued a joint letter on May 27, which pleaded with the President to reconsider the rumored immigration restrictions.
Households will be able to host visitors, including overnight, and to meet with members of different households, on different occasions - including in a pub, restaurant or hotel, for example.
The 2-metre rule has been central to the government's battle against the spread of Covid-19 but with infections declining, the cabinet has rubber-stamped new, less stringent guidance.
Comment: Some snippets from UK govt. officials who make it very clear that masks don't work. We'll have to consider some other reason for their continued use. Symbolic muzzles?
The UK govt. is showing it's true totalitarian nature in dragging out its punishment of the British people. Somehow, they are 'banning' family members and friends from touching each other or hugging while indoors. Apparently this might be ok in the garden though...
"Families will be allowed to meet groups of relations or friends indoors for the first time since lockdown began - but there will be a ban on hugging or touching."
Another former senior SIB officer has said that British paratroopers should have been convicted of killing another Iraqi but they escaped punishment when a trial collapsed after failings in an SIB investigation.
Declassified UK has spoken to four former soldiers in the SIB, which deployed to the Iraq conflict in 2003 alongside conventional troops, ready to investigate serious incidents involving UK forces, including potential British war crimes. None wanted to be named.
Decisions were made not to send sufficiently qualified senior investigating officers to command the SIB during the invasion and early tours, the former SIB members said. This made it easier for the army's senior command to influence the investigations into abuses and created a backlog of unresolved cases, they say.
