Kuwait will rebuild the national wheat silos in the port of Beirut, in a gesture of solidarity and brotherhood with Lebanon and its people, according to Lebanon's state news agency NNA. This was announced on Saturday by Abdel-Aal Al-Qenaei, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Lebanon, the agency reported.

"We decided that the best and most appropriate way to start with the material aid is to rebuild the silos that provide the strategic reserve of wheat for brotherly Lebanon," Qenaei said in an interview with Radio Lebanon. The envoy pointed out that

"these silos were originally built in the year 1969 with a loan from the Kuwait Fund for Development, and that is why we decided to announce their rebuilding to continue providing strategic stocks of wheat for the Lebanese people.

"I believe that to rebuild what was destroyed in this disaster, whether the port or the affected areas, there will be an international conference through the United Nations, as announced, to assess the extent of damage and how countries can contribute by providing what they can to repair the damage, whether in the port or elsewhere."

"Kuwait, on its own initiative, established an air bridge, and also participated in the conference called for by French President Emmanuel Macron.

"Kuwait has committed $41 million to help Lebanon, including $30 million in prior commitments and $11 million in relief, medical and food aid. Kuwait has never been late in supporting every international effort to extend a helping hand to brotherly Lebanon."

"So far, 18 Kuwait planes have transported approximately 800 tons of aid, and God willing, the aid will continue as much as possible. We wish the injured a speedy recovery and we say to you: Kuwait is always by your side."

Facebook Inc (FB.O) is considering halting political advertising after U.S. Election Day to curb post-election misinformation, a source who has had discussions with the company said Friday.

The source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak for Facebook, said the company has talked with experts about potential election scenarios, including the possibility of U.S. President Donald Trump using the platform to dispute election results.

The New York Times reported here on Friday, citing unnamed sources, that Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg and some company executives met daily about how to minimize ways the platform could be used to dispute the election and have discussed the option of a political ads "kill switch" after the Nov. 3 election. "It is previously reported news that we are considering a range of political advertising options during the closing period of the election," Facebook spokesman Andy Stone said in a statement, declining to provide details.

Last year, smaller rival Twitter Inc (TWTR.N) banned political ads, but Facebook has maintained that it does not want to stifle political speech. Twitter (TWTR.N) told Reuters that it was planning for an election period that effectively continued to Inauguration Day in January and for misinformation policies to cover any unique scenarios.

The most dynamic aspect of the economic paradigm of the United States over the past century has been the mass transfer of wealth to the few, and the new ruling society created due to this shift. There are approximately 158 million in the American workforce, so with nearly a third of the population now out of work, the future implications are deadly. The ruler's plan for this fall and winter is to vastly increase the fear and panic by claiming a huge second wave of this 'virus,' and this will be easily accomplished due to the fact that the entire population of this country has been weakened dramatically due to isolation, job loss, quarantine, mask wearing, and continued stress. Immune systems in this country are shot, and this flu season will be used to advance the propaganda that is already at ludicrous levels. When that happens, more isolation, enforceable mandates, lockdown, increased business closures, and more will cause increased additional harm; more than has occurred to date. The split in society will continue to widen, and the civil unrest will worsen throughout the fall and winter.

Mayor Brian Snedecor of Hobart, Indiana, announced that he has left the Democratic Party to join the Republicans. He argued that it was his Christian faith that made him make that decision.

As reported by The Times of Northwest Indiana, on Aug. 15, Brian Snedecor, along with family members, elected officials, and some 200 supporters at Hobart's Park Festival, gave a speech in which he excitedly told those present that he had made the decision to join the Republican Party.

The Hobart mayor assured his supporters that he would not change his leadership style because he had changed his political flag, "Although my party has changed, my concern, care, and love for the citizens of Hobart has not," Snedecor said.

During Joe Biden's presidential nomination acceptance speech Thursday night, both his personal YouTube page and the Democratic Party's YouTube page saw strong, negative reactions from live audiences. In fact, "Dislikes" outnumbered "Likes," in real time.

