Puppet Masters
Watching Biden speak on Thursday evening was slightly surreal, as the main points of his address were already leaked to the press beforehand. Ordering all states to make every adult American eligible for the vaccine by May 1? So much for following the 'science', defined as obeying the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), responsible for the current priority schedule that's about to change by political decree.
His promise of a website that will help everyone find a vaccination location would sound a lot more, well, promising, were it not coming from the same people that gave America the Healthcare.gov fiasco. At least Biden's speechwriters believe in recycling, as evident by the 'darkness and light' theme from his convention speech, as well as the 'man from Scranton who feels the pain of you and your family' shtick he has become very practiced at.
There was a lot of that kind of emotional manipulation in the speech, lamenting both the "loss of life and loss of living for all of us" - meaning all the things Americans missed during the lockdowns. Notably absent, however, was who was responsible for those lockdowns. Biden waxed sorrowful about missed graduations and children set back by a year out of school... but who's still keeping the schools closed, Joe?
A former senior official from Israel's Aerospace Industries claims to have first-hand knowledge of the 15-page long legal contract between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara, writes The Times of Israel.
In a video interview, posted on the internet, Arzi says he was allowed to read clauses of the contract in 1999, during Netanyahu's first stint as prime minister, by the Prime Minister's lawyer and cousin David Shimron.
The legal contract signed by the couple, he says, grants Sara Netanyahu (Sara Ben-Artzi prior to her marriage) far-reaching control over their life. Accordingly, she is reportedly allowed to sign off on appointments of the heads of Mossad intelligence agency, Shin Bet domestic security service, and the Israeli military.
In line with the contract, according to Arzi, the prime minister vows not to take any overnight trip without taking along his wife, by profession an educational and career psychologist. "She can take part in all the most secret meetings, even though she does not have security clearance. That jumped out at me," Arzi said in the video, part of an interview in Hebrew with journalist Dan Raviv.
"She authorises the following appointments: the head of the Mossad, the head of the Shin Bet and the IDF chief of staff. And that is in writing, she has to give the authorization in writing, if not, it is a violation of the contract...violation of the contract would result in Benjamin Netanyahu 'forfeiting all their property to her.'"
Comment: Israeli politics are not clear cut nor straight forward indicating a shady composite of optics, backroom loyalties, lies and leverage. Deals come with strings.
An Israeli billionaire businessman has accused Mossad director Yossi Cohen of pledging allegiance to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara in exchange for his 2013 promotion to the role of national security advisor, Israeli media report, citing police testimony.
Cohen's lobbying was reportedly conveyed to police by Arnon Milchan -an Israeli film producer who resides in Hollywood. Police accuse Milchan of giving Netanyahu bribes in exchange for tax exemption legislation that would benefit the billionaire.
Milchan is said to have been contacted by Cohen in 2013, while the latter was working as a Mossad official, with Cohen alleged to have asked the billionaire to speak to Netanyahu about considering him for the role of chief of Israel's National Security Council. Milchan reportedly told Cohen that the Netanyahus "appreciate loyalty", with Cohen allegedly promising to provide such loyalty.
Milchan reportedly also emphasised to Cohen the importance Sara Netanyahu placed on personal loyalty, with Cohen said to have asked regularly what the Israeli first lady thought of him as part of an effort to be seen in a positive light by the powerful family. A statement on behalf of Sara Netanyahu indicated that she "rejects the blatant lie told time and time again" that "she somehow has anything to do with nominations in any way".
Cohen is seen to be one of the Netanyahu family's "closest confidants", with media describing him as the prime minister's "shadow warrior" in a number of diplomatic and military campaigns.
Last year, a senior advisor to Defence Minister Benny Gantz told a newspaper that Cohen is the strongest candidate to succeed Netanyahu as head of the Likud Party, saying he has the right combination of "charm and cruelty" to do so.

