An alleged Israeli agent wanted in connection with the killing of a Hamas leader in Dubai has been arrested in Poland.

A man using the name of Uri Brodsky is suspected of having supplied a fake German passport to a member of the Mossad assassin squad that was said to responsible for the slaying of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in January.

German authorities issued a European-wide arrest warrant and he was picked up by Polish authorities earlier this week, said a spokesperson for the German federal prosecutor's office which is seeking his extradition.

The arrest is the first in European connection with the murder of al-Mabhouh, who was injected with powerful sedatives and then suffocated with a pillow by assassins in the Al Bustan Rotana hotel on January 19.

US officials reacted angrily today at the inclusion of Israel's nuclear arsenal as a topic of discussion for the IAEA meeting, insisting that it was "untimely and uncalled for."

The meeting is the first IAEA meeting to oficially mention Israel since 1991, and included several Arab nations urging Israel to join the nuclear non-proliferation treaty (NPT). Israel has repeatedly and angrily refused to be a part of the treaty or to submit its arsenal to any international oversight.

The discussion led to a pointed exchange between US and Iranian delegates, ending with US envoy Glyn Davies claiming that the inclusion of Israel's nuclear weapons as a topic of discussion was a plot by Iran to "take the heat off" US pressure against their civilian nuclear program.

Ironically, many UFO researchers avoid 9/11 research for the selfsame reason.

Our approach is radically different. The mainstream media rarely cover 9/11 Truth sincerely. Neither do they cover UFOs without a tone of ridicule. And yet in both cases, where there is smoke, there is fire. 9/11 is a real issue, a real conspiracy, as is the reality of UFOs. SOTT devotes itself to covering the truth no matter where it lies. As we demonstrate in our monthly Connecting the Dots series, SOTT asserts the reality that consciousness and matter are inextricably linked, that individuals, events, and realities are all connected in ways our present science can only begin to fathom.

Of course, this approach inevitably leads to accusations of being a "cult", another defamatory label applied to SOTT in responses to our publication of Rousseau's paper. One comment links to this ridiculous thread at truthaction.org. Our research stands on its own, which is the truth that ad hominem attacks are designed to subvert.

The same above commentator finds fault in our position on the research of Jim Hoffman, one of whose articles was referenced in Rousseau's study. Many have accused SOTT of ad hominem attacks for our views on COINTELPRO in the 9/11 Truth Movement, such as Daniel Hopsicker, Mike Ruppert, Christopher Bollyn, and Jim Hoffman. However, such statements are not ad hominem attacks. We base our conclusions on the validity of others' research in a field that has, by definition, a high probability of being infiltrated by government agents. Some of their research may very well be sound (and often is, as all good disinformation contains seeds of truth), but other lines of research may betray an important vectoring of information away from areas where critical research may prove too "sensitive". One such area is the Pentagon Strike.

Joe Quinn's analysis of Hoffman's position on Flight 77 and the Pentagon is still relevant. And as David Ray Griffin, arguably one of the most respected 9/11 researchers, wrote in his recent book, The New Pearl Harbor Revisited, "the case against the official account of Flight 77 and the Pentagon has become considerably stronger since the publication of NPH [The New Pearl Harbor, 2004].

Since the original article was written, Craig Ranke and Aldo Marquis of Citizen Investigation Team have investigated many of the claims by eyewitnesses to the Pentagon strike. Along with a paper recently published by Pilots for 911 Truth, they have shown conclusively that the flight path suggested by the damaged light poles and generator trailer was physically impossible.

Another reason for States to own their own banks

While individuals, businesses and governments suffer from a credit crisis created on Wall Street, the banks responsible for the crisis are tapping into nearly-interest-free credit lines and using the money to speculate or to make commercial loans at much higher rates. By forming their own banks, states too can tap into very low interest rates, and can buffer themselves from another Lehman-style credit collapse.

Keeping interest rates low is considered the first line of defense for central banks bent on easing the credit crisis and getting banks to lend again. The Federal Reserve's target for the federal funds rate -- the overnight interest rate that banks charge each other - has been kept at a rock-bottom 0% to 0.25% ever since December 2008.

A growing number of economists now think it could stay there well into 2011 or even 2012, prompted by fears that a spreading debt crisis in Europe could hurt a budding U.S. recovery.

Three German-built Israeli submarines equipped with nuclear cruise missiles are to be deployed in the Gulf near the Iranian coastline.

The first has been sent in response to Israeli fears that ballistic missiles developed by Iran, Syria and Hezbollah, a political and military organisation in Lebanon, could hit sites in Israel, including air bases and missile launchers.

The submarines of Flotilla 7 - Dolphin, Tekuma and Leviathan - have visited the Gulf before. But the decision has now been taken to ensure a permanent presence of at least one of the vessels.

The flotilla's commander, identified only as "Colonel O", told an Israeli newspaper: "We are an underwater assault force. We're operating deep and far, very far, from our borders."

Hours before its arrival, the foreign minister lashes out at the Gaza flotilla. Avigdor Lieberman said Friday afternoon that "the flotilla is an attempt at violent propaganda against Israel, and Israel will not allow a violation of its sovereignty at sea, in the air, or on land."

Lieberman, who spoke during a visit to the Forgein Ministry's situation room, added, "There is no humanitarian crisis in Gaza, and despite the Hamas leadership's war crimes and rocket fire, Israel is conducting itself in the most humanitarian manner, and is allowing the entrance of thousands of tons of food and equipment to Gaza."

The Arab Organization for Human Rights (AOHR) said on Saturday that Israel's intelligence agency Mossad is interrogating Arab prisoners in Iraqi jails.

"I received calls from Jordanian prisoners at Iraqi jails and they informed us that Mossad is interrogating them and other Arab prisoners in jails in Iraq," Abdul Karim Shreideh, head of the prisoners and detention centers committee at AOHR, said in a press conference in the Jordanian capital of Amman Saturday.

"The prisoners said Mossad gives them the option to work with the agency as their agents and thus be able to leave the prisons or remain in jail," Shreideh told reporters at the conference held to launch the AOHR's annual report on situation of human rights in Jordan in 2009.

According to the organization, there are 33 Jordanians jailed in Iraq and thousands of Arab prisoners in Iraqi jails.

In the press conference, the AOHR President Hani Dahleh urged the Jordanian government to intensify steps to secure the release of Jordanians jailed abroad.

A Chinese employee of Foxconn Technology Group jumped from a building to his death Tuesday, state-run media said, in the 10th suicide this year at the world's largest contract maker of electronics, such as the iPod, Dell computers and Nokia phones.

Police said Li Hai, 19, killed himself after working at the plant for only 42 days, the official Xinhua News Agency reported. Foxconn did not immediately comment on the death.

The suicide is the ninth at Foxconn's massive plant in the southern city of Shenzhen, which employs more than 300,000 people. Two other workers have tried to kill themselves by jumping from buildings in Shenzhen but they survived. Another suicide occurred at a smaller plant in northern Hebei province in January.

Labor activists say the string of suicides back up their long-standing allegations that workers toil in terrible conditions at Foxconn.

They claim shifts are long, the assembly line moves too fast and managers enforce military-style discipline on the work force.

As BP withholds information on impact of massive oil spill, Coast Guard says that 'embedded' media have been allowed to cover response effort

As oil from the massive BP spill in the Gulf of Mexico approached the US coastline, a CBS News crew was threatened by the US Coast Guard with arrest if they attempted to film a beach in South Pass, Louisiana.

"When we tried to reach the beach ... a boat of BP contractors with two Coast Guard officers on board told us to turn around under threat of arrest," CBS's Kelly Cobiella reported on Tuesday.
