Fidel Castro: NATO: the Brutal Alliance

Image

Fidel Castro
NATO's brutal military alliance has become the most perfidious instrument of repression known in the history of humankind.

NATO took on that global repressive role as soon as the USSR, which had served the United States as an excuse for its creation, ceased to exist. Its criminal purpose became obvious in Serbia, a Slavic country, whose people had so heroically fought against Nazi troops in WW II.

When in March of 1999 the countries of this ill-fated organization, in its efforts to disintegrate Yugoslavia after the death of Josip Broz Tito, sent their troops in support of the Kosovar secessionists, they ran into strong resistance from that nation whose experienced forces were still intact.

US-backed Kenyan forces invade Somalia

Marching across ... Kenyan troops crossing into Somali territory.
Kenya sent military forces into Somalia last week, vowing to fight al-Shabaab militants it blamed for a spate of abductions of foreign nationals in recent weeks in northern Kenya, near the Somali border. The operation, involving 1,600 soldiers, is the first foreign intervention carried out by Kenya in its history.

Al-Shabaab spokesman Sheikh Ali Mohamud Rage warned Kenya: "We know fighting more than you and defeated other invaders before... We shall inflict on you the same damage you inflicted on us. You have to see what happened to the other aggressors, like [Ugandan President Yoweri] Museveni and his country when they invaded us. We hit them in their country."

The intervention by Kenyan military forces was requested and welcomed by the US-backed Somali Transitional Federal Government (TFG) in Mogadishu. Somali government spokesman Abdirahman Omar Osman said: "The governments of Kenya and Somalia are now cooperating in the fight against al Shabaab, which is an enemy of both countries."

US officials said last week that they have been pressuring Kenya to "do something" in response to a string of security incidents along the Kenya-Somalia border, while at the same time maintaining that the Kenyan invasion into Somalia caught them by surprise.

Kenya blasts kill 1, injure 20

Separate blasts rocked the capital of Kenya on Monday, killing at least one person and injuring 20, officials said.

The second explosion took place at a crowded bus station in downtown Nairobi. One person was killed and eight wounded, according to the Kenyan police and Red Cross.

"This is a time when a lot of people would have been going home from work -- more or less rush hour," said Robert Nagil, a journalist in Nairobi.

Charles Owino, a deputy police spokesman, confirmed the explosion and said he was awaiting more details.

France to support Kenya's incursion into Somalia

Image

Somalia's president has opposed the Kenyan military presence in Somalia
France will give logistical support to Kenyan forces pursuing Islamist militants across the border in Somalia, a French military spokesman says.

Col Thierry Burkhard said French planes would transport military equipment to Kenyan soldiers near the Somali border.

But he denied Kenyan military claims that a French warship had shelled a Somali town on Saturday.

Meanwhile, some Somalis have protested against their president for opposing the incursion which began last week.

Kenya's Incursion into Somalia Raises the Stakes

Kenyan troops are searching for aid workers believed to have been kidnapped by al-Shabab
Kenya has in the past trained Somali troops for deployment near the border to create a buffer zone in an effort to keep al-Shabab militants away, but the presence of Kenyan soldiers inside Somalia has always been played down or even flatly denied.

The very public announcement of this incursion into Somalia by the Kenyan army and air force is a significant change of policy, which seems at least partly aimed at sending a message to the Kenyan people and the rest of the world that the issue of security is being taken seriously.

"Our territorial integrity is threatened with serious security threats of terrorism. We cannot allow this to happen at all," Kenya's Internal Security Minister George Saitoti told the media.

"It means we are now going to pursue the enemy, who are the al-Shabab, to wherever they will be, even in their country."

Free Market War on Gaddafi: Unjust, but Natural

Image

Gaddafi clasps hands with Mandela in Tripoli in April 1986. In the background is Gaddafi's house which had been bombed by the US government.
The war against Libya is a continued assault on part of the imperialist and rogue nations of the First World against the champions of anti-imperialism, anti-colonialism and progressive socialism of the Third World. Contrary to corporate media spins, the war is neither about oil money, nor about installing democracy. It is neither about the rebel uprising in the Arab world, nor about merely ending a dictatorial regime.

The war against Libya is an attack on every remnant of collective human aspiration for freedom, peace, justice and equality. The war against Libya is a war against every future possibility that can enable international solidarities among peoples who envision a better world that belongs not to oligarchs and media monopolists, but is shaped up by the ideas of the internationalists, the pan-Africanists.

Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's demand for the United States of Africa does not manifest in a Utopia. Quite the opposite: it is a scathing indictment of an unequal world whose mammoth immoralities are deep-rooted in an oppressed Africa. The only way the world's richest continent has been kept impoverished thus far is through systematic subjugation of its human and natural resources, via colonial power sharing. Just as Che Guevara's dream for a unified Latin America resulted in his assassination, Gaddafi's dream for a unified Africa has the murderers on the loose on a hunt for him. Just as Che and the Cuban revolution have been consistently portrayed in the most inhuman manners through western media propaganda and official foreign sanctions, Gaddafi's life of revolutionary commitments has been spun by the western media with, as Hugo Chavez says, "a colossal campaign of lies".

Comment: A most excellent article on the NATO bombing of and 'coup d'etat' in Libya in 2011.

American Psycho Redux

"Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one."

Charles Mackay
The US is remarkable, not for any unusual distribution of psychopaths amongst its people, but rather for the high regard and admiration in which the more articulate and successful psychopaths and sociopaths among their ranks are held by the public, their natural prey.

The problem is not that there are disturbed and destructive people in a society. The problem is when they are able to subvert a culture to satisfy their goals, when their animalistic cunning and heartlessness becomes fashionable, imitated, and even respected.

It is surely the greatest triumph of madness over common sense since the self-destruction of nations in the 20th century. Whole peoples surrendered themselves to ruthless leaders, thrilled to be ravaged by power without weakness. They drank deeply from the cup of madness and danced with the culture of death. And that is what it is to be without boundaries or constraints, free as gods on earth.

"He may have destroyed men, women, and children, and condemned thousands of families to homelessness and despair, but he never wavered in his resolve and conviction while doing it. He amassed great power and fortune, and he never got caught. He believed in himself, and he's a winner."

Libya & Gaddafi - The Truth you are not supposed to know

What the West has done through NATO is beyond tragic, and all the people who have bought the latest round of lies and manipulation will look to Libya as they now look to Iraq, and they will see another disaster that most can never imagine.

I did not make this video, but it is so relevant and I am grateful to whoever did.

NATO Preps for World War?

World War III
© The Daily Bell
According to reliable sources, China has attempted to warn Russia of US and NATO plans to initiate a global armed conflict. This conflict has reportedly moved from the drawing board to an activation stage. According to both Chinese and Russian Intelligence Sources, the US and NATO plans include among other, the deliberate implosion of the US- and EU Economies, destroying the worlds financial systems, and the launching of a massive conventional war throughout North America, Africa and Asia, as well as the Middle East. The war plans include the release of biological warfare agents designed to kill millions if not billions of people. The NATO strategists rely on their ability to sue for peace when the coming conflict is at its highest, to call for the establishment of a "New World Order" under the pretext of preventing the destruction of the planet and civilization as we know it. - NSNBC by Dr. Christof Lehmann
Dominant Social Theme: The world is a dangerous place and the West has to be prepared to defend its citizens from terrorism - any place, any time.

Free-Market Analysis: Are we headed toward world war? Dr. Christoff Lehmann seems to think so. He comes with significant credentials, at least if his Internet bio is to be believed. And regardless of the credibility of Lehmann himself, the current global environment is poisonous and almost anything seems possible.
