Comment: Apartheid, a policy begun in South Africa in 1948, means literally, in Afrikaans, "separateness," from Dutch "apart." Many of us in Western countries are currently living under a regime of Absolute Apartheid, a regime of government-enforced separateness between all individuals, and specifically between family members, neighbors and friends within the same social and cultural milieu.
Unsurprisingly, perhaps, given its recent history of applying Apartheid racially, Israel is leading the way in Absolute Apartheid...

As country begins to reopen stores, gyms, hotels, and other venues starting next week, Israelis will need to show proof that they have been vaccinated against, or recovered from, COVID-19 before being allowed to enter some events and places.
Street-front shops, malls, markets, museums, and libraries will be open to all Israelis. But only those who have been vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19 will be able to use gyms, and enter sporting and culture events, hotels, and swimming pools, showing "green pass" proof to gain access.
The coronavirus czar, Nachman Ash, said Monday that Israelis will have to use an app as proof, or print out barcoded certificates to prove their status.















Comment: Here they come. Covid-19 passports were allegedly just a part of the conspiracy theory in some people's minds, and now it looks like they are becoming reality, perhaps starting with Israel.
It looks to be that history is repeating in a drive in some quarters to implement closer monitoring of citizens.
How far will this go? Will people accept it? And either way, how far SHOULD things go?
