Puppet Masters
"The behavior of the takfiri groups that claim to follow Islam have distorted Islam, the Koran and the Muslim nation more than Islam's enemies ... who insulted the prophet in films... or drew cartoons of the prophet," the Hezbollah leader said in a televised speech to mark the birthday of the Prophet Mohammed, according to Lebanon's Daily Star.
Militant Islam practices a 'takfiri' doctrine that allows it to brand other Muslims apostates for allegedly going against the faith's true teachings.
A tragic attack on Wednesday took the lives of 12 people, when armed gunmen stormed the offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris, prompting a citywide manhunt. The magazine had printed cartoons that mocked the Prophet.
The House of Representatives has overwhelmingly passed a bill authorizing the Keystone XL pipeline to bring tar sands oil from Canada to the US, despite a renewed pledge by the White House to veto the legislation.
Hours before the House vote, Nebraska's highest court tossed out a lawsuit challenging the pipeline's route, an obstacle the White House said it needed removed to make a decision.
Keystone XL has been one of the biggest areas of conflict between President Barack Obama and a Congress where Republicans took complete control this week for the first time since his election.
The pipeline would move tar sands oil from Canada 1,179 miles (1,900km) south to refineries on the Gulf of Mexico coast. Supporters say it would create jobs and ease American dependence on Middle East oil. Critics argue production of the oil is environmentally harmful and that much of the Canadian crude would be exported with little or no impact on America's drive to reduce oil imports, which have already been falling because of record US oil production.
The House on Friday approved the measure 266-152, with 28 Democrats voting in support. It was one of the first pieces of legislation considered by the Republican-controlled Congress and the tenth vote the House had taken since July 2011 to advance the $8bn project.
Comment: Who owns the U.S. Congress? Big Business.
The Calgary-based oil patch and New Brunswick's Irving Oil Ltd., operators of Canada's largest refinery and 900 service stations in eastern Canada and New England, besides extensive Canadian holdings ranging from timber to tissues and shipbuilding to radio stations, are billionaires from the poorest region of the country who supply 60 percent of the gasoline in the greater Boston area. They are the fifth-largest private landholder in the U.S., with tracts sufficient to cover four-fifths of Delaware. Their fortune has been calculated at more than $10 billion.
Due to the U.S. stall out, apparently Canada is considering end-run plans "B and C" for its 168 billion proven barrels. "B" takes the crude to the Canadian coast in British Columbia (opposition from aboriginal groups running on this one), and "C" takes it to the East Coast (almost 5000 km) via Energy East and onward to India, gaining Canada more profit than a deal with the U.S and approval as early as 2016. However, environmental interests in Quebec are coming to the fore.
Pipelines are never foolproof. Eco hazards will occur at the expense of the environment and the public (who will inevitably pick up the tab for shoddy construction and its ramifications as in all pipelines, not to mention the sudden and timely demise of legitimate whistleblowers trying to prevent such occurrences). In the end, the public pays whether it is at the pump or to rectify disasters. What'll it be?
"Representatives of various French political forces as well as foreign states will participate in the event. The Russian delegation will be headed by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov," the statement reads.
Comment: The Russian delegation no doubt knows who the real terrorists are. The coziness of Hollande and Putin in the last few months might have triggered this Zionist reaction to get France back "on the bus":
- Cui bono: Who profits from the Charlie killing?
- Paul Craig Roberts - Paris attack designed to shore up France's vassal status

Foreign journalists and other people hold placards that read "I am Charlie" during a campaign at a bookstore in Beijing January 8, 2015 for the victims of the shooting at the Paris offices of weekly newspaper Charlie Hebdo on Wednesday
Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, who was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan Administration and associate editor of the Wall Street Journal, made the remarks in an article published on Thursday.
"The suspects can be both guilty and patsies. Just remember all the terrorist plots created by the FBI that served to make the terrorism threat real to Americans," he wrote.
