We bring to the consideration of readers an important video interview.

Unnamed sources in the Kiev government have leaked the Junta's intent to use chemical weapons against the people of Donbass.

The last time "Strelkov" warned about a similar occurrence, a few days later Kiev forces attacked a chemical plant.

Fortunately, the missiles and rockets which were fired by Kiev forces missed their target.

Had they succeeded, this would have resulted in countless deaths.

Beheaded journalist Sotloff had info rebels used chemical weapons and believed being kidnapped by Al-Qaeda would earn their trust

Journalist Steven Sotloff who was kidnapped and beheaded by ISIS believed the Syrian rebels possessed and possibly used chemical weapons on Aleppo and wanted to report it leaked conversations show. American foreign fighter Matthew Vandyke who fought along side the Libyan insurgency and also went to Syria on a pro-Syrian rebel mission, revealed to Sotloff that he had information that Syrian rebels posed chemical weapons before they were used in Aleppo.

In another conversation Sotloff told Vandyke that he believed being kidnapped by Al-Qaeda group Jabhat al-Nusra would be a way to earn their trust. Vandyke agreed claiming some of the best connections he made with Al-Qaeda groups were after being 'arrested'. In another conversation Vandyke was very eager to meet with the Al-Qaeda group Jabhat al-Nusra and network with them.

The conversations where leaked by the Syrian Electronic Army (SEA) who hacked Vandyke's email and Facebook account. A zip file of several hundreds of conversations can be downloaded here. Vandyke has confirmed that his Facebook account and email were hacked by the SEA as well as stating that his comments about rebel chemical weapons were true, and other individuals have also authenticated that the leaked conversations are real and accurate.

In October 1962, the United States threatened to go to war with Russia over the Cuban missile crisis. That high-stakes drama came about after Washington learned that Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev had overseen the installation of ballistic missiles on the Caribbean island, some 90 miles from the US mainland.

Never mind that the nascent military alliance between Moscow and the socialist government of Fidel Castro was an inviolable matter between two sovereign states - Washington was apoplectic that Soviet missiles were permitted anywhere near its territory. The then US President John F Kennedy was impelled to go to war over the issue, even if that meant igniting an all-out thermonuclear conflagration.

A US Navy destroyer and, reportedly, a French frigate have entered the Black Sea, as NATO builds up its presence in the region while tensions remain high in Ukraine. Another two warships are expected to arrive in the area by the end of the week.

The US Navy 6th Fleet official command has confirmed on its official Twitter account that the destroyer USS Ross, (DDG 71), an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, is now in the Black Sea.

"USS Ross enters Black Sea, promoting peace and stability while working with NATO allies and partners," a statement said.

The US Navy has stressed that "the Ross' presence in the Black Sea serves to demonstrate the United States' commitment to strengthening the collective security of NATO allies and partners in the region."

"The US Navy maintains an enduring commitment to forward-presence throughout the region in order to have ready-forces available if a crisis were to occur," the statement said.

Another NATO warship, France's Commandant Birot, also arrived in Black Sea waters on Wednesday night, according to a military diplomatic source cited by the Itar-Tass news agency.

"Both ships have passed through the Bosphorus and entered the Black Sea between 21:00 and 22:00 Moscow time," the source was quoted as saying.

Commandant Birot has joined another French warship, the Dupuy le Lome, a surveillance ship designed to collect signals and communications from beyond enemy lines. Up until September 4, the Dupuy le Lome was the only NATO ship in the region. The vessel is scheduled to leave the area on September 5.

Al-Qaeda commander Ayman al-Zawahari released a videotape Thursday announcing plans for a new wing of the terrorist group dedicated to waging jihad in the Indian subcontinent.

"Our brothers in Burma, Kashmir, Islamabad, Bangladesh, we did not forget you and will liberate you from injustice and oppression," he said, according to a translation from The Indian Express.

The videotape is believed to be the first released by the al-Qaeda chief in more than a year.

Al-Zawahari calls on Indians to "break all borders created by Britain in India, unite under the credo of the one god."

The new organization, translated as Organization of The Base of Jihad in the Indian Sub-Continent, also released online manifestos written by al-Zawahiri, spokesman Usama Mahmoud, and organizational chief Essam Omar.

