Xi's new Communist Manifesto

Chinese President Xi Jinping is poised to take a third five-year term.
Leader's unshakeable ambition is that China's renaissance will smash memories of the 'century of humiliation' once and for all

Marx. Lenin. Mao. Deng. Xi.

Late last week in Beijing, the sixth plenum of the Chinese Communist Party adopted a historic resolution - only the third in its 100-year history - detailing major accomplishments and laying out a vision for the future.

Essentially, the resolution poses three questions. How did we get here? How come we were so successful? And what have we learned to make these successes long-lasting?

The importance of this resolution should not be underestimated. It imprints a major geopolitical fact: China is back. Big time. And doing it their way. No amount of fear and loathing deployed by the declining hegemon will alter this path.

The resolution will inevitably prompt quite a few misunderstandings. So allow me a little deconstruction, from the point of view of a gwailo who has lived between East and West for the past 27 years.

If we compare China's 31 provinces with the 214 sovereign states that compose the "international community", every Chinese region has experienced the fastest economic growth rates in the world.

'Fabricated, idle rumours': Russiagate, the Steele dossier, US indictment of Danchenko

Igor Danchenko

Igor Danchenko
On November 7-8, this website published a report on what the indictment of Igor Danchenko by the US Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Special Counsel John Durham didn't mean, and what consequences it was unlikely to have. The title was: Does the US Government really intend to make lying about Russia a crime? The question was more than rhetorical, it was ironical.

In the days following, more evidence has been published which fills out the blanks in that report, also heaping irony upon irony. This work provides fresh evidence about individuals; organisations; a trail of urine from the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Moscow; money trails and plots which the Danchenko indictment masks with anonymous tags, overlooks, or conceals deliberately.

Research and detective work by Liane Theuerkauf in Munich, Stephen McIntyre and his ClimateAudit website in Canada, Marcy Wheeler and her EmptyWheel blog in Houston, Chuck Ross of the Daily Caller in Washington, DC, and others deserve to be expanded here and followed up. They are instructive; Aaron Maté and his Grayzone colleagues, Matt Taibbi, Glenn Greenwald, and Jimmy Dore ignore or misrepresent this research while trying to sell you false scoops they attribute to themselves.

And there it is: Amazon's Bezos predicts only 'limited number' of people will get to remain on Earth

Jeff Bezos addresses the media about the New Shepard
Humanity will move most industry into space and allow only a select few to remain on our planet, which will be turned into a natural resort, according to self-funded space explorer Jeff Bezos.

The Amazon billionaire enthusiastically shared his predictions for what human civilization will look like in the future - with him personally helping to bring that future closer - during a talk at the annual Ignatius Forum in Washington, DC.

He expects vast cylindrical space colonies spinning to create artificial gravity for millions of residents to take over most industrial production. Meanwhile, Earth will be turned into a natural reserve with restricted access similar to US national parks today.

Comment: So Bezos is proposing orbiting 'company towns', the stuff of countless sci-fi dystopias. Does the man even hear himself?

How China is evading US spies

xi jinping china
President Xi Jinping’s anti-corruption campaign has led to greater scrutiny of Chinese officials’ income, making US payments to potential sources far more problematic, two former officials said.
A lack of top-tier intelligence on Chinese President Xi Jinping's inner circle is frustrating senior Biden administration officials struggling to get ahead of Beijing's next steps, according to current and former officials who have reviewed the most sensitive US intelligence reports.

Those officials, who asked not to be identified discussing sensitive issues, say China is becoming a harder target and more opaque, just as the demand for insights into Xi's decision-making is soaring and tensions with the United States are heating up over issues from Taiwan to high technology.

That reality comes after officials in both the Trump and Biden administrations said they were surprised by Beijing's rapid moves to consolidate control of Hong Kong, project military power across the South China Sea, limit probes into the origins of Covid-19, undercut Chinese companies going public in the US and ramp up hacking against adversaries.

Top Moscow journalist alleges Navalny's inner circle 'infiltrated' by Russian intelligence agents

Alexey Navalny in the hall of the Babushkinsky district court.
Russian opposition figure Alexey Navalny's decision to return home, despite facing certain arrest and possibly jail time, was encouraged by intelligence agents planted in his inner circle, a veteran radio journalist has claimed.

Speaking to RTVi TV, Alexey Venediktov claimed that Navalny fell victim to an operation run by the authorities in Moscow.

In January this year, the Western-backed activist returned to Russia from Germany, knowing that he would likely be put in prison for breaking the conditions of a suspended sentence handed to him in 2014, when he was found guilty of embezzling 30 million rubles ($415,000) from two companies, including the French cosmetics brand Yves Rocher.

Comment: Navalny was happily ensconced in Germany with the (undeclared) protection of the West. What kind of right-thinking person would return to a country where he's sure to be arrested the moment he steps off a plane?

Exasperation and dysfunction: Inside Kamala Harris' inept start as vice president

Vice-President Kamala Harris

Comment: Watch as CNN struggles to report somewhat accurately on Harris, and at the same time, pen an apologia for their favorite intersectional politician.

Worn out by what they see as entrenched dysfunction and lack of focus, key West Wing aides have largely thrown up their hands at Vice President Kamala Harris and her staff -- deciding there simply isn't time to deal with them right now, especially at a moment when President Joe Biden faces quickly multiplying legislative and political concerns.

The exasperation runs both ways. Interviews with nearly three dozen former and current Harris aides, administration officials, Democratic operatives, donors and outside advisers -- who spoke extensively to CNN -- reveal a complex reality inside the White House. Many in the vice president's circle fume that she's not being adequately prepared or positioned, and instead is being sidelined. The vice president herself has told several confidants she feels constrained in what she's able to do politically. And those around her remain wary of even hinting at future political ambitions, with Biden's team highly attuned to signs of disloyalty, particularly from the vice president.

