After months-long surveillance, Türkiye's National Intelligence Organization (MIT) has exposed a "ghost" cell of 56 operatives spying on non-Turkish nationals in the country on behalf of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad.

In a collaborative operation with the Anti-Terrorism Branch of the Istanbul Police Department, the agency's counterintelligence unit apprehended seven people who all confessed to working for Mossad in their testimonies, according to information gathered by the Sabah newspaper.

According to MIT, the seven suspects are among the 56 operatives linked to a total of nine networks, which are each overseen by nine Mossad agents based in Tel Aviv and have the ability to operate on an international scale.

Documents from MIT revealed that the spies were gathering biographical intelligence on foreign nationals through an online routing method, tracking vehicle movements via GPS, hacking into password-protected networks based on Wi-Fi devices and finding private locations.

UK: Banks told to uphold free speech after blacklisting customers holding certain views

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt banks close accounts farage

Banks are to be told by the Treasury that they must protect free speech amid an escalating row over the blacklisting of customers who hold controversial views.

Jeremy Hunt, the Chancellor, is understood to be "deeply concerned" that overzealous lenders are closing down accounts because they disagree with customers' opinions and has asked City minister Andrew Griffith to investigate the issue.

Whitehall sources said that results of a consultation on the subject will be published within weeks, after it was launched earlier this year in the wake of PayPal blocking the accounts of free speech groups.

The controversy flared up again last week after the leading Brexiteer Nigel Farage revealed his account had been closed by his bank. A vicar was also dropped as a customer after criticising his lender's stance on LBGTQ+.

Israel to buy new fleet of F-35 fighter jets financed by US aid

Israel will buy its third fleet of F-35 stealth fighter jets in a deal worth $3bn that will be financed through US military aid, according to the Israeli military.

Israel's Ministry of Defence approved the purchase on Sunday, with the additional 25 aircraft manufactured by Lockheed Martin to bring the number of F-35 jets in Israel's air force to 75.

"This new agreement will ensure the continuation of cooperation between American companies and Israeli defence industries in the production of aircraft parts," the ministry said in a statement.

Comment: Meanwhile infrastructure in the US literally falling apart. Further, the West's proxy war against Russia in Ukraine, as well as its provocations against China, have exposed the US as a rapidly failing hegemon, and stocking its airbase in the Middle East (aka Israel) with the latest equipment is unlikely to turn the tide:

The Prigozhin convoy: 'Everything changes; everything remains the same'

Lukas/Put
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin
This is huge. It is not just that the Prigozhin insurrection was 'taken seriously' by the West. It was its' 'last Hail Mary' in respect to Russia...

"Everything must change for everything to remain the same", is the famous quotation pronounced by Tancredi, Prince Salina's nephew, in the Sicilian novel The Leopard.

In Russia - like Sicily - everything has changed; at least, thus say the Western commentators. 'Systemic cracks in Moscow have opened', yet everything in Russia remains the same.

Prigozhin moves to Belarus to build a Wagner off-shoot that can defend the Belarus southern border, and position itself adjacent to Kiev; the Wagner cadre is absolved of mutiny and, with a tweak to its legal status, largely continues 'business as usual'.

Whilst Putin roundly condemned the "mutiny plotters" as people full of 'malignity and evil intentions', he did not identify these plotters with "the majority of Wagner Group soldiers and commanders" -- who Putin insisted, "are also Russian patriots, loyal to their people and their state".

Putin was, however, less generous, when treating the "the enemies of Russia - the neo-Nazis in Kiev, their Western patrons and other national traitors" who would have benefitted, had the coup succeeded: "They miscalculated" (implying clearly, they had 'calculated' aforehand.)

World Economic Forum partners with official CCP Central Propaganda Network for 'Summer Davos' conference

At WEF China confab, the Party line is enforced even further.

During this week's "Summer Davos" conference in Tianjin, China, The World Economic Forum (WEF) quietly partnered on multiple discussion forums with the China Central Television Network, a state media operation that reports directly to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s Central Propaganda Department.

Over the course of this week, WEF panelists (including World Economic Forum leader Klaus Schwab) have been lavishing praise upon the Chinese government for its ruthless lockdowns in Wuhan, in addition to its authoritarian financial censorship policies and its infamous Social Credit Score system.

Similar to the annual WEF confab in Davos, any dissent from the prevailing narratives is forbidden, and debate is a cancel-worthy sin. Davos acts as a reinforced ruling class echo chamber in which there is one problem, one objective, and only one solution. Regardless of who populates these panels and speeches, whether it's invited corporate media, governmental officials, and/or business executives, there's never any dissent or difference of opinion expressed.

A Schwab prophecy come true? Atlanta Airport employs digital facial recognition IDs

World Economic Forum founder and executive director Klaus Schwab heaped praise on the Chinese Communist Party this week for adopting "new COVID control measures" while boosting "social dynamism" at the WEF's Annual Meeting of the New Champions.