The group's leaders are believed to be Pakistani nationals serving with al-Qaeda's command in that country, the Express reports. Umar has issued several manifestos and articles on al-Qaeda platforms, critiquing democracy and calling for armed jihad.

At least six civilians have been killed in fresh shelling by Ukrainian forces in the country's restive east.

Tuesday night's shelling occurred in the city of Yenakiyevo in the volatile Donetsk region, which is known to be the stronghold of pro-Russia fighters.

The pro-Russians said the Ukrainian forces were "shelling from artillery weapons residential neighborhoods on the southwest outskirts of Donetsk and in Yenakiyevo."

Kiev announced on Wednesday that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, have agreed to a "permanent ceasefire" in the volatile eastern Ukraine. Moscow, however, says the leaders agreed on steps towards peace in eastern Ukraine but not a truce as Moscow is not a party to the crisis.

Georgia's president said on Wednesday the country would seek an invitation to join NATO at a summit of leaders of the alliance in Wales this week.

President Georgy Margvelashvili, in a speech at the Chatham House think-tank, said: "We will shoot for an invitation for NATO membership. But we understand that...decisions are made in a much more complicated way."

NATO said earlier this year it would stop short of approving a formal step to membership for Georgia at the summit, agreeing in principle to a "substantive package" of cooperation with Georgia that would help it move closer to the alliance.

The Huffington Post's Washington bureau has hired professional football player and 9/11 truther Donte Stallworth as a fellow, covering national security.

Stallworth, a wide receiver in the NFL since 2002, is currently an unsigned free agent and has not played in any games since 2012. As a 9/11 truther, he has publicly stated that Osama bin Laden was not responsible for the attacks and that the Pentagon was not hit by a plane.

"NO WAY 9/11 was carried out by 'dying' Bin Laden, 19 men who couldn't fly a damn kite. STILL have NO EVIDENCE Osama was connected, like Iraq," Stallworth tweeted in 2009. Stallworth also tweeted, "Gggrrrrrrrrrrrrr @ ppl who actually believe a plane hit the pentagon on 9/11... hole woulda been ASTRONOMICALLY bigger, God bless lost lives."

In a statement Wednesday, Huffington Post Washington bureau chief Ryan Grim said Stallworth "has a quick mind, an insatiable curiosity and a passion for politics - the necessary qualities of a great journalist."

Stallworth played college football at the University of Tennessee and was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 2002. Over the next 10 years, he would play for the Philadelphia Eagles, the New England Patriots, the Cleveland Browns, the Baltimore Ravens and the Washington Redskins.

In 2009, Stallworth plead guilty to DUI manslaughter after killing a 59-year-old man in Florida. Grim said Wednesday, "We obviously believe in redemption and second chances."

UPDATE (10:23 a.m.): Poynter's Andrew Beaujon asked Grim about the truther tweets:

"That doesn't represent how he thinks today," Grim said. "You know, that was five years ago, and people say dumb things, but that shouldn't define him." ... Journalism, Grim said, "is like football in the sense that it's done in public and people are judged by how they perform on the field or in print."

UPDATE (10:33 a.m.): Several folks on Twitter have pointed out that Stallworth's most recent truther tweet was from November 2013, less than a year ago.

UPDATE (1:03 p.m.): Stallworth wrote Thursday, "I no longer feel the way I did in that tweet 5 years ago. ... After a lot of reading and researching on it, my views changed... and that's ok. ... Credit goes to James Bamford, whose great book disabused me of that stuff and showed what a disastrous intelligence failure 9/11 was."

NATO has pledged some 15 million euros to Ukraine, with several of the bloc's member states pledging separate bilateral support and military cooperation, involving medical supplies as well as lethal and nonlethal military equipment.

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen announced a "comprehensive and tailored package of measures" including the donation of 15 million euros "through NATO" at a joint news conference with the Ukrainian president on Thursday on the first day of the NATO summit in Wales.

He said that this would be in addition to other measures such as advising Ukraine on defense reforms and further bilateral aid.

"This is about improvement of logistics, the improvement of command and control, the improvement of communications, and cyber defense," Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.
