Arrest these insane NATO warmongers!

Incredibly, the world is being pushed to the abyss of nuclear war by nonentity Western numbskulls who are not even elected.

Jens Stoltenberg, the civilian head of the NATO military bloc, is the latest blockhead to advocate for the United States to permit the targeting of Russia with long-range weapons.

The Norwegian figurehead, we are led to believe, made the conceptual breakthrough (how much was he paid and by whom or what was the blackmail used?) by telling the Economist magazine that the Ukrainian regime should henceforth be officially allowed to use NATO missiles to hit Russia.

However, with the logical skills of a hacked-up chopping block, Stoltenberg claimed that such a move would not lead to an escalation in war between Russia and NATO because the weapons were not being fired from NATO countries.

So Stoltenberg thinks it's somehow feasible to turn Ukraine into a silo for launching ballistic missiles at Moscow and yet for Russia not to perceive NATO nations as a legitimate target?

As if to further reassure, he added: "We don't have any intention to send NATO ground troops into Ukraine because our purpose... has been two-fold, to support Ukraine as we do, but also to ensure that we don't escalate this into a full-scale conflict."

The barefaced cheek of Stoltenberg and other Western figures is that, in their arrogant mindsets, what's going on is not escalation because they say it is not escalation. It's like hitting someone with a punch in the face and then having the brass neck to tell the person you didn't hit them because you said so.

Ukraine releases first convicts to fill military ranks

Nearly 350 inmates have already been freed, while some 4,000 more applications are being considered by the courts, the country's justice minister has said.

Ukraine has already enlisted nearly 350 newly freed inmates in its military under a new program that provides parole in exchange for service, according to Ukrainian Justice Minister Denis Maliuska.

Speaking to the New York Times on Friday, the minister revealed that more than 4,300 prisoners have submitted applications to join the military and thus gain their freedom.

Most of the applications of those not yet released are currently being considered by courts, Maliuska stated, adding that the country expects to bolster the ranks of its military by up to 20,000 people through the scheme.

Comment: Ukrainian military shakeup in progress:
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced on Friday that it intends to "optimize" its operations and release up to 60% of its current personnel to forward commands and combat units.

The headquarters conducted an efficiency survey earlier this year and decided it should do more with fewer people, the Planning Directorate head, Evgeny Ostryansky, wrote on Telegram.
"The plan is to use the released personnel to replenish the command and control bodies at the operational and tactical levels, as well as combat units. This will also allow for the rotation of units carrying long-term combat missions on the front line."
Kiev's latest measure comes amid sweeping changes to mobilization rules aimed at raising enough combat troops to replenish losses in battle with Russia.

The age of conscription has been lowered to 25, most medical exemptions have been abolished, and the draft has been expanded to local and regional officials, previously exempt. Convicts have been promised parole if they enlist in the military. Ukrainians abroad have also been forced to register with the military if they want consular services, such as renewing passports and ID cards.

Russia's latest advance into Kharkov Region has forced Kiev to pull units from elsewhere to plug the gap. As a result, Russian forces have taken a series of towns previously held by Ukrainian troops, including all of the gains of Kiev's 2023 summer offensive, which were modest to begin with.

Israel continues Gaza attacks despite UN court order to 'immediately halt' Rafah offensive

Israel continued bombing in the Gaza Strip, including the city of Rafah, on May 25, one day after a top UN court ordered it to halt military operations against the southern city.

Israel gave no indication that the ruling by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) had affected its planning.

Echoing wording found in the ICJ ruling, Israeli National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi said:
"Israel has not and will not carry out military operations in the Rafah area that 'create living conditions that could cause the destruction of the Palestinian civilian population, in whole or in part."
Separately, following a meeting between U.S. and Israeli officials in Paris on May 25, an Israeli official said Tel Aviv was seeking to restart talks in the coming days in an effort to reach a hostage-release deal in Gaza.

"There is an intention to renew the talks this week and there is an agreement," the official told the AFP news agency on condition of anonymity.

Niger orders the U.S. military out and invites Russia in

The days of American domination are over, and the doors in Africa are wide open for alternative help from Russia and China.

Niger has demanded American troops to leave the country "no later" than 15 September, and the U.S. has agreed. The official statement said the two countries had "reached a disengagement agreement to effect the withdrawal of U.S. forces, which has already begun".

The U.S. had relied on Niger as its primary military base, but U.S. threats led to the rupture of military ties, according to Niger's Prime Minister Zeine, who blamed the U.S. for the breakdown in bilateral relations, culminating with the "Yankee Go Home" order.

In April, street demonstrators in Agadez, Niger demanded the withdrawal of U.S. troops.

A crucial military relationship between Washington and Niger, its closest West African ally, dissolved after a visiting U.S. official made threats during last-ditch negotiations over whether American troops based there would be allowed to remain, according to Zeine.

On March 17, Niger broke off military cooperation with the U.S., as military leaders move closer to Russia. A senior U.S. delegation left the country the day before, following an unsuccessful 3-day visit to renew contact with the military leaders that ousted the former president.

The government of Niger decided to "denounce with immediate effect" the agreement relating to U.S. military and civilian employees of the U.S. Department of Defense inside Niger, which operated a desert drone base built at a cost of US $100 million.

EU mulls sanctioning Israel if its refuses to comply with ICJ genocide-prevention ruling - as Tel Aviv continues bombing Rafah

Irish Foreign Minister Micheal Martin suggests country would support such an approach
The European Union is discussing sanctioning Israel if it refuses to comply with a ruling by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordering it to immediately halt its military campaign in the city of Rafah, local media reported Monday, citing Ireland's foreign minister.

