Iraqi forces wipe-out 80 ISIL terrorists in Mosul and Beiji

Iraqi forces
The Iraqi army and Popular Forces killed tens of ISIL terrorists in the cities of Mosul and Beiji. The Iraqi forces killed 20 ISIL militants in the Western parts of Mosul and 60 others in the Western parts of Beiji, some 250 kilometers North of Baghdad, an Iraqi security source said.

The casualties were inflicted on the terrorist group as Iraqi forces repelled ISIL's attack on al-Sinieh region in the Western parts of Beiji. The Iraqi army and volunteer forces have pressed ahead with their military operations against the Takfiri militants in Anbar Province in the last few weeks, inflicting heavy losses on the terrorists.

Earlier today, the Iraqi Joint Forces Command Center announced that army units backed by the volunteer forces have purged 95 percent of the city of Ramadi in Al-Anbar province of Takfiri terrorists.
"Only five percent of Ramadi has remained to be cleaned of Takfiri terrorists as the army and volunteer forces have cleared most of the city," Spokesman of Iraqi Joint Forces Brigadier General Yahya Rasoul announced.

Comment: Iraq appears to be gaining ground lately against the ISIL forces that have been plaguing the region. The weakening of ISIL's command centers in Syria may play a part, and the Popular Forces led by the Iraqi Hezbollah are taking swift action to expose the United States' financial, intelligence, and logistical support of ISIL while achieving tactical advances on the terror group as well.

Why the Russian diplomatic corps continuously shows up its US counterpart

Kerry

American diplomats getting worked the world over
All too often, US diplomats are little more than campaign finance hustlers, totally ill-equipped to handle their Russian colleagues

I was reading a post on RI today written by the Saker entitled Russia Inflicts Another Massive Defeat on the USA in which he analyzed the dramatic loss US diplomats suffered at the hands of their Russian adversaries on the Vienna Declaration.

While reading it, I was quickly reminded of something I read last year in the wake of the Crimean annexation and the imposition of sanctions against Russia. The piece, entitled Russian Diplomats Are Eating America's Lunch, by James Bruno (himself a former US diplomat), appeared at Politico on April 16, 2014.

Although 18 months old, its content is perfectly relevant today, and in particular, to the contents of the Saker's article detailing how badly the US fared in the Vienna debacle along with a number of other disasters. It is a veritable case study in US diplomatic incompetence.

Comment: The US appears to feel that all you need for 'negotiating' is firepower.

Europe must support Russia in its fight against ISIL, 'no ifs, ands or buts about it'

It's time for Europe to stand up and show support for Russia in its war against terrorism, "no ifs, ands or buts about it," according to Italian journalist Giampaolo Rossi.

In an op-ed published in the online edition of Milan-based daily newspaper il Giornale on Saturday, the journalist suggested that Europeans should admit that at the moment, "the reality is that Moscow, alone, is waging a war against Islamist terrorism." Furthermore, according to Rossi, "Europeans should have no doubts: we must go along with Russia on this issue, no ifs, ands or buts about it."

Commenting on the crash of Russian passenger Flight A321, Rossi noted that if extremists are indeed proven to be responsible for downing the plane, the Western media's analysis on Russia's supposed motivations for intervening in Syria will be completely discredited.

Comment: The truth is out there but will the power elites listen?

Another Buffett-owned oil tanker train derails in Wisconsin one day after Obama kills Keystone XL pipeline

Wisconsin trail derailment
It must be somewhat ironic for the U.S. progressive moment that a day after Obama officially slammed the seal shut on Transcanada's Keystone XL pipeline after a seven year "review" (and days after the company itself withdrew its application, something which the admin ignored just so it could have the final say on the mater), moments ago an oil tanker train derailed north of Alma, Wisconsin along the Mississippi River 80 miles south of Minneapolis, with at least 32 cars off the tracks.

The train belongs to BNSF - a company owned by Warren Buffett, and best known being directly involved in most of the recent oil train accidents. As such, this is the latest accident involving a "safe" Warren Buffett-owned train carrying toxic commodities, in a year where this "safe" Buffett-endorsed medium of transportation has already seen a record number of accidents.

