WHO Pandemic Treaty will give it power to declare pandemics, lockdowns and vaccine mandates with force of law

The World Health Organisation's (WHO) proposed Pandemic Treaty and amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHR) will hand the international health body unprecedented powers to declare pandemics, lockdowns and vaccination mandates, with the force of international law, leading experts have told MPs.

Speaking to U.K. lawmakers at a meeting of the Pandemic Response and Recovery All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG), Dr. David Bell, a former WHO scientific and medical officer, and Professor Garrett Wallace Brown, Chair in Global Health Policy at the University of Leeds and Director of the World Health Organisation Collaborative Centre on Health Systems and Health Security, said that the changes would fundamentally alter the relationship between WHO and member states and put vital health programmes at risk.

Dr. Bell explained that the two agreements, as currently drafted, will hand the WHO the authority to order measures including significant financial contributions by individual states, censorship of scientific debate, lockdowns, travel restrictions, forced medical examinations and mandatory vaccinations during a public health emergency of its own declaring.

False witnesses and sinister plots: Exposing the CIA connection in the 'Chinese police station' narrative

For months, mainstream media across the Western world - in particular English-language outlets based in the constituent members of the 'Five Eyes' global spying network - have been rabidly awash with terrifying news of secret "Chinese police stations" operating the world over.

It is claimed these "stations" are unofficial, covert Chinese Communist Party (CPC) security and intelligence cells concealed in private businesses run by Chinese émigrés, such as restaurants. From behind benign facades, they surveil and harass pro-democracy ex-pats, among other nefarious activities.

By contrast, Beijing denies their existence, claiming purported examples to merely be anodyne initiatives constructed by regional public security bureaus during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are primarily said to offer Chinese citizens overseas administrative services, such as driving license renewal.

These denials have fallen on deaf ears, and the narrative of dastardly Communists operating cloak-and-dagger foreign spy bases in order to egregiously extend China's authoritarian tendrils overseas has ever-gained in currency. In April, the FBI pounced upon a "Chinese police station" in Lower Manhattan, New York, based in the offices of a charitable organization established in 1998 to assist Chinese nationals from Changle, Fujian, a region of southeast China.

IAEA debunks Ukrainian claim about Europe's largest nuclear plant

There are no mines at the cooling pond of the Zaporozhye NPP, the UN watchdog has said...

Rafael Mariano Grossi, the director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), denied on Tuesday claims made by the Ukrainian government that the cooling pond of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) had been rigged with explosives.

"The IAEA is aware of reports of mines having been placed near the cooling pond. No mines were observed at the site during the Director General's visit, including the cooling pond," Grossi said in a report on the situation at Europe's largest atomic power facility.

There were mines outside the perimeter and "at particular places inside," which the security personnel at ZNPP explained were for defensive purposes, the IAEA head said.

"Our assessment of those particular placements was that while the presence of any explosive device is not in line with safety standards, the main safety functions of the facility would not be significantly affected," added Grossi.

His report comes after claims by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and his aide Mikhail Podoliak that Russia had prepared a "terrorist attack" on the facility it has controlled since March 2022.

Comment: Crying wolf, Zelensky's fragmentation is showing.

Pandemic leaders were biodefense puppets and profiteers

Scandalous incompetence. Profound stupidity. Astounding errors. This is how many analysts - including Dr. Vinay Prasad, Dr. Scott Atlas, and popular Substack commentator eugyppius - explain how leading public health experts could prescribe so many terrible pandemic response policies.

And it's true: the so-called experts certainly have made themselves look foolish over the last three years: Public health leaders like Rochelle Walensky and Anthony Fauci make false claims, or contradict themselves repeatedly, on subjects related to the pandemic response, while leading scientists, like Peter Hotez in the US and Christian Drosten in Germany, are equally susceptible to such flip-flops and lies. Then there are the internationally renowned medical researchers, like Eric Topol, who repeatedly commit obvious errors in interpreting Covid-related research studies. [ref]

All of these figures publicly and aggressively promoted anti-public health policies, including universal masking, social distancing, mass testing and quarantining of healthy people, lockdowns and vaccine mandates.

It seems like an open-and-shut case: Dumb policies, dumb people in charge of those policies.

This might be true in a few individual cases of public health or medical leaders who really are incapable of understanding even high school level science. However, if we look at leading pandemic public health and medical experts as a group - a group consisting of the most powerful, widely published, and well-paid researchers and scientists in the world - that simple explanation sounds much less convincing.

Comment: Perception qualifiers and revised explanations do not negate this heinous crime upon humanity, nor alter its ongoing deadly results.

Lukashenko may take part in future peace talks - top Ukrainian official

A group of "real" negotiators already exists in Russia, Kiev's head of national security has claimed...

The head of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, Aleksey Danilov, has speculated that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko may take part in future peace talks between Moscow and Kiev.

Danilov took to Facebook on Sunday to share his assessment of the short-lived insurrection of Wagner Group PMC in Russia. His statement contrasted with the reactions of officials in Kiev while the tension was rising, with Danilov claiming the affair was only the "first stage" of the purportedly upcoming downfall of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Danilov also claimed that Russian elites were in disarray, with multiple unspecified military and security officials growing weary of the Kremlin's policies. The security chief implied these are the "real" negotiators to speak with Ukraine in the future, adding that the Belarusian president may also take part in this process. Previously, Ukrainian authorities had explicitly prohibited themselves from ever negotiating with Russia with Vladimir Putin in power.

