9/11 was "mother of all false flag" attacks

The September 11, 2001 attack in the United States was the "mother of all false flag" operations, according to Stephen Lendman, an American writer, journalist and political analyst.

In a recent interview, US President Donald Trump said he knows who was behind 9/11 that left thousands of Americans dead.

Trump said that "Iraq did not knock down the World Trade Center."

"It was not Iraq," he told the American broadcaster. "It were other people. And I think I know who the other people were. And you might also."

Comment: And until the greater public learn the truth of these false flag attacks and take action, those who profit from them will only continue to push our planet closer towards a dystopia: Also check out SOTT radio's: Behind the Headlines: No Ordinary Inside Job - The 9/11 Psy-Ops

Airlines reroute flights to avoid Iranian airspace in the Gulf, following US FAA guidance

European carriers British Airways, KLM, Lufthansa and others have rerouted their flights to avoid Iranian airspace. The FAA had banned US civilian aircraft from parts of the Gulf, after an American drone was downed by Tehran.

The UK's flagship airline, British Airways, announced that it will adhere to the guidance issued by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). "Our safety and security team are constantly liaising with authorities around the world as part of their comprehensive risk assessment into every route we operate," the carrier's spokeswoman said, adding that its flights will continue operating via alternative routes.

Dutch carrier KLM also confirmed media reports that its planes will be avoiding parts of the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman in the wake of the FAA ban.

Comment: In light of tragedies like MH17, while Iran poses no threat to civilian aircraft legally entering its airspace, they would most certainly be blamed if another tragedy were to occur: Also check out SOTT radio's: NewsReal: Israeli-French Deception Downs Russian Spy Plane Off Syria, US Escalates 'Regime Change' Against Iran

The Fact That Americans Need To Be Deceived Into War Proves They Don't Actually Support It

colin powell
Last night Fox's Tucker Carlson praised Trump's decision not to go forward with a planned attack against Iran which the president claims would have killed approximately 150 people in response to a downed drone, which if true would have been a profoundly barbaric response to a broken toy plane and would have led to retaliations from Iran, followed by a chain of military actions which could have escalated God knows how far.

Carlson, who has been credited with persuading Trump against further military escalations with Iran, lit into the neoconservative elements of Trump's cabinet with unprecedented viciousness. He called National Security Advisor John Bolton a "bureaucratic tapeworm" who never suffers any consequences for his relentless warmongering and accusing him and his collaborators of deliberately engineering a provocation to lead to direct military confrontation. Carlson urged Trump to expunge the influencers who are pushing for a war with Iran, and cautioned that it would cost him re-election.

"Bombing Iran would have ended [Trump's] political career in a minute," Carlson said. "There'd be no chance of re-election after that."

Carlson's first guest, The American Conservative's Robert Merry, plainly stated the likely reason for Bolton's deceitful manipulations, saying that Americans are typically reluctant to go to war and citing a few of the historical instances in which they were tricked into consenting to it by those who desire mass military violence.

"So, you're saying that there is a long, almost unbroken history of lying our way into war?" Carlson asked his guest rhetorically.

"Lying sometimes, not always lying, sometimes it's manipulations, but yeah," Merry replied. "America's warmaking history indicates that there's been significant instances of that kind of maneuvering, manipulations, and in some instances lying - Vietnam is a great example - to get us into wars that the American people weren't clamoring for."

Both men are correct. The US empire does indeed have an extensive and well-documented history of using lies, manipulations and distortions to manufacture consent for war from a populace that would otherwise choose peace, and a Reuters poll released last month found that only 12 percent of Americans favor attacking Iranian military interests without having been attacked first.

Police called to Boris Johnson's home after neighbours hear partner screaming

boris johnson flat
Police were called to the home of Boris Johnson and his partner, Carrie Symonds, in the early hours of Friday morning after neighbours heard a loud altercation involving screaming, shouting and banging.

The argument could be heard outside the property where the potential future prime minister is living with Symonds, a former Conservative party head of press.

A neighbour told the Guardian they heard a woman screaming followed by "slamming and banging". At one point Symonds could be heard telling Johnson to "get off me" and "get out of my flat".