During a meeting of the European Political Community, EU foreign ministers for the first time discussed the prospect of sanctions against Israel if it continued to disregard the court's order, said Michael Martin, according to public broadcaster RTE.

"Certainly, if compliance isn't forthcoming, then we have to consider all options," he said, adding that Ireland would support such an approach.

Comment: Le Monde reports today that Israel, unsurprisingly, continues its genocidal campaign in Rafah.

Comment: Well, considering the outcry from the Western public, as well as the multipolar alliance, the EU has to be seen as doing something - other than excusing, and even facilitating, the ongoing genocide - and which will likely amount to little more than 'discussing' sanctions: 'Holocaust': Israel launches 60 air raids on Rafah 48hrs after ICJ stop-order, incinerates tent-camp burning dozens of people alive

Best of the Web: Italian MEP's husband murdered by strangulation leads to questions of whether she was targeted for her 'pro' Russia and anti-lockdown views

Italian MEP Francesca Donato claims her husband was killed as authorities investigate the death of Angelo Onorato, found in his car by his wife and daughter on Saturday.

An Italian MEP claims her husband was murdered as authorities continue to investigate the death of Angelo Onorato, an architect whose body was found on the side of a road on the outskirts of Palermo on Saturday.

After Francesca Donato couldn't reach her partner, she located Onorato's Land Rover near the highway connecting Palermo and Mazara del Vallo using his iPhone's GPS.

Comment: It remains to be seen just exactly what the motive was, because, with regards to his wife's views, there are a few other MEPs and MPs who've called out the contrived coronavirus crisis. However it's worth highlighting that Donato was also critical of lethal aid for Ukraine, and seemingly wanted good relations with Russia (see the footage below where she calls out the 'propaganda against Putin and Russian politics').

Mr Onorato's murder is also notable in light of the assassination attempts, threats, and coup attempts against leaders and countries that occurred in just the last few weeks, and because most of these targets posed a threat to the Western establishment in one way or another:

Israeli media reported on 27 May that Israeli forces killed at least one Egyptian soldier in an exchange of fire at the Rafah border crossing in Gaza.

Channel 14 reported that Egyptian security forces "fired on an Israeli truck at the Rafah crossing" and indicated that Israeli army soldiers "responded to this with gunfire."

Maariv reported one Egyptian soldier was killed in the exchange before contact was made with the Egyptians to cease fire.

Hungary blocks EU plan to give stolen Russian money to Ukraine

Budapest is obstructing the bloc's efforts to militarily support Kiev, the paper's sources claim

Hungary has blocked legislation that would allow the EU hand over profits earned on frozen Russian assets to Ukraine, the Financial Times reported on Saturday, citing sources.

The West froze around $300 billion in Russian sovereign assets when the Ukraine conflict escalated, trapping around $280 billion in the EU. While the bloc stopped short of confiscating the assets outright due to legal concerns, earlier this week it approved the use of interest generated from the assets to provide military aid to Kiev. The annual revenue is estimated to be around $3 billion.

The Fed's "Doomsday Book" has been revealed

big book
© Unknown
Back in 2011, shareholders of insurance giant American International Group (AIG) filed a $40 billion class action lawsuit against the US government over the terms of its controversial bailout of AIG during the 2008 financial crisis.

In 2014, the trial case came to focus on an intriguing oddity. In cross-examination, the plaintiffs learned of a set of documents that the New York Fed — the heart of America's Federal Reserve central bank and the primary wheeler-dealer in the chaotic days of the global financial collapse — dramatically refers to as its "Doomsday Book."

This book, it was discovered, contained the various legal opinions and memoranda that the Fed used to determine what power it has to manipulate the financial system in the event of a large-scale crisis. And, it seemed, there was a good chance that the central bank broke its own rules with all its bailout shenanigans and financial sleight-of-hand during the 2008 collapse.

However, the plaintiffs' reasonable request to see the book and examine these supposed emergency powers was immediately rebuffed by the Fed. New York Fed lawyer John S. Kiernan, for example, was adamant that the Fed would not open up the book for the court. He told the United States Court of Federal Claims:
"Of the tens of thousands of documents that we have produced in this case, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York has sought to retain confidentiality because of the internal sensitivity of only this one."
The court was eventually able to pry the relevant documents out of the Fed's clutches, but the Doomsday Book has remained under court seal for years . . . until now.

Late last year, an enterprising researcher managed to get his hands on a copy of the elusive book. And what that book contains should shock you (if you're paying attention).

Trump vows to stop 'Biden's march to WWIII'

The presumptive Republican nominee pledges to end US involvement in "other people's wars".

Former US President Donald Trump has reiterated his promise to swiftly end the Russia-Ukraine conflict if re-elected in November. The Republican frontrunner argued that by financing "other people's wars" the US is increasing the likelihood of a global war, and promised to end such funding.

Speaking at the Libertarian Party's national convention in Washington DC on Saturday, Trump claimed that under the current leadership, the US is turning into a "failed nation" and promised to restore "peace and stability" if he returns to the White House.

He named the main priorities as ending the border crisis, stopping the waste of US taxpayer dollars on funding foreign militaries, and protecting "American sovereignty from the creeping hands of global government."

Trump told the cheering crowd:
"We will say freedom, prosperity, and capitalism in America. And before I even arrive at the Oval Office shortly after we win the presidency, I will have the horrible war between Russia and Ukraine settled so we quit spending hundreds of billions of dollars to fight other people's wars and so that we start immediately saving thousands and sounds of lives.

"I am committed to restoring peace and stability and to stopping Joe Biden's march to World War Three."