As a reference point, here is a smattering of comparable headlines from just this year: And here is the latest one.

US Air Force goes full retard, blames lack of October ISIS strikes on 'poor weather'

Charlie Brown in rain
On September 30, a Russian general walked into the US embassy in Baghdad and told US diplomats that Moscow would commence air operations in Syria in "one hour."

It would be best, he said, if the US stayed out of the way.

The general was affiliated with the newly created Iraqi intelligence cell staffed by Russia, Syria, and Iran. It was both hilarious and intriguing that Moscow gave such short notice and didn't share any information about who Russia intended to target.

At a base level, it was exceptionally amusing that The Kremlin essentially walked into a US embassy, told the US military to leave the skies above Syria or risk being shot down, and then walked out. But more specifically, the fact that Moscow gave only an hour's notice and did not provide anything in the way of details seemed to underscore Russia and Iran's shared suspicions that the US is backing any number of Sunni extremist groups fighting for control of the country. That is, Moscow didn't want Washington to have the time or the information necessary to warn ISIS or any of the West's other proxy armies.

Unclear 'noise' recorded before A321 crash, still "collecting information," - Egypt's investigators

Russia suspends flights to Egypt due to security concerns after Sinai crash
The Russian A321's black box recorded an unclear noise before crashing in Sinai, the head of Egypt's investigation committee has confirmed. However, spectral analysis is required to determine its nature

The head of the Investigations Committee, Captain Ayman Mokadem, said the nature of debris scatter suggests an in-flight break up, but it is still too early to draw conclusions on the causes of the crash. While both flight data recorders have been found, the investigators are still studying them.

Mokadem confirmed that some "noise" can be heard on the recording right before the crash. He still said its nature is unclear and a spectral analysis will be carried out to identify it.

An international team of investigators are at the scene still "collecting information," he said.

Ominous NATO sculpture.
Whispers in the ear of Russia's permanent representative to NATO, Alexander Grushko, told him that some members of the alliance see the folly of refusing to establish a partnership with Russia to tackle major issues facing global security.

Some NATO members are questioning the decision of the alliance to cast Russia in an adversarial role, rather than cooperate in an effort to tackle the major issues facing global security today, Russia's permanent representative to NATO, Alexander Grushko, reported.
"In many of my unofficial meetings - and this is something that is also testified to in analytical material from experts about NATO - some in NATO question the decision to reject cooperation with Russia in a range of areas which present a common interest."

Kiev howls as Russia's new pipeline spells the end to their gas supply manipulations

Image

In an interview for leading German business newspaper Handelsblatt, Naftohaz CEO Andrei Kobelev complained that Kiev feels "threatened" by Moscow's plans to build the Nord Stream II gas pipeline, adding that he is offended by German companies' decision to participate in the project.

In the interview, published Friday, Kobelev admitted that Ukrainians will not freeze this winter from a lack of Russian gas supplies (Russia renewed deliveries after receiving $234 million in prepayment after a three-month pause), but nonetheless warned that Kiev feels the 'threat emanating from Moscow' over talks surrounding Nord Stream 2, with German companies partially to blame.

The minister proudly explained that 70% of Ukraine's gas is now coming into the country from Europe via reverse transit, adding that it was "part of our strategy for diversification." What the minister did not mention was that most of Ukraine's European supplies actually consist of Russian gas, re-exported back to Ukraine, often at higher prices.

Comment: The only thing Kiev has recently contributed to Russia has been ethnic cleansing directed towards her people, volatile rhetoric, and theft of Russian gas supplies. Yet now they're playing 'stunned' that Russia would cut them out of future gas deals. Unbelievable!

Militants detonated a tunnel under the western gate of the citadel, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, in Syrian Aleppo.

Militants blew up the western entrance to the historic citadel in the city of Aleppo, in northern Syria, a military source told Sputnik on Saturday.

"Today, militants detonated a tunnel under the western gate of the citadel, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The explosion has damaged the western part of the fortress," the source said.
