Secret Service REFUSED to interview any of 500 suspects in White House cocaine scandal, claiming it was a waste of public resources and infringed civil rights

The Secret Service announced this week that the agency has finished its investigation into the mysterious baggie of cocaine that was found in the White House earlier this month with finding the culprit.

The agency said that the case was closed due to a lack of forensic evidence coupled with the fact that the class A drug was found an area in which around 500 people passed through at the time it was believed to have been discarded.

It was determined by the agency that because the cocaine amounted to around 0.007 ounces, meaning it would only be a misdemeanor offense in the District of Columbia, it would be a waste of public resources to interview 500 people.

Secret Service spokesman Anthony Gugliemi told NBC News that conducting such a vast amount of interviews may also infringe on civil rights and that without physical evidence, a confession would likely be necessary.

'Yes, you could have a consensual interview. But we have no evidence to approach them,' Gugliemi said.

Who supplies the arms calls the shots: Ukraine's top general chafes under US restrictions

General Valery Zaluzhny is unhappy those who pay his army's bills get to set the rules of engagement

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Valery Zaluzhny told the Washington Post in an interview published on Friday that US has restricted his country's use of long-range missiles and forced his army to improvise in order to attack Russia.

"To save my people, why do I have to ask someone for permission what to do on enemy territory?" Zaluzhny is quoted as telling the Post, in what was described as a rare interview, complaining about what the outlet called "figurative Western handcuffs on his military operations."

"For some reason, I have to think that I'm not allowed to do anything there. Why? Because [Russian President Vladimir] Putin will... use nuclear weapons? The kids who are dying don't care," the general is quoted as saying.

Comment: Where does Zaluzhny think all those weapons are going the come from? The arms fairy? Russia has efficiently emptied the West of all the military stock they are willing to give up. Gotta save the good stuff for the war planned with China, don'cha know? In the Neocon calculus, Ukraine is a side show to keep Russia busy and maybe weaken them.

Hunter Biden lawyer whines that Trump posts are 'putting family in danger' - sends 'cease and desist' letter

An attorney for embattled first son Hunter Biden sent a cease and desist letter to former President Donald Trump's legal team claiming Trump's posts on social media could lead someone to injure the first son or his family, according to a report.

One of Hunter Biden's lawyers, Abbe Lowell, cited Trump's tweets leading up to the deadly Jan. 6 Capitol Hill riots in 2021 as evidence of the 45th president inspiring violence, according to the letter, obtained by ABC News.

The attorney additionally noted the hammer attack on former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's husband Paul at their home in October, and last month's arrest of a man found with a slew of weapons and ammunition near former President Barack Obama's D.C. home.

"This is not a false alarm," Lowell wrote. "We are just one such social media message away from another incident, and you should make clear to Mr. Trump — if you have not done so already — that Mr. Trump's words have caused harm in the past and threaten to do so again if he does not stop."

Comment: The Gateway Pundit adds:
Lowell absurdly claimed Trump's words incite violence and used the recent arrest of a Jan 6r near Obama's DC neighborhood as an example.

Federal prosecutors said a January 6 defendant recently went to Obama's DC neighborhood after Trump posted the former president's alleged address to Truth Social.

Obama's address is publicly available.

But the prosecutors just wanted to blame Trump.

Lowell said Hunter Biden is in danger of coming under a Paul Pelosi type of attack.

ABC News reported:
An attorney for Hunter Biden sent a cease-and-desist letter on Thursday to former President Donald Trump's legal team, claiming that Trump's rhetoric on social media and elsewhere "could lead to [Hunter Biden's] or his family's injury."

Abbe Lowell, one of the younger Biden's lawyers, cited past examples when Trump's language allegedly inspired violence, notably the Jan. 6 attacks on the Capitol, the October attack on Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband Paul Pelosi, and the man arrested near the Obamas' Washington, D.C., residence last month with an arsenal of firearms.

"This is not a false alarm," Lowell wrote. "We are just one such social media message away from another incident, and you should make clear to Mr. Trump — if you have not done so already — that Mr. Trump's words have caused harm in the past and threaten to do so again if he does not stop."

"You know, if Mr. Trump does not, that Mr. Biden has neither committed nor been accused of the charges that your client is claiming ... and that the Biden family was not at the White House (let alone in the vestibule) in the period when the cocaine was found," Lowell wrote.

Lowell wrote that Trump's team "need not respond," but encouraged them to convey to the former president "how his incitement can further hurt people and cause himself even more legal trouble."

New York Times reports 20% of Ukrainian weapons have been destroyed in just two weeks

western tanks destroyed ukraine
Putin has remarked that Ukrainian troops are reluctant to make use of the heavy equipment supplied by Western backers as they are a priority target for Russian forces
Kiev's Western-supplied tanks and armored vehicles "all burned," one soldier told the newspaper

The Ukrainian military lost 20% of the equipment it sent to the battlefield during the first two weeks of its counteroffensive, the New York Times reported on Saturday. This high attrition rate was reportedly a key factor in Kiev's decision to pause the operation.