"There is already a real group of future Russian negotiators [to negotiate] with Ukraine, but for now it remains in the shadows. Lukashenko's participation in this process is not ruled out," Danilov wrote.

Two Russian armed forces Su-27 fighter jets escorted an RC-135 electronic reconnaissance aircraft and two Typhoon fighter jets of Britain's Royal Air Force over the Black Sea, the Russian ministry of defense said on Monday.

"Russian airspace control over the Black Sea waters detected three aerial targets approaching the state border of Russia. To identify the targets and prevent a violation of the state border, a pair of Su-27 fighters from the air defenses forces [were scrambled]," the ministry said as cited by state news agency TASS.

The Su-27 fighter jets identified the targets as an RC-135 electronic intelligence and electronic warfare aircraft and two British Air Force Typhoon fighters.

Best of the Web: The real casualties of Russia's 'civil war'? The Beltway "expert" class

Numerous serious casualties were incurred during Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin's supposed "coup." The Grayzone offers an in-depth look at the massacre carried out by some of America's top Russia experts against their own credibility.

When Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin launched a supposed revolt against Russian President Vladimir Putin on June 23, sending his forces on a march toward Moscow following a series of tirades against the country's defense establishment, Washington's expert class overflowed with an orgy of regime change fantasies.

For just over 12 hours, everyone from former US ambassador to Russia and noted Hitler apologist Michael McFaul to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to neocon pundit Anne Applebaum exploded with seemingly libidinal excitement about a supposed "civil war" that was certain to feature "Russians...killing Russians," along with "lots of casualties" and Putin "probably hiding somewhere."

Preparing for a false flag? Why are NATO ISR and heavy weapons in South Ukraine nuclear power plant?

South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant
Amid numerous disturbing reports about possible false flag operations involving nuclear devices and weapons, the Kiev regime seems to be escalating its actions in this regard. According to various local sources, the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), located in the city of Yuzhnoukrainsk in the Nikolayev region (oblast), has been effectively taken over by the Neo-Nazi junta forces. Although troops have been stationed in and around the NPP since the start of the special military operation (SMO), in recent weeks this has escalated. Apparently, mysterious "guards" have appeared at the NPP and have even restricted access to the reactor facilities, including to the staff responsible for the critically important maintenance of the reactor and the NPP's key systems and subsystems.

Worse yet, the "guards" are offering no explanation for their behavior, nor does anyone else, be it the military or civilian authorities. In essence, nobody really knows for sure, but many people are skeptical (to say the least). The "guards" have even placed what can only be described as ammunition crates inside the NPP. And it doesn't seem to be small arms ammunition, but something much bigger, such as shells or even rockets, all of which have foreign markings. For over a year, there have been numerous reports about the Kiev regime hiding NATO-sourced weapons there, obviously in an attempt to prevent their destruction. Needless to say, having any sort of weapons at a nuclear facility of any kind is suicidal in and of itself, but having shells and rockets stored there is simply criminal.

Prigozhin's not so excellent expedition and its implications

Yevgeny Prigozhin russia wagners
© RIA NewsBusinessman Yevgeny Prigozhin tours the Soledar salt mines with fighters of the Wagner Group PMC.
In January of this year I noted that the hardline patriotic, state nationalist wing in Russia was being strengthened by the NATO-Russia Ukrainian war:
The Kremlin 'tower' of hardliners (party of war) could be strengthened by the extent to which the first phase of the war from the initial invasion up to mobilization and the new, apparent 'full war' strategy is seen as a failure and the result of influence of the 'party of compromise' on Putin. Winners will be Nikolai Patrushev, his sons, the 'private' military company Wagner's Yevgenii Prigozhin, among others. At this point it is difficult to discern evidence of the war party's strengthening, since Patrushev and his sons as well as Prigozhin were on the rise around Putin before February 2022, with Patrushev becoming the Kremlin's chief ideologist and Prigozhin an increasingly powerful Russian actor abroad and at home. With Russia's full turn away from the West and the war necessitating a harsher line at home and abroad, the consolidation of hardliners' power is complete and the influence of Patrushev and Prigozhin each is growing.
Writing about the present moment as of May 2022, I proposed that there was no imminent or even mid-term threat of a regime split and revolt or revolution against the regime of Russian President Vladimir Putin but if a threat was to emerge in future it would come from the nationalist, ultra-patriotic wing not from Russian liberals or society at-large. That is, there will be no pro-republican liberal uprising against the war or the regime, but a revolt, coup, or even a revolution from above waged by state-nationalist (not ethno-nationalist) hardliners would be eminently possible - not necessarily probable or inevitable - in the longer term, if Russia is perceived as having lost or to be losing an already long, costly war. I wrote:
The possibility of a move by hardliners against the Putin's balance of power between hardline siloviki and regime liberal economic and financial officials or even against Putin himself is the most likely of the three possible, though still highly unlikely scenarios.
Recent events involving Wagner chief Prigozhin cause me to reaffirm the views above.

US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby and White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre sparred with reporters on Friday over allegations that President Joe Biden and his son Hunter took part in a scheme to pressure a Chinese businessman.

During a White House press conference, Newsmax reporter James Rosen read the entirety of a 2017 text message purportedly sent by Hunter Biden to Henry Zhao, a Chinese government official and businessman with whom the president's son was negotiating a business deal.
