Organizations urge Biden to halt 'reckless' rhetoric with Putin

Twenty-seven organizations, including a number of left-leaning groups, issued a statement on Tuesday urging President Biden to halt the use of "reckless" rhetoric with Russian President Vladimir Putin and instead conduct "constructive bilateral talks."

The organizations wrote in a statement obtained by The Hill:

"As national organizations that advocate for diplomacy, arms control, disarmament and peace, we are deeply alarmed by the recent negative exchanges between leaders of the two countries with more than 90 percent of the world's nuclear warheads in their arsenals. As Americans, we urge the Biden administration to stop participating in such reckless rhetorical exchanges and to instead vigorously pursue nuclear-arms negotiations with the Russian government."

Among the groups that signed on to the statement are Justice Democrats, Blue America, Demand Progress, Our Revolution and Progressive Democrats of America, all of which are left-leaning organizations.

The groups called on Biden to "make good on his stated commitment" from February that "diplomacy is back at the center of our foreign policy."

YouTube to remove 'dislike' feature as Biden WH content continues to see 'likes' massively trail 'dislikes'

As President Biden's White House YouTube channel continues to see videos' "dislikes" massively trump "likes," the video platform announced it is testing a new design that obscures a public dislike count.

The move was announced via Twitter on March 30th, with YouTube explaining "in response to creator feedback around well-being and targeted dislike campaigns, we're testing a few new designs that don't show the public dislike count." As a result, only the accounts publishing videos will be able to see the dislike to like ratio.

Comment: YouTube is in the business of 'perception management' - something they only negatively did for Trump:

Amid the online freakout, some commenters suggested that President Joe Biden might be happy to see dislikes disappear from YouTube. Since Biden took office in January, every single video posted by the White House has gotten more dislikes than likes. Oftentimes, videos of Biden speaking earn more than ten times as many thumbs down as thumbs up.

It is, of course, unclear if Biden's social media team provided the "creator feedback" that YouTube cited as reason for hiding dislikes. A significant number of dislikes on Biden's videos may come from disaffected Trump voters, but Trump himself never saw a like-dislike ratio quite like Biden's, despite the level of public opposition to his presidency.

Checking Trump's videos is now impossible, however. The former president was banned from YouTube in January.

On Saturday, IRNA reports, Iran and China signed a 25-year cooperation agreement. The signatures were affixed in Tehran by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi at a ceremony on the 50th anniversary of the establishment of modern diplomatic relations between Iran and China.

The deal is a slap in the face of the United States, which placed a financial and economic blockade on Iran when Washington abruptly breached the 2015 nuclear deal in May, 2018. The Trump administration threatened third-party sanctions in the billions of dollars on countries that so much as traded with Iran. The Biden administration has kept this invisible blockade in place, though President Biden has at least said he intends to restore the 2015 deal.

It may be that China expects Iran to reenter the world economy during the Biden administration, and has put down a marker on its investment in Iranian resources.

Ocasio-Cortez commented on the ongoing crisis at the border Tuesday on Instagram. Ocasio-Cortez came under public pressure in recent days to sound off on the issue under the Biden administration after being an outspoken critic of former President Donald Trump's immigration policies.

The New York Democrat avoided explicitly blaming the Biden administration for the crisis, instead asserting that climate change, imperialism, and trade created it.

"People don't want to have that conversation," she said, referring to the issues she raised. She went on to claim anyone who refers to a "surge" of illegal migrants is trying to distract from other issues and is using white supremacist talking points.

Comment: More AOC virtue-signaling. She has yet to offer any substantial solutions.

An FBI so corrupt it lets mass shooters rampage freely

While the FBI has been failing to stop terrorist attacks by known threats, it has conducted numerous political operations on behalf of Democrats. It's time to clean house.

The New York Times reported on March 27 that Syrian-born Colorado mass shooter Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa had been on the FBI's radar before he murdered 10 people in a grocery store.

"The suspect's identity was previously known to the F.B.I. because he was linked to another individual under investigation by the bureau, according to law enforcement officials," the Times says.

According to a police affidavit, six days before Alissa shot 10 people to death, he purchased a pistol. That would have required him to pass a federal background check also run by the FBI. It seems the FBI is not very good at this "stopping mass shooters" thing.

Comment: The FBI is just one of the many crucial and corrupted institutions that are under full control of the PTB. The agency is clearly being used to not only help impose more fear and control among the population - but also to destroy the political enemies of the Democrats and the Deep State.

White House health adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci declared Sunday that children either need to be vaccinated or must wear face masks if they want to play together.

"When the children go out into the community, you want them to continue to wear masks when they're interacting with groups or multiple households," Fauci proclaimed during an appearance on CBS News.

Fauci added that "children can clearly wind up getting infected" even if other kids they play with have been vaccinated against coronavirus.

The Biden administration is working with the private sector to develop a standardized way for Americans to prove their Covid-19 vaccination status, the Washington Post reported over the weekend. So-called 'vaccine passports' - which proponents argue should be required to travel, work and attend public events - have been bitterly opposed by Republicans and civil liberties advocates, with opponents describing them as a step toward "totalitarian communism" and comparing them to the yellow stars used to identify Jews in Nazi Germany.

Scarborough is furious. The MSNBC host opened 'Morning Joe' on Tuesday with a lengthy rant against these civil liberties advocates, calling them "idiots" and "morons," and pleading with the government and the private sector to introduce these vaccination papers.

For decades, America styled itself the 'indispensable nation' that led the world & it's now seeking to sustain that role by emphasizing a new Cold War-style battle against 'authoritarianism'. But it's a dangerous fantasy.

It seems a week cannot go by without US Secretary of State Antony Blinken bringing up the specter of the 'rules-based international order' as an excuse for meddling in the affairs of another state or region.

The most recent crisis revolves around allegations that China has dispatched a fleet of more than 200 ships, part of a so-called 'maritime militia', into waters of the South China Sea claimed by the Philippines. China says that these vessels are simply fishing boats seeking shelter from a storm. The Philippines has responded by dispatching military ships and aircraft to investigate. Enter Antony Blinken, stage right:

"The United States stands with our ally, the Philippines, in the face of the PRC's maritime militia amassing at WhitsunReef," Blinken tweeted. "We will always stand by our allies and stand up for the rules-based international order."

Blinken's message came a mere 18 hours after he tweeted about his meeting in Brussels with NATO. "Our alliances were created to defend shared values," he wrote. "Renewing our commitment requires reaffirming those values and the foundation of international relations we vow to protect: a free and open rules-based order."

UK lifts some Covid restrictions, but Johnson warns 'we must be cautious'

People are now allowed to meet in groups of up to six or as two households and outdoor team sports are reopening in a major easing of England's lockdown restrictions.

As the "stay at home" order ended at midnight, Boris Johnson stressed that "we must remain cautious", saying cases were rising across Europe and new variants were threatening the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.

From today in England:

Groups of up to six people - or two households - can socialise in parks and gardens
Football and cricket pitches, tennis and basketball courts, outdoor swimming pools can reopen
Golf courses and sailing clubs can reopen
Organised team sports can resume outdoors
People should still work from home if possible and minimise their journeys
The 'stay at home' order is being replace with a 'stay local' instruction

The prime minister said he hopes the return of outdoor activities will "kickstart a Great British summer of sport" and that "many will welcome the increased social contact".

Mr Johnson called for the public to participate in a fitness drive, with children recommended to aim for an hour of physical activity a day, and adults for at least 150 minutes.