He said that the French economy is suffering from the US-imposed sanctions against Russia. "Shipyards are impacted from being unable to deliver Russian orders due to France's vassalage status to Washington, and other aspects of the French economy are being adversely impacted by sanctions that Washington forced its NATO puppet states to apply to Russia."

Cui bono? This is the question people need to ask themselves. It's interesting that this shooting happened right when France was making certain moves like recognizing Palestine and proposing that anti-Russian sanctions be lifted.
This is a battle for our minds and souls. The wizards behind the curtains are pulling the strings and manipulating us to believe in lies. They want us to sheepishly accept their psychological worldview of hatred and domination. It's the age old tactics of divide-and-conquer in order to shape public opinion to approve the "war on terror" in the West and the wars for oil and geopolitical control in the Middle-East. When people are blaming Muslims for everything, they miss the real culprits: the psychopaths in power.
If you have read history, you'll know that the idea of the Powers That Be doing false-flag operations in Europe is not too far-stretched. Have you heard of Operation Gladio? It included terror attacks in European countries by NATO/CIA/MI6 trained and connected satellites to shape public opinion and gain political influence. These terror attacks were used to scapegoat political-left groups. Operation Gladio never ended, so the Charlie Hebdo shootings are merely the latest in a long, long chain of methodically-applied state violence.
Susurluk marks the beginning of a transition from the original Gladio operations using ultranationalist operatives and a Gladio "Plan B" involving Islamic terrorism as the conduit for the strategy of tension.Related articles:

Citing information made available by unidentified intelligence sources, Spiegel said the plant was in an inaccessible mountain region in the west of the war-ravaged country, two kilometres (1.2 miles) from the Lebanese border.
It is deep underground, near the town of Qusayr and has access to electricity and water supplies, the magazine said in a pre-released version of the story released ahead of Saturday's publication.
It said it had had access to "exclusive documents", satellite photographs and intercepted conversations thanks to intelligence sources.
Western experts suspect, based on the documents, that a reactor or an enrichment plant could be the aim of the project, whose codename is "Zamzam", Spiegel said.
The Syrian regime has transferred 8,000 fuel rods to the plant that had been planned for a facility at Al-Kibar, it added.
In 2007, a bombing raid on an undeclared Syrian nuclear facility at Al-Kibar was widely understood to have been an Israeli strike, but it was never acknowledged by the Jewish state.
Spiegel said North Korean and Iranian experts are thought to be part of the "Zamzam" project.
Comment: Seems legitimate.
The Lebanese militia Hezbollah, which supports al-Assad's regime in the bloody conflict in Syria, is guarding the secret project, it added.
Comment: WMD propaganda all over again. The Western elite are hoping to get public support for their invasion of Syria and it's really no coincidence that Spiegel comes out with this 'report' following the latest 'terror attack' in France.
Speaking outside Elysée Palace in the aftermath of this week's terror killings in France, former President Nicolas Sarkozy condemned the violence as "an attack on civilization." Coiffured, sun-tanned and nattily dressed, Sarkozy's solemn words made him appear like the embodiment of civility.
That's a quaint turn in etiquette by a politician who is mired in allegations of sleaze and corruption, as well as war crimes.
Sarkozy wasn't too concerned about "civilization" when he and his British allies launched the NATO bombing campaign of Libya in March 2011 in stark violation of a UN mandate. That seven-month onslaught led to the murder of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi - from whom Sarkozy had gladly received hush-hush political donations in the past, before stabbing him in the back.
The illegal French-led NATO blitzkrieg on Libya subverted a constitutional government and resulted in the ongoing destruction of one of Africa's most economically developed countries. Libya has been sacked to become a failed state, over-run by extremist Takfiri militia and tribal warlords, whose warped ideology is shared by the ISIS terror network destroying Syria and Iraq. The same ideology includes the armed adherents who struck this week in Paris, killing more than a dozen people.
