SOTT Exclusive: 'A few bad apples' - the false paradigm excusing sadistic behavior by police or government officials in positions of authority

NYPD threw people to the ground and tackled them before arresting them, because why not?
I had a particularly disheartening exchange with my cousin the other day on the NSA database Facebook. There's a viral post going around about a traffic stop in Tucson, AZ. An African American man, member of the national guard, was pulled over for having a tail light out. He was armed with a glock on his hip - totally legal - which he informed the officer about. After a rather cordial interaction with the police they let him off with a warning.

My problem with the post was how it ended:
I'm a black man wearing a hoodie and strapped. According to certain social movements, I shouldn't be alive right now because the police are allegedly out to kill minorities.

Maybe...just maybe...that notion is bunk.

Maybe if you treat police officers with respect, they will do the same to you.
The context and timing is always relevant. Concurrently, the nation is processing a vicious attack that occurred in a school, of all places, in South Carolina. Quick summary: a teenage girl checked her cell phone and was then asked to turn it over to her teacher. She refused. Then she was told to go to the principal's office. She also refused, as she had already put away her phone. The teacher was so incensed by her defiance, he called in the vice principal, and again she refused to leave, asking what exactly the problem was. Then the school SRO (short for School Resource Officer Savage Roid-enraged Oppressor) was called in.

Here we go again: EU won't unlock further funding to Greece

The Eurogroup will not unlock a €2 billion tranche of bailout funds to Greece at their meeting in Brussels on Monday, according to Eurogroup chief Jeroen Dijsselbloem.

"The two billion will only be paid out once the institutions give the green light and say that all agreed actions have been carried out and have been implemented. That still has not happened," said Dijsselbloem prior to the meeting.

Comment: Here on SOTT we have been covering the Greek crises and warned we haven't seen the last of it. It is showing signs of rearing up again.

Bad Guys

NATO wants more aggression: Pentagon seeks to deploy more troops to Europe

High-ranking US military officials seek to deploy more troops to Europe on a rotating basis in order to ramp up America's presence there.

According to the Wall Street Journal, new defense measures were proposed over the last weekend at the Reagan National Defense Forum at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. These would allow the US military to maintain multiple brigades in Europe at any given time, significantly exceeding current limits.

The US Army currently maintains two infantry brigades (approximately 7,000 servicemen, total) in Eastern Europe, with one other brigade rotating in and out of Europe on a regular basis.

Comment: Sure looks like NATO and the Pentagon want to start some kind of war to help hide the pending economic collapse and/or celestial intentions.

Paradox: Mush-for-brains Britain puts Russia on par with ISIL as security threat

Russia has been listed as a potential threat to British security, on par with ISIL, according to a preliminary review by the country's National Security Strategy, marking an apparent paradox: two of Britain's major threats are currently in a fight against each other, which only begs the question: which of the threat is the most real?

The new list of potential threats, a key part of the Government's next National Security Strategy, was put together by the British government following a major security review.

It is scheduled to be announced by David Cameron on November 23.

Comment: If you substitute "National Security Threat" with the 'power elite' then it makes more sense of what they are so worried about.

Pass the sick bag! Dick Cheney to be honored with a marble bust in the US Capitol building

dick cheney

Dick Cheney, infamous for his criminal involvement in torture and wars, is a good symbol of American leadership in the 21st Century
No matter the subject you wish to illuminate under the spotlight of scrutiny — whether it be finance, intellect, or even morality — Washington D.C. habitually operates with a deficit. Though at a quick glance it might seem that generally everything on Capitol Hill is in short supply, there is an unquestioned surplus when it comes to warmongers.

Not all brutes are created equal, however, and many of the elected are lukewarm. As dangerous as they are hypocritical, the tepid warmongers will boast about being war-weary and how they stand for the pursuit of peace while addressing the American people. They will simultaneously vote 'yea' on any resolution that results in bloodshed — and they'll do it quicker than you can press play on the song Bombs Over Baghdad on your iPod. These cowardly political snakes choose to ask forgiveness from the dead rather than seek permission from the living.

