"Daesh [ISIS] threatens our way of life and security...We have plans to act militarily against them in the coming days. You will see. We should all stand together against this danger," Turkish Foreign Minister Feridun Sinirlioğlu said during a conference on the future of the Middle East, held in Erbil in northern Iraq's Kurdish region.
The foreign minister went on to state that Turkey will continue to support Iraq and the Iraqi Kurdish region in its fight against Islamic State and other terror groups.
The deployment of the US Army 2nd Cavalry Regiment from Germany to Hungary that was intended to scare Russia was a joke and it wouldn't help in a real-life fighting scenario, said Macgregor, who also holds a Ph.D. in international relations from the US Military Academy at West Point.
This Stryker parade [the line of US military vehicles that drove from Germany to Hungary] won't fool anyone in Moscow," Macgregor said, adding that perhaps the Russians may not know how to do certain things well, but when it comes to fighting wars they're second to none.
Comment: Is the U.S. military that bad? Even if it isn't, the Pentagon wants the American people to buy into the idea that more military funding is needed, since after all, the adversary is resourceful and dangerous. To get on board, the populace should accept that austerity is necessary in the form of deteriorating domestic infrastructure and social problems, in order for the government to protect us.
France conducted its first airstrikes in Syria in late September, as part of a US-led international coalition that has been targeting ISIL positions in Syria and Iraq.
"A decision has been made to deploy a naval task force led by the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier to take part in operations against the Islamic State," the office said in a statement.
In October, French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said that the French Air Force had carried out airstrikes on an ISIL training camp, adding that "it is not the first time, it is not the last time," when French aircraft had bombed the terrorists in Syria.
Comment: "Me too, me too!" France seems to be carrying on 'fighting' terrorists as if not realizing everything has changed when Russia started pounding ISIL in Syria. Or is there some other reason for France to send a naval task force?
The New Zealand authorities say the agreement will continue to undergo legal review.

The TPP, headed by the US and including Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, and Vietnam, has been widely criticized for being surrounded with secrecy and reached behind closed doors.
"The double standard that we have been judging Russia with, and basing our policy on that double standard, has caused us great harm," Rohrabacher said at a hearing of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs on Wednesday morning. "Had we been working with the Russians all along in good faith, I believe the situation in the Middle East would have been totally different, and better, more stable."
The California lawmaker took exception to Russia-bashing by his colleagues, as well as Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland and her colleague Anne Patterson, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs. Nuland and Patterson were at the House committee hearing to brief lawmakers on US policies in the wake of Russia's intervention in Syria against Islamic State militants.
Comment: This is the second US politician who has gone on record denouncing US foreign policy in Syria and Russia. Is there a shift occurring where even those working within the US government are standing up against the lies and brutality of the American Empire?

The army troops also killed and injured a group of terrorists from the al-Nusra Front and other affiliated groups in the villages of Berneh, Tal Haddiyeh, Doulamah and Khan Touman in the Southwestern countryside of Aleppo. Tens of the militants' machinegun-equipped vehicles were also destroyed. The army, backed up by the Syrian airstrikes, destroyed positions of Takfiri terrorists in the neighborhoods of al-Rashideen 4, al- Sheikh Khuder, Salah Eddin, al-sheikh Said and Bustan al-Qaser.
Meanwhile, the Syrian air raids destroyed terrorists' positions in al-Ameriyeh village in the Southeastern countryside of Aleppo. Earlier reports said the Syrian air raids hit the headquarters and positions of ISIL terrorists in the villages of Rasem al-Abed, Kwairis Gharbi and Kaskis to the East of the Thermal Station, killing and injuring scores of the terrorists and destroying their vehicles and equipment.
The agreement, which already was supposed to have been signed this July, includes a fixed order of 154 aircraft, a definite work share commitment, and a detailed order of the number of single- versus double-seat PMF (aka Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft) fighter planes. According to the draft agreement, the aircraft will be built in India, but all of the components will be manufactured in Russia.

Comment: With Russia taking the lead, a real war on terror is now being fought in the Middle East. See:
Comment: After having first-hand experience of the US' duplicitous aggression in Ukraine, it must have become very obvious to the Russians what was at stake if they tried to remain 'cooperative' with these snakes in suits.
Nearly one year has passed since a US-led coalition launched airstrikes against the Islamic State (ISIL) terrorist group, and still there no results.
Recently, Russian leader Vladimir Putin called for Iran, Egypt, Jordan, the UAE and Qatar to cooperate and participate in the talks over the Syrian problem.
Comment: While Russian influence is radically changing the Middle East, things are afoot in Europe as well. Also see:
Berlin is "testing the waters before making a decision on the future of Germany's relationship with Russia," according to an article published on the website of an American intelligence agency Stratfor (also known as Strategic Forecasting and widely known as the "shadow CIA") following the meeting between President Putin and German Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel in Moscow on Wednesday.
"Germany sent a signal Wednesday that it is rethinking its relationship with Russia, when Vice Chancellor and Economy Minister Sigmar Gabriel met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow," the article says.
"Berlin is looking for ways to modify or even lift the current punitive measures against Moscow. However, such a decision would probably create friction between Germany and most Central and Eastern European countries, which means that Berlin is still not ready for a formal change of direction," it adds.
The author then gives his reasons why Russia and Germany might be of some interest to each other.
Comment: Perhaps Germany will find it in itself to open the door. Following the US lead has brought nothing but hardship to all the EU countries. Russia is a natural trading partner, eager for business on a mutually respectful basis.

Comment: Has NATO member Turkey changed its tactics against Russia and Syria and begun concentrating on its own terrorist problems? Maybe a cover for Erdogan to 'clean up' Turkey after his election win?