Avigdor Lieberman, Israel's foreign minister, has also called on the West not to remain weak before the "Islamic" terror, which he claims Israel is already fighting. Several Israeli writers also used the Paris attack as an opportunity to incite hatred against Palestinians, rather than one to come together in the mutual fight against extremism.
Netanyahu prominently called for the West to intensify its support for Israel in its war against Islamists, mainly the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, which resists the ongoing occupation of Palestine.
"The attacks of radical Islam know no boundaries," Netanyahu told French President François Hollande over the telephone, "these are international attacks and the response has to be international."
Netanyahu also expressed the sympathy "that all the citizens of Israel feel for the people of France and for the grieving families," reminding the world that Israel has experienced similar attacks by Hamas and Hezbollah.
"We know the pain but we also know the resolution with which free societies can defeat terror - however dreadful, however threatening," he said.
"Israel is with France on this difficult day. The terror of Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIL and Al-Qaeda will not stop unless the West fights it physically, rather than fighting its false arguments. Islamic terror is not mainly targeting Israel, but is even targeting the West and its civilisation," he added.
Comment: Equating Hamas and Hezbollah with ISIS and Al-Qaeda, how clever. Never mind the close ISIS-Israeli ties.
SOTT EXCLUSIVE: Match made in Sheol: Israel working with terrorists in Syria (says UN), Mossad training ISIS (says Putin aide)
Comment: So who benefits from the #CharlieHebdo incident? Clearly, the pathological government of Israel.

Prime minister Netanyahu confirmed on January 9, the dispatch of an Israeli Police SWAT team unit which would be working in liaison with its French counterparts. The Israeli SWAT unit "specialising in siege situations and rescues is on standby ready to travel to Paris to assist the French authorities resolve the siege of the kosher grocery store." according to Haaretz (emphasis added).
It should be noted that the entire French police apparatus is mobilized. What would be the role of the Israeli police forces? Political propaganda? Bear in mind: president Francois Hollande is scheduled to make a major political statement in the wake of the police operation. [...]
The Role of Mossad
In addition to the Israeli SWAT team, Prime minister Netanyahu "has ordered Mossad to provide French officials for all the assistance they need in tackling the ongoing terror situation in and around Paris" (Daily Telegraph, emphasis added). What this suggests is that Mossad agents would be operating on French soil in partnership with France's Direction générale de la sécurité extérieureformerly known as Le Deuxième Bureau.
According to Israel's prime minister Netanyahu, (January 9)"[the attacks on Charlie Hebdo and the Paris kosher grocery store] are a microcosm of of a greater battle against jihadists ...
This is a global struggle. Bringing to justice the Paris murderers is just the beginning,...
And all of them seek to destroy our freedoms and to impose on all of us a violent, medieval tyranny. They might have different names, but all of them are driven by the same hatred and blood-thirsty fanaticism."
They bomb churches in Iraq; they slaughter tourists in Bali; they rocket civilians from Gaza; and strive to build nuclear weapons in Iran...we have to fight these enemies of our common civilization" (quoted in Times of Israel, January 9, 2015)What the Times of Israel report fails to mention is that Netanyahu has been actively supporting Islamic State (ISIS) and Al Nusrah terrorists out of the occupied Golan heights. While coming to France's rescue, Netanyahu does not deny his government's support of the jihadists in Syria. The IDF top brass has acknowledged that "global jihad elements inside Syria" are supported by Israel:© Unknown
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Shakes Hand with an Al Qaeda Terrorist, Israeli military field hospital at the occupied Golan Heights’ border with Syria, 18 February 2014. Is the wounded terrorist an Israeli intelligence asset?Netanyahu toured the Golan Heights with Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon and IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz.Ironically, the State of Israel is collaborating with the French authorities in the Charlie Hebdo counterterrorism operation, while also supporting the two main terrorist entities in Syria: the Islamic State (ISIS) and Al Nusrah.
