Puppet Masters
The incident occurred three days ago and the footage shows the moment of impact the mortar shell hit a school on Shaalan street.
With the Syrian Army making final preparations to begin an operation to clear out East Ghouta of jihadists, Damascus has been experiencing a higher volume then usual of mortar strikes. Over the past few days dozens of civilians have been killed by so-called "moderate rebels" as the mainstream media calls them.
"In the last few days The Sun, The Mail, The Telegraph and The Express have gone a little bit James Bond," Corbyn said on Twitter. Then a word of warning followed from the UK opposition leader: "Change is coming."
According to the Sun, the BBC, Sky News, ITV News and Channel 4 News all declined to broadcast any of the video in their news bulletins, furious that the Labour leader is refusing to do interviews over the Soviet spy accusations. The Sun cheekily omitted the fact that they were at the front of the pack, leading the charge against Corbyn and his alleged stint as a Czechoslovakian informant.

From The Daily Mail:
Justin Trudeau has been ridiculed on social media by Indians for his 'tacky' and over the top outfit choices while on his first visit to their nation as Prime Minister. The only time Justin Trudeau seems truly happy is when he's virtue signalling by dressing up in foreign garb.
While many praised his clothing during the first two days of his trip, patience was wearing thin by the time he attended a Bollywood gala on Tuesday night, before the tide turned against him on Wednesday.
Ministers, authors, journalists and ordinary Indians lined up to mock him on Wednesday, saying his wardrobe was 'fake and annoying'.
Perhaps taking note of the criticism, the Canadian leader donned a suit on Thursday as he visited Jama Masjid, one of India's largest mosques.
Comment: You can only use the 'cool diversity liberal dude' card so many times before it becomes ridiculous, Justin.

"We're there for one reason: to get ISIS and get rid of ISIS, and to go home," Trump said on Friday, during a joint press conference with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull at the White House. "We're not there for any other reason and we've largely accomplished our goal."
While Trump did not hesitate to call the Syrian government "a humanitarian disgrace," criticizing Russia and Iran for their involvement, his comments implied the US military also had no business in Syria beyond the 'ultimate' goal of defeating Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL).
"Ultimately, there has to be a political settlement," said Turnbull, noting that Australian troops in the region have been focused on training the Iraqi military and not so much on Syria.
Comment: Expect something to happen in Syria in order to change Trump's mind.
Speaking to Russian news agency Sputnik, Maximov said "I hope we receive new orders from the Iraqi side for the purchase of arms of local producers, and that applies also to the S-400 missile system".
"When we receive a suitable request from the Iraqi government we will discuss it," Maximov said.

‘American pundits have gone from zero to 60 on this matter in no time at all – from ignoring the Facebook posts to outright hysteria over them.’
Pundits and Democrats ascribe to a handful of bargain-basement Russian trolls all manner of ability - including orchestrating a coup d'etat
The grand total for all political ad spending in the 2016 election cycle, according to Advertising Age, was $9.8bn. The ads allegedly produced by inmates of a Russian troll farm, which have made up this week's ration of horror and panic in the halls of the American punditburo, cost about $100,000 to place on Facebook.
A few months ago, when I first described those Russian ads in this space, I invited readers to laugh at them. They were "low-budget stuff, ugly, loud and stupid", I wrote. They interested me because they cast the paranoid right, instead of the left, as dupes of a foreign power. And yet, I wrote, the American commentariat had largely overlooked them.
Now that Robert Mueller's office has indicted the Russian actors who are allegedly behind the ads, however, all that has changed. American pundits have gone from zero to 60 on this matter in no time at all - from ignoring the Facebook posts to outright hysteria over them.
What the Russian trolls allegedly did was "an act of war ... a sneak attack using 21st-century methods", wrote the columnist Karen Tumulty. "Our democracy is in serious danger," declared America's star thought-leader Thomas Friedman on Sunday, raging against the weakling Trump for not getting tough with these trolls and their sponsors. "Protecting our democracy obviously concerns Trump not at all," agreed columnist Eugene Robinson on Tuesday.

Trump was in the midst of outlining his administration's achievements, including tax reform and confirming federal judges, when the demonstrator appeared, prompting the audience to start booing.
As the man was escorted out by security, Trump supporters booed and chanted "USA, USA." Many wore Make America Great Again hats.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi (L) and Saudi Arabia's King Salman met Riyadh in November 2017.
Washington had reportedly working behind the scenes during the ongoing Paris meeting of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to take action against Islamabad, which it says has acted against terrorist financing and the implementation of the UN Security Council resolutions.
Officials involved in the process told The Wall Street Journal on Thursday that a US effort to reverse the decision on the watch list was under way Wednesday at the FAFT meeting.
The report said this was one of the "rare disagreements" between Saudi Arabia and the administration of US President Donald Trump.
Only in the world of comic-book fantasies is the United States a friend to the oppressed in Africa or anywhere else on the planet. In the real world, the U.S. is a predator, colonial/capitalist nation. But like the imagined nation of Wakanda, in the latest cultural assault on critical mass consciousness, "American exceptionalism" and "make America great again" - two slogans representing both sides of the imperialist coin-ruling class interests are obscured and the people are reduced to working against their objective interests and being accomplices to imperial lawlessness.
In every part of the world, the United States is engaged in maniacal, criminal assaults on democracy, basic human decency and common sense. From its support for armed jihadists groups in Syria and its illegal occupation of that nation, transferring heavy military equipment to its puppet regime in Ukraine, supporting unending war in Afghanistan, to the military invasion of African, the commitment to maintaining U.S. global dominance has moved war and militarism to the center of U.S. strategy.
Comment: A succinct appraisal. The West is stuck in "might makes right", a mindset and policy driver that subjugates all targets to its flawed premise, leaving destruction and destabilization in its wake. See also:

"Today I am announcing that we are launching the largest-ever set of new sanctions on the North Korean regime," Trump said in excerpts of a speech he was to deliver later on Friday morning. He added the sanctions will target more than 50 "vessels, shipping companies, and trade businesses that are assisting North Korea in evading sanctions."
The restrictions are yet another attempt to put pressure on Pyongyang over its nuclear and ballistic missile tests. North Korea last year conducted its sixth and largest nuclear test despite UN Security Council resolutions. The sanctions are directed at one person, 27 companies, and 28 vessels, according to a statement on the US Treasury Department's website.
The North Korean shipping industry is the main way in which North Korea gets round sanctions to fund its nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs, according to the US Treasury. The last round of US restrictions came in January 2018 when the US Treasury Department added 16 individuals, nine entities, and six ships to the North Korea sanctions blacklist, including two companies based in China.
These come on top of sanctions launched by the UN Security Council in 2017 which targeted North Korea's export of coal, iron, and iron ore.