She's a heartbeat away from the presidency now. She could be just a year away from launching a presidential campaign of her own, given doubts throughout the political world that Biden will actually go through with a reelection bid in 2024, something he's pledged to do publicly and privately. Or she'll be a critical validator in three years for a President trying to get the country to reelect him to serve until he's 86.

Comment: Harris was already a creature of the San Francisco version of the Beltway. She's trying to expand her range, but having all sorts of trouble in the Big Pond.

Welcome to the New Economy

New Economy
© Corbett Report
We are plunging headlong into the greatest economic transition in history. We don't have to speculate about that, either. Back in 2015, Christina Figueres — at that time the UN's top climate change official — straight up told us that this was the end goal of the Great Resetters and their climate change cult:
"This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model, for the first time in human history. This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally — within a defined period of time — [attempting] to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the industrial revolution."
Other than Patrick Wood (and The Corbett Report, of course), few noted or wondered at these words. Surely it was just more hot air from the bumbling bloviators at climate alarmism headquarters, right?

Fast forward to 2021 and we can listen to Prince Charles repeating this threat to transform the global economy in even stronger terms. Pivoting from the COVID scaremongering to climate scaremongering (exactly as predicted), His Royal Lowness warned that the "existential threat" of climate change would require that countries not only transform their economies but put themselves on a "war-like footing" and mount a "military-style campaign" against ManBearPig:
"Here we need a vast military-style campaign to marshal the strength of the global private sector. With trillions at its disposal, far beyond global GDP and with the greatest respect beyond even the governments of the world's leaders, it offers the only real prospect of achieving fundamental economic transition."
I know people would like to close their eyes, let the normalcy bias kick in, and pretend that these are just empty rhetorical statements. It's true: Christina Figueres and Prince Charles, individually, run nothing. The world does not run on their pronouncements. But for the last several years, and with increasing intensity in recent months, the people who do control the world of international finance have begun constructing the web of organizations, instruments and mechanisms for accomplishing this "fundamental economic transition."

And, sadly, not one person in a thousand is paying attention to this complete overhaul of international finance. Let's rectify that right now, shall we?

Crime against humanity: Israel set to begin vaccinating children aged 5-11 next week

A girl, 6, receives the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children 5 to 11 at Lurie Children's hospital in Chicago, November 5, 2021.
Israel will be ready to begin vaccinating children aged 5-11 against the coronavirus at the beginning of next week, after the special vaccine doses for that age group arrive later this week, Hebrew media reported Sunday.

The children's Pfizer-BioNTech shots, each just one-third the size of the adult doses, are scheduled to arrive Wednesday, or at the latest Thursday, according to reports.

In the coming days, medical teams will receive instructions on administering the doses, Channel 12 news reported.

US, Israel join forces to 'fight ransomware attacks' (which mostly come from their own countries)

Wally Adeyemo
Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo speaks during a news conference over ransomware cyberattacks, at the Department of Justice, in Washington, D.C. last week.
The U.S. Treasury Department said on Sunday it entered a partnership with Israel to combat ransomware.

Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo met with Israeli Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Director General of the National Cyber Directorate Yigal Unna in Israel on Sunday to establish a bilateral partnership, the department said in a statement

The announcement follows a virtual meeting aimed at tackling ransomware, which was held at the White House in October with the European Union and more than 30 countries, including Israel.

Comment: What this likely means is that the U.S. will be working more closely with the Israelis in the development of each country's respective CBDC. Which makes the ransomware attacks highly convenient for these countries, and others, who've needed a justifiable pretext for rolling out a technology that will give central bankers absolute control over people's money and, by extension, the people themselves.

RT reports:
The Israeli government has recently attempted to distance itself from the country's NSO Group, which was found to be providing spy technology to foreign state customers in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and India, among others. Spyware created by the group has been detected on the devices of journalists and human rights activists around the world, and was even reportedly used to spy on French President Emmanuel Macron.

Earlier this month, Israeli foreign minister Yair Lapid argued in a press conference that NSO Group was "a private company" and "not a governmental project," and therefore had "nothing to do with the policies of the Israeli government."

The company, however, was given permission by the Israeli government to sell its services to customers in Saudi Arabia.

NSO Group and another Israeli spyware company, Candiru, were added to a US trade blacklist this month, with the US government ruling that such firms' technology was used "maliciously" to target "government officials, journalists, businesspeople, artists, activists, academics, and embassy workers."
Putin has been calling for real, multi-lateral cyber-security cooperation for a decade now, but he's ignored while these two, thick as thieves in holding companies and countries to ransom, continue their plundering ways. Expect more critical systems to 'mysteriously go offline' in the coming weeks and months...

Green agenda: Now the organized takedown of global fertilizer supply by misled governments?

barren countryside
The global energy shortages which have driven prices for coal, oil and natural gas to explosive highs in the last months are a predictable consequence of the mad pursuit of "Zero Carbon" economic policies that have seen foolish governments subsidize a growing share of electricity from unreliable solar and wind generation. One consequence has been a five-fold rise in the price of natural gas or methane across the globe. That extends from China to the EU, USA and beyond. A follow-on consequence of that natural gas shortage and price explosion is a growing crisis in world agriculture fertilizer production. This may all be no accident. It fits the WEF Great Reset Agenda of UN 2030.

Ammonia-based fertilizers made from nitrogen (most of our air, so never in shortage) and natural gas or methane (CH4) make up almost 70% of all fertilizers used to support major agriculture crops such as wheat, corn, rice and even coffee. As natural gas prices have soared by anywhere from 300% to 500% over the past months, this has had a devastating impact on world fertilizer production where some 80% of the cost of making ammonia fertilizers is due to natural gas.