Damage is seen on Iranian-owned Sabiti oil tanker sailing in the Red Sea, October 13, 2019.
Israel has targeted at least 12 ships bound for Syria, most of them transporting Iranian oil, with mines and other weapons, according to a Thursday report.
The attacks started in late 2019 and targeted both Iranian vessels, and other ships with Iranian cargo, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing "US and regional officials."
Some of the Israeli strikes, which took place in the Red Sea and other areas, targeted Iran-linked weapons shipments, the report said.
The attacks did not sink the tankers, but forced at least two of the vessels to return to port in Iran.
Comment: More from the Wall Street Journal article:
Damascus has said disruptions of Iranian oil imports are causing shortages for Syrians. Syria and Iran have denied funding terrorism and say their alliance is aimed at countering such crime.
The disclosure of the Israeli campaign at sea marks a new dimension in its campaign to counter Iran's military and economic entrenchment and its support of allied groups in the region. Since 2018, Israel has conducted hundreds of airstrikes, mostly in Syria, to rout Iranian-backed groups, weapons and influence across the region.
The disclosure also comes amid escalating tensions in the region and as the Biden administration considers its approach to confront Iran. The administration has said it wants to return to the 2015 international agreement on Iran's nuclear program, but progress has stalled over demands by each side for concessions by the other.

Experts say the string of attacks against Iranian tankers has stemmed from perceived inaction by the international community, particularly after Iran broke a promise not to deliver oil to Syria from a seized tanker.
Mark Dubowitz, chief executive of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a think tank that opposes the Iran deal and urges a hard line against Tehran, said Israel and the U.S. have long set their sights on Iranian oil revenue.
"Israel stepped up the game beyond sanctions to sabotage," he said. "The Red Sea sabotage is keeping with a broader economic warfare campaign."
Among the dozen attacks on ships carrying Iranian oil are three such strikes in 2019, according to a shipping professional. Ships used by the Islamic Republic were targeted six times in 2020, according to a second shipping professional, in Tehran.
The second professional said Tehran has kept quiet on the attacks. "We are trying to keep a low profile," he said. "It would look like a sign of weakness" if Iran complained and failed to react with a military response, he said.
In an episode last month, suspected Israeli operatives attached a limpet mine to attack an Iranian vessel as it anchored near Lebanon to deliver Iran oil to Syria, according to the first shipping professional. Israel's military declined to comment on the incident.
Limpet mines are typically attached secretly to the hull of ships in port and detonated later, blowing holes in the sides of the vessels.

President Joe Biden delivers remarks in the East Room of the White House.
President Joe Biden on Friday restored an Obama-era calculation on the economic cost of greenhouse gases, a step that will make it easier for his agencies to approve aggressive actions to confront climate change.
But the administration stopped short, for now, of boosting the cost figure to higher levels that economists and climate scientists say are justified by new research.
The interim figure — $51 for every ton of carbon released into the atmosphere — is well above the $8 cost used under former President Donald Trump, who declined to factor the global impacts of climate pollution into his calculation. It's on par with a price based on analyses undertaken between 2010 and 2016 under former President Barack Obama, whose administration was first to calculate the figure known as the social cost of carbon.
The price point is temporary. A new Interagency Working Group on the Social Cost of Greenhouse Gases is required to issue a final number by January.