Comment: It boggles the mind that this freak of nature will be immortalized. Update December 8th, 2015

Russian air force in Syria made 137 sorties over last three days, hitting at 448 infrastructure facilities of Islamic State and other terrorists groups in the country, Russia's Defense Ministry said. "Over the last three days, Russian jets made 137 sorties in the Syrian Arab Republic and destroyed 448 facilities of terrorist infrastructure in the provinces of Aleppo, Damascus, Idlib, Latakia, Raqqa, Hama and Homs," Igor Konashenkov, Defense Ministry official spokesman, is cited by Tass.

In Latakia province, the Russian warplanes struck a mortar position of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group. "A direct hit led to the destruction of four mortars and an ammunition depot," Konashenkov said. More Jabhat al-Nusra facilities were targeted in Hama province, where a terrorist repair shop with armored vehicles inside was destroyed. "An airstrike by a Su-24M bomber destroyed a hangar with four tanks and one APC inside," the Defense Ministry spokesman said.

In Idlib, the Russian military jets leveled a major command center of Jabhat al-Nusra, which coordinated the terrorists' actions in both Idlib and Aleppo provinces. "In the suburbs of Zerba, in the Idlib Province, a large Jabhat al-Nusra command center was destroyed. The facility was established over the course of the last three weeks and it was well camouflaged," Konashenkov said. After the drones carried out reconnaissance, the Su-24 plane struck the facility with a guided KAb-500 bomb, he added.

Comment: Russia is working as fast as possible in Syria to stabilize the region. While the US is covertly arming and supporting terrorists.

Better watch out - Putin's comin' to getchya!

From Russell O'Phobe to all journalists working on Russia-related stories in the media

Dear Friends & Colleagues,

I want to begin this missive by pointing to some of the success stories that we have seen over the past few weeks, before going on to issue what I believe is a necessary warning about some of the challenges that lie ahead.

I must say that it has been particularly pleasing for me personally to see many of the rules I set out for you in my "Primer on the Art of Writing Russian Scare Stories" and in my last letter being followed so judiciously by so many of you. The exercise was clearly valuable and it seems that many of the points I made have been thoroughly imbibed. That is to your credit.

Let me draw your attention to one such example, which I think we can all learn from. The Huffington Post recently ran a wonderful piece entitled "What Would Happen If Russia Cut The Transatlantic Data Cables?" Now that's a great start, is it not? Fear? Check! Disturbing question ungrounded in anything resembling reality? Check! Presupposing that the Russians are so unutterably sinister that they want to shut down the internet? Check! The perfect headline to start a scare story.

Five world leaders offer hope to a torn and bleeding world

5 leaders
© mycatbirdseat.com
Western imperialism, in all of its manifestation, is being challenged by five political leaders, through diplomacy, moral persuasion and public pressure. In recent time, Pope Francis, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Labor Party leader Jeremy Corbyn have raised fundamental questions concerning (1) war and peace in the Middle East and the Caucuses; (2) climate change and the destruction of the environment; (3) economic sanctions, military threats and confrontation; and (4) growing inequalities of class, gender and race.

The New Global Agenda

These five protagonists of a new global agenda differ from past critics from the left both in the style and substance of their politics. The politics of change, reform and peace in the near immediate period has a particular complex, heterodox complexion, which contains traditional conservative and popular components. These leaders have a global audience and major impact on world public opinion - and indirectly and directly on Western politics.

Comment: It will be interesting to see how these five leaders impact the next few months and whether it will make a dent in Western policy and action. Does the imperial US even know the mask is slipping? Will it wise up, recognize a helping hand and change its trajectory, for literally the good of all mankind, or blindly continue down the path to ultimate destruction. It is becoming increasingly clear that even common citizens are the enemy to fascist-leaning Western powers. They forget we, the people, have choices too.