At a lookout point overlooking the Syrian border, OC Northern Command Maj.-Gen. Yair Golan briefed Netanyahu on the presence of global jihad elements inside Syria, as well as on the work being done to fortify the Israeli-Syrian border fence. (Jerusalem Post, February 19, 2014)
While there is no evidence of Mossad presence prior to the Charlie Hebdo attacks, it should be noted that France and Israel have a longstanding bilateral relationship in military and intelligence affairs. The fact that the Israeli government announced its intention to dispatch Mossad officials to Paris might suggest that Israeli intelligence officials were in Paris at an earlier date, prior to the January 9 official announcement by PM Netanyahu. [...]
"The forbidden truth" which the French public should address is that Western governments including France, NATO and Israel - while waging a self-proclaimed "Global War on Terrorism" - routinely provide covert support to the same terrorist entities which are the object of their "humanitarian wars" and "counter-terrorism operations".
"Whatever powers are behind this assault, they have exerted an effort to sow seeds of a new cultural conflict," Davutoglu was quoted as saying by the agency Thursday.
The foreign minister added that the Turkish people have to proclaim their "Muslim-Turkish identity without any hesitation" if they face Islamophobic reaction following the terror attack in Paris.
Comment: With this latest shooting spree the West was reminded that "Muslims = terrorists." Many were caught up in the wave of identifying Charlie Hebdo's bigoted caricature of Muslims with their "freedom of speech". This wave of propaganda, ranging from mainstream media to the #IamCharlie Twitter campaign that spread it, effectively stamped the public mind with the Zionist caricature of Muslims which has been used to fuel the "War on Terror" from the beginning. As long as good people remain silent these murderous lies will continue unchallenged.

On Thursday, while on an official visit to Berlin, the bespectacled young politician was interviewed live by the German TV channel ARD, where he claimed that the USSR had kicked off the Second World War by invading Germany.
"All of us still clearly remember the Soviet invasion of Ukraine and Germany," he said. "We need to avoid it."
"Nobody has the right to rewrite the results of the Second World War," he added. "Russia's President Putin is trying to do exactly this."
Yatsenyuk, however, did not clarify what particular results of the Second World War President Putin is trying to rewrite. The TV host seemed uninterested in pursuing the matter.
Prior to the Second World War, most of Ukraine, including Kiev, was part of the USSR although what was to become western Ukraine was split between Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Romania.

President Barack Obama eats shave ice with daughter Malia at Island Snow, Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, in Kailua, in Hawaii during the Obama family vacation.
Comment: While the majority of the American public struggles to pay their bills, the Obamas have no problem living it up at the taxpayer's expense. Clearly this is a president who's comfortable enjoying the fruits of the empire while the masses live in constant struggle.
President Barack Obama and his family just spent their Christmas and New Year's holidays in Kailua. Now it's time for taxpayers to pick up the tab.
While the Obamas and friends who accompany them pay for their own private vacation home rentals on or near Kailua Beach, taxpayers foot a multimillion dollar tab for everything from a stand-by ambulance to the fuel for Air Force One.
Local taxpayers pick up the bill for Honolulu Police Department escorts who guard Obama, first lady Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha around the clock. Figures just released by HPD spokeswoman Michelle Yu show HPD spent $277,000 on overtime costs this year during the president's 16-day vacation. That's $16,000 less than in 2013, but $60,000 more than in 2012.
The Emergency Management Services department also dispatches an ambulance to be on call for the president, which annually costs the city about $15,890.
The U.S. Secret Service doesn't disclose information about the expense for its agents to travel to and stay in Hawaii or guard the first family.
Dozens of Secret Service agents were spotted at Ala Moana Hotel checking in the day before Obama arrived. A spokeswoman for the hotel said she couldn't release details on the number of agents who stayed there, but hotel staff told Watchdog the government rate would be about $200 a night, including taxes.
Secret Service agents, Navy SEALs and Coast Guard officials also rent private homes along the canal near the president in Kailua at a cost of $250 per room per night, according to several residents renting their homes.