Comment: The Guardian reports further that the neighbour who called the police did so only as a last resort:
Penn, who heard the loud argument, said he only contacted the police as a last resort after knocking three times at the couple's flat and was concerned over the "bizarre and fictitious allegations" put to him and his wife since news of the incident broke and dominated front pages.

In a statement released on Saturday night, Penn, 29, said: "In the early hours of Friday morning, I answered a phone call from a takeaway food delivery driver. At the same time, I heard what sounded like shouting coming from the street.

"I went downstairs, on the phone to the driver, and collected my food. On the way back into my flat, it became clear that the shouting was coming from a neighbour's flat. It was loud enough and angry enough that I felt frightened and concerned for the welfare of those involved, so I went inside my own home, closed the door, and pressed record on the voice memos app on my phone.

"After a loud scream and banging, followed by silence, I ran upstairs, and with my wife agreed that we should check on our neighbours. I knocked three times at their front door, but there was no response. I went back upstairs into my flat, and we agreed that we should call the police.

"To be clear, the recordings were of the noise within my own home. My sole concern up until this point was the welfare and safety of our neighbours. I hope that anybody would have done the same thing.

"Once clear that no one was harmed, I contacted the Guardian, as I felt it was of important public interest. I believe it is reasonable for someone who is likely to become our next prime minister to be held accountable for all of their words, actions and behaviours.

"I, along with a lot of my neighbours all across London, voted to remain within the EU. That is the extent of my involvement in politics.

"The unpleasant things being said about myself and my partner, and some quite frankly bizarre and fictitious allegations, have been upsetting for not only us, but also for family, friends and fellow Camberwell neighbours, who are currently being harangued by the media. I would ask that you leave private citizens alone and focus instead on those who have chosen to run for power within the public eye.

Johnson has refused to comment on the incident.

Iranian defence ministry employee executed for spying for CIA

Earlier, Tehran announced that it busted a "large US cyber-espionage" network run by the CIA, arresting several spies. According to Tehran, the operation was organised and conducted in cooperation with "partners", without naming them.

Iranian defence employee, Jalal Haji Zwar, who allegedly collaborated with the CIA and spied for the United States, has been executed in Rajaishahr Prison, Iran, the Judiciary Organization of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic said in its statement. Jalal Haji Zwar worked as a contractor for the ministry-controlled Aerospace Industries Organization, but was dismissed in 2010.

The statement indicated that the evidence found in Zwar's house, namely documents and spy equipment, substantiated the accusations against him. It also stressed that the man had a chance to defend himself at a fair trial. In its ruling, the court sentenced him to death, while his spouse received a 15-year prison term for taking part in the espionage efforts.

Comment: Iran is fighting for its survival and subversion could lead to devastation for the entire population. Meanwhile, the US is threatening the death penalty to Julian Assange for releasing information about the illegal behavior of certain Americans which does not pose a national security risk, moreover, allowing it to go unaddressed actually endangers the future of America:

MH17 investigation: Politically compromised right from the beginning

MH17
© Reuters/ Maxim Zmeyev
The investigation into the crash of the MH17 Malaysia Airlines plane in East Ukraine was always compromised, right from the start. The crash on July 17 2014 came shortly after the "Euromaidan revolution" in Kiev - which first began in November 2013 and culminated in the ousting of elected president Yanukovich on 23 February 2014, happily helped along by John McCain, Victoria Nuland and then-US ambassador to Ukraine (now ambassador to Greece) Geoffrey Pyatt for the USA, as well as various EU actors.

Russia reacted by "annexing" Crimea - a large majority of whose people had voted for Yanukovich, thereby safeguarding its access to its only warm water port. Not a shot was fired there, but it was very different in East Ukraine (Donbass), where people - of Russian origin - also didn't want to be subjected to a new regime under Nuland's puppet Yatsenyuk - and later Poroshenko. They started a civil war which continues to this day.

Why the US Deep State wants to see Julian Assange dead

On April 5, 2010, WikiLeaks released ”Collateral Murder,” a video showing a July 12, 2007 US Apache attack helicopter attack upon individuals in a Baghdad suburb. Amongst the over twelve people killed by the 30mm cannon fire were two Reuters journalists.
Below is a full video version of Collateral Murder, the 2007 war footage that was leaked in 2010 to Wikileaks by Chelsea (then Bradley) Manning. This version was posted to the Wikileaks YouTube channel with subtitles. It will only take about 15 minutes of your life to view it.