Beginning in early June, Ukrainian forces launched a series of attacks all along the front line from Kherson to Donetsk. Advancing through minefields and without air support, the Ukrainian military lost 26,000 men and more than 3,000 pieces of military hardware, according to the latest figures from the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Ukrainian losses were at their highest during the initial two weeks of the offensive, the New York Times claimed, citing unnamed American and European officials. These officials said that up to 20% of Ukraine's tanks and armored vehicles were destroyed in this period, including many Western-provided vehicles.

Comment: If these number are what the Times is reporting, it's a nearly sure bet the real numbers are much worse.

Russian parliament bans gender reassignment surgery for trans people

Russia's lower house of parliament has passed a new law banning gender reassignment surgery, in the latest attack on LGBT rights in the country.

The State Duma approved the bill, which will also ban people changing their genders on state documents, on Friday.

It now needs approval from the upper house and President Vladimir Putin, moves normally seen as formalities.

Comment: It's hardly surprising to see Western outlets portraying this as an 'attack' on human rights, 'denial of medical care' and 'designating people as the enemy,' but all of this is hyperbolic. If people wishing to change their gender are seen for what they are, people with psychological issues, what the Russian government is doing is seen as protecting the populace from a dangerous social contagion.

FREUDIAN SLIP? Kamala argues for REDUCING POPULATION in creepy climate change speech

kamala harris Coppin State University
Vice President Kamala Harris further tarnished her image this week. During a speech on climate change at Coppin State University in Baltimore, Maryland, Harris appeared to call for a reduction in population as a means to achieve cleaner air and drinking water.

Kamala stated, "When we invest in clean energy and electric vehicles and reduce population, more of our children can breathe clean air and drink clean water." The Vice President's comment, made in the context of discussing the Inflation Reduction Act, immediately raised eyebrows due to its alarming implications.

Mike Pence squirms as Tucker Carlson dismantles Neocon talking points on Ukraine

tucker carlson mike pence
Tucker Carlson utterly dismantled the necon talking points of Trump's former Vice President Mike Pence, during an on-stage interview before a large audience of the FAMiLY Leadership Summit in Iowa on Friday.

Rather than respond to Carlson's criticisms about why tens of billions of taxpayer dollars are being spent on far-away Ukraine (which Carlson note is a country "most people can't find on a map") rather than focusing on protecting and restoring American cities in decline, a visibly irritated Pence instead vaguely said he could "do both". Watch Pence squirm below, as the crowd loudly cheered Carlson's question...

Macron booed during Bastille Day parade

macron boo
President Emmanuel Macron was roundly booed while waving to the crowds during today's Bastille Day celebrations
France is burning under President Emmanuel Macron.

On Friday, as he drove through the Champs-Elysées in the Bastille Day parade, representatives of the "yellow vests" protest movement expressed their dissatisfaction with his failed leadership and booed him mercilessly as the crowd chanted, "Macron, go away!"

France has faced months of unrest under Macron.

Comment: The Yellow Vest protests began back in 2018, and had the backing of well over half of the country.

After the officer-involved death of a 17-year-old driver, riots left 1,000 buildings burnt, 5,600 vehicles destroyed, and 3,300 arrests across France.

Earlier in the year, massive protests have plagued the country including the annual May Day rally in support of workers' rights.

Comment: Tellingly, it has become a increasing occurrence where leaders and heads of state in the West find themself the subject of derision, boos, as well as being pelted with eggs, and even the odd slap: Meanwhile in Russia: Russians confidence in Putin surpasses 80% in latest poll

Biden nibbles on frightened young girl during trip to Finland, grossing out Twitter users

President Biden appeared to nibble at the shoulder of a startled little girl during his departure from Helsinki on Thursday.

A video of the incident, which took place as the president greeted embassy staff members and their families before he boarded Air Force One at Helsinki-Vantaan International Airport, shows Biden leaning into a young girl and placing his mouth on her shoulder as he nibbled lightly.

Comment: There is no "appeared to". That's exactly what he was doing. Didn't look all that 'lightly' either...

The little girl — who appeared frightened during the experience — later turned her head when Biden, who will turn 81 in November, tried to give her a peck on the head.

Footage from the incident quickly made the rounds on social media, where several users blasted the president for his peculiar conduct.

"This has got to be Biden's creepiest moment yet with a child," Caleb Hull, a conservative operative, said of the footage. "All Biden has to do is not do this and he can't," he added in a separate tweet.

Republican operative Greg Price joked that Biden is "now confusing babies with ice cream cones."

Responding to the footage in a tweet, Donald Trump Jr. wrote, "Biden should be in a nursing home, not leading the free world."