We will break down in this article what Schwab means by "social dynamism." This is important, why? Because Schwab, a globalist, a futurist and a transhumanist, holds immense sway over many of our Western politicians in Canada, the U.S., Australia, etc., at both the state and federal levels.

Heads of state and governors of all political stripes, from Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan to Republican Gov. Brian Kemp of Georgia, flock to his meetings in Davos each year. Kemp told the corporate media he was going to Davos in January 2023 to "sell Georgia." He no sooner returned and we found out that Georgia became one of the first handful of states to launch a new drivers' license with biometric digital identities using facial recognition software. This means a QR Code containing personal biometric data, recognizable instantly when your facial features get scanned at ports of call worldwide, will be assigned to every citizen who signs up for this new digital ID.

The real reason for surging inflation has finally been acknowledged

MMballoon

Initially dismissed as a conspiracy theory, 'greedflation' is now accepted by mainstream economists...

For the past several years coinciding with the start of the Covid-19 pandemic and its ensuing economic aftershock, much of the world has been rattled by inflation. Economists and commentators alike have gone into the gutter to discuss what exactly is causing this phenomenon that is chipping away at real wages for average working people.

One of the theories put forward by people in favor of more guardrails on profiteering has been that corporate profits have skyrocketed since the pandemic and that the state should intervene. Many mainstream economists and media commentators have dismissed this as a baseless conspiracy theory.

In December 2021, Isabella Weber, an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, argued in a column for The Guardian for "strategic price controls" not unlike those implemented by the US government during World War II. She blamed the spiraling inflation on "large corporations with market power" that "have used supply problems as an opportunity to increase prices and scoop windfall profits."

Ex-Zelensky aide blames West for counteroffensive failures

The West has failed to supply Ukraine with the weaponry required to achieve significant progress in its counteroffensive, a former adviser to President Vladimir Zelensky said on Saturday.

Speaking to Russian activist Mark Feygin, Aleksey Arestovich issued a stark rebuke of Kiev's Western backers, warning that delays in arms shipments allow Russia to win time to enhance its military capabilities. He added that he has "a lot of questions for our beloved allies."
"Why did you [Americans] prepare the counteroffensive in such a way and given such amount of weapons?... Maybe you were shepherding us towards negotiations from the very beginning?"
Another grievance is delayed shipments of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, Arestovich said.
"If F-16s are basically approved, with pilot training already underway, why will they arrive in October or November, or even... in 2024, and why were they not provided in May before the decisive counteroffensive?"

'Neoliberalism biggest threat to the world' - Syria's first lady

Asma Assad
Asma Assad
The first lady of Syria, Asma Assad, visited Moscow this week, as her eldest son, Hafez, graduated from Moscow State University (MSU). Hafez received a master's degree with honors from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, with Asma attending the ceremony.

During her visit, the first lady appeared on RT Arabic's Newsmaker program, speaking about cultural exchange issues, close ties between Syria and Russia, as well as challenges the two counties face.

The two nations have been facing similar problems for decades already, both subjected to mounting foreign pressure, as well as open attempts of economic blockade and efforts to "establish control over them," she said:
"However, a universal and a large-scale challenge for the whole world is the threat of Neoliberalism, which is being imposed on all peoples. The main purpose of this, of course, is to blur not only national identity, but very human identity, as well as all its constituent elements, such as patriotism, traditions and customs."
The traditional values, furthermost, are preserved within the family, which should become the pillar for "dialogue between the youth of the whole world," Syria's first lady believes.
"That is specifically the case for our Eastern societies, since it is those societies that are directly threatened and, at the same time, are most capable to withstand this attack due to the culture, morality and values that they have."

International Energy Agency warns of higher bills and blackouts this winter

Fatih Birol
© Anadolu Agency/GettyFatih Birol said European governments had made strategic mistakes, including an overreliance on Russia for energy.
The head of the International Energy Agency has warned that energy prices may spike again this winter, forcing government to subsidise bills - just days after state support for UK households fell away.

Fatih Birol said a rapid improvement in the Chinese economy, coupled with a harsh winter, could put pressure on gas supplies and push up bills for consumers.

He said the agency "cannot rule out" another spike in gas prices this winter, which would mirror last year when a surge in wholesale costs as a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine fed through to huge consumer bills.

Comment: Note: The West sanctioned itself out of significant sectors of the energy market, and it blew up Nord Stream.

"In a scenario where the Chinese economy is very strong, buys a lot of energy from the markets, and we have a harsh winter, we may see strong upward pressure under natural gas prices, which in turn will put an extra burden on consumers," Birol told BBC Radio 4's Today programme.

Comment: Similar threats were made last year but a relatively mild winter, stockpiles, and continued supplies from Russia caused some disruption but the West averted outright disaster, however they might not be quite so lucky this winter. Meanwhile experts in the US have been warning a breakdown in supplies could happen as early as this summer: US facing rolling blackouts this summer, energy corporation warns