It's brutal to watch, but I challenge you to do it anyway. It shows not just murder, but a special kind of murder - murder from the safety of the air, murder by men with heavy machine guns slowly circling their targets in helicopters like hunters with shotguns who walk the edges of a trout pond, shooting at will, waiting, walking, then shooting again, till all the fish are dead.

The film also shows war crimes that implicate the entire structure of the U.S. military, as everyone involved was acting under orders, seeking permission to fire, waiting, then getting it before once more blasting away. The publication of this video, plus all the Wikileaks publications that followed, comprise the whole reason everyone in the U.S. who matters, everyone with power, wants Julian Assange dead.

They also want him hated. Generating that hate is the process we're watching today.

Turkey's defense official: US can't unilaterally eliminate Turkey from F-35 program

The United States cannot unilaterally remove Turkey from the F-35 fighter jet program as the partnership agreement does not allow it, Turkey's head of Defense Industries Directorate said on Friday.

"No single country can say they don't want you and then remove you from the program," Ismail Demir told reporters.

"This isn't part of the agreement, this isn't something you can just say 'I exclude you' about. The F-35 project is a partnership and nowhere in the agreement does it allow a unilateral removal of one country," he said.

Ankara and Washington have been at loggerheads for months over Turkey's planned purchase of Russian S-400 missile defense system. The United States says the S-400s are incompatible with NATO's defense network and could compromise its F-35 fighter jets, an aircraft Turkey is helping build and planning to buy.

Ex-CIA chief Panetta: 'It cannot look like the US is in the pocket of Israel' nor vice versa

The Trump administration is expected to unveil a much-anticipated Mideast peace agreement this year, which will likely rule out a two-state solution. The release of the agreement was delayed until September in the wake of political uncertainty in Israel.

Leon Panetta, a former US defence secretary who was also in charge of the CIA between 2009 and 2011, has said that the backing of Israeli policies by the Trump administration has undermined the United States' credibility as a peace-broker in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Panetta told Israeli Army Radio that the United States has failed to maintain a "balanced approach" in its relations with the Israelis and the Palestinians.

"We've always tried to maintain a balanced relationship and because the United States appears to have given up that balanced approach it has created serious problems" in bringing Palestinians on board with the upcoming peace plan, Panetta told the station, as quoted by The Times of Israel.

Panetta opined that Washington and Tel Aviv appear to "go overboard" in their relations. "It cannot look like the United States is in the pocket of Israel, or Israel for that matter is in the pocket of the United States," he added.

Comment: Too little too late, Mr. Panetta. There is no doubt about the 'in the pocket' particulars of this relationship. The American people need to wake up to this fact, see the manipulations for what they truly are and do something about it!

2020? Biden is Trump's biggest asset!

The official launch of Trump's campaign for re-election in 2020 invites us to ponder if the Democrats are, as in 2016, going to help him win.

"By seeking and blundering we learn," the renowned German thinker Johann Wolfgang von Goethe asserts is the recipe for progress. It's just a pity he isn't around now to advise the Democratic Party on how to beat Trump, because in its case the blundering hasn't stopped and the learning hasn't begun.

Putting it another way, if, as supporters of Bernie Sanders allege, the DNC (Democratic National Committee, official governing body of the Democratic Party) is intent on repeating its blunder of 2016, when it rigged its nomination process in favour of Hillary Clinton's campaign, Trump's re-election is guaranteed.

This time round, not Hillary Clinton but Joe Biden is the DNC's preferred choice. And just like Clinton before him, Biden is a product of a liberal establishment yet to wake up to the fact that the thin gruel of political centrism belongs in the trashcan of history along with its economic twin, neoliberalism.

'Honest Joe' is the latest in a long line of out-of-touch Democrats who believe that shadow rather than substance is the way to the hearts of the American voting public. However, having been fooled once by an all singing and all dancing Barack Obama, who didn't so much campaign in poetry and govern in prose, as campaign in poetry and govern in graffiti, the same voting public is yearning for a semblance of substance.