As half the country expressed concerns over the mental fitness of Joe Biden, it has emerged that Vice President Kamala Harris has yet again taken on duties that the President should be fulfilling, after speaking to another foreign leader this week.
Reports detail how Harris spoke with the prime minister of Norway, Erna Solberg, while Biden wandered aimlessly around a hardware store barely registering where he was.
"The Vice President thanked the Prime Minister for Norway's close security partnership with the United States and generous contributions to development and health security efforts around the world," a White House statement notes.
Comment: Gee -- one would think that world leaders - and Harris herself - are being prepped to accept her taking over the role of president at some point in the not-so-distant-future...
First, the Ukrainian government and parliament have, for all practical purposes, declared the Minsk Agreements as dead. Truth be told, these agreements were stillborn, but as long as everybody pretended that there was still a chance for some kind of negotiated solution, they served as a "war retardant". Now that this retardant has been removed, the situation becomes far more explosive than before.
The issue of the Minsk Agreements brought to the fore the truly breathtaking hypocrisy of the West: even though Russia never was a party of these agreements (Russia signed them as a guarantor, not as a party), the West chose to blame Russia for "not implementing" these agreements, that in spite of the fact that everybody knew that it was the Ukraine which, for fear of the various Neonazis movements, simply could not implement these agreements. This kind of "in your face" hypocrisy by the West had a tremendous impact on the internal Russian political scene which, in turn, greatly strengthened the position of those in Russia who never believed that a negotiated solution was possible in the first place. In that sense, these agreements represented a major victory for the Kremlin as it forced the West to show the full depth of its moral depravity.
Soon after the exercise, the Charles de Gaulle carrier went to the Persian Gulf. Italy, which participated in the Dynamic Manta with ships and submarines, was the entire exercise "host nation": Italy made the port of Catania (Sicily) and the Navy helicopter station (also in Catania) available to the participating forces, the Sigonella air station (the largest US / NATO base in the Mediterranean) and Augusta (both in Sicily) the logistics base for supplies. The purpose of the exercise was the hunt for Russian submarines in the Mediterranean that, according to NATO, would threaten Europe.
Comment: As the above demonstrates - and suggests going forward - we can quite probably look forward to more belligerent rhetoric and aggressive provocations against Russa from Biden-bolstered NATO and its war-mongering flunkies in Europe. And if they continue in this vein, it will not end well.

Interview given by His Excellency Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò To "Deutsche Wirtschaftsnachrichten"[1]
Deutsche Wirtschaftsnachrichten: Your Excellency, how are you personally living the crisis of the Corona virus?
Archbishop C. M. Viganò: My age, my status as Archbishop, and my habit of a withdrawn life are perhaps not representative of what the majority of people are undergoing; nevertheless, for a year now I myself have been unable to travel, to visit people who need a word of comfort. In the presence of a true pandemic I would have no problem accepting willingly the decisions of the civil and ecclesiastical authorities, because I would recognize their desire to protect people from contagion. But in order for there to be a pandemic, it requires first of all isolating the virus; it requires that the virus is serious and that it is not possible to cure it promptly; it requires that the victims of the virus represent a large segment of the population. We know instead that SARS-CoV-2 was never isolated but only sequenced[2]; that it is able to be cured over time, using available treatments, and that instead the WHO and local health officials have boycotted such treatments by imposing absurd protocols and experimental vaccines; that the number of deceased people in 2020 is absolutely in line with the median number of deceased from the preceding years[3]. These data are now admitted by the scientific community, even though the media remain conspiratorially silent about them.
What we have witnessed is a plan that is not at all scientific, and that ought to arouse universal indignation. We know, by the admission of those involved, that this pseudo-pandemic was planned for years[4], primarily by weakening national health systems and pandemic plans[5].We know that a very specific script was followed that was conceived in order to give the same response in every country and to streamline diagnoses, hospitalizations, treatments, and above all containment measures and the information being given to citizens on the global level. There is a directorate that continues to manage COVID-19 with the single purpose of forcibly imposing limitations on natural liberties, constitutional rights, free enterprise and work.
Comment: Very few are as candid and informed as the Archbishop! A Must Read!
Before people think that I am writing this article motivated purely by schadenfreude as I watch loyalists getting mugged by the epiphany of the latest neoliberal stooge in the White House, let me admit that I too once was a Kool-Aid guzzling Democrat who unflinchingly believed in Barack Obama. Not only did I travel to more than 16 states as an unpaid volunteer working directly for his campaign, not only did I register thousands of voters on his behalf and raised thousands of dollars for his campaign, I also wrote a speech idea that was incorporated into Obama's South Carolina primary victory speech in 2008. In fact, his closing lines were the words that I wrote a day before the decisive contest in the Palmetto state.

Gilad Erdan with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has previously targeted the BDS movement and is now seeking to break up Palestinian and Black solidarity.
Ostensibly, he learned about Jim Crow discrimination and ongoing racism. Yet he understood so little that he rejected any comparison between American racism and segregation and Israel's denial of equal rights to Palestinian citizens and military rule over Palestinians in the occupied territories.
The undertaking was mainly about optics.

Comment: At least, in the past, Americans were able to tell the carrots from the sticks. Now it's all shtick.