Yet both pages' "Dislikes" mysteriously dropped in the hours after the Democratic National Convention (DNC) had concluded. The changing statistics led some on social media to wonder if the Google-owned YouTube platform was protecting Biden.

The number of Democratic convention stream "Dislikes"--or people pressing a button saying they did not like the content onscreen--dropped on Friday below where they stood on Thursday last night. The removed Dislikes could be a signal that YouTube is concerned about fake accounts or bots trying to influence the election or indicative of something else, experts said.

In 2016, Democrat front-runner, Hillary Clinton lost the election because she failed to see her support was eroding in the key Rust Belt states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. Trump won all three states with a measly 77, 651 votes total. All three states were expected to go Democrat but flipped to the GOP due to Clinton's support for free trade and immigration policies that cost jobs and imposed unwelcome demographic changes on the working people of those states. The Democrats and Hillary have never accepted the factual version of how the election was lost. Instead, they fabricated a conspiracy theory about Trump colluding with Russia. Although the Mueller Report proved that the claims of meddling were baseless, Clinton and the Dems continue to trot them out at every opportunity. On Tuesday at the convention, Hillary again reiterated the lie that Trump stole the election. She said:

"Vote like our lives and livelihoods are on the line, because they are. Remember: Joe and Kamala can win 3 million more votes and still lose. Take it from me. We need numbers so overwhelming Trump can't sneak or steal his way to victory."

US President Donald Trump says America would decouple from China if "they don't treat us right", as a planned review of the phase one trade deal the two sides agreed in January remains on hold.

In a short excerpt from an interview with Fox News set to air on Sunday, Trump said the US was not obliged to do business with China.

"Would you ever just decouple, not do business with China? Because, you know, we don't have to," he said.

"It's something that if they don't treat us right I would certainly, I would certainly do that."

The president's comments come at a time of deep conflict between Washington and Beijing over a range of issues, from trade and technology to Hong Kong and the South China Sea.

A major explosion hit the Natanz uranium enrichment facility in Isfahan, central Iran on July 2. Tehran has since ruled out a missile or drone attack on the facility, but has also warned that if foreign involvement was discovered, there would be "consequences."

The July 2 explosion and fire at the Natanz nuclear facility was the result of sabotage, Behrouz Kamalvandi, a spokesman for Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, has said. "The explosion at Natanz nuclear facility was a result of sabotage operations, security authorities will reveal in due time the reason behind the blast," Kamalvandi said, speaking to al-Alam TV in an excerpt from an interview published Sunday.

Iranian investigators said they had determined the "main cause" of the blast two days after the incident, on July 4, but added that "security considerations" made it necessary to reveal the details about the "cause and nature" of the incident at a later date.

US and Arab media have speculated that the explosion was the result of a bomb blast, a cyberattack, or even an attack by Israeli F-35 jets. Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz dismissed claims of Israeli involvement, saying "not every event that happens in Iran is connected to us."

The conservative host just could not accept the fact that Joe Biden delivered his speech "without making a mistake, without some kind of a flub."

On Thursday night, a series of Fox News hosts and commentators readily acknowledged that Joe Biden "blew a hole" in President Donald Trump's depiction of him as a demented old man by delivering a highly effective speech at the Democratic National Convention. Even Laura Ingraham had to admit that Biden "beat expectations."

Rush Limbaugh has a different theory.

The conservative radio host who not so long ago received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Trump during a State of the Union address, spent his show Friday pushing the notion that Biden did not, in fact, deliver his speech live.

President Trump on Saturday accused the "deep state" at the Food and Drug Administration of making it hard for drug companies to test coronavirus treatments -- and suggested the agency is trying to delay them until after Election Day.

"The deep state, or whoever, over at the FDA is making it very difficult for drug companies to get people in order to test the vaccines and therapeutics. Obviously, they are hoping to delay the answer until after November 3rd. Must focus on speed, and saving lives!"
