Kremlin: Asia and Europe want to drop the dollar, but new system won't be easy

More and more countries in Asia and Europe are seeking an alternative to the US dollar as Washington has been undermining trust in what has been the world's main reserve currency over years, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the Rossiya 1 TV channel Sunday.

"All of a sudden, the country, which issues the US dollar, starts making steps which are shattering trust in this reserve currency. More and more countries, not only in the East but also in Europe, start mulling ways to minimize their dependence on the US dollar. They suddenly realize: A. it is possible, B. it should be done, and C. save yourself if you can, it should be done as soon as possible," Peskov said.

Former Ukrainian Minister admits NATO would have "reduced Russia to dust" if it weren't for their nukes

viktor suslov

Viktor Suslov
The former Ukrainian economy minister said that one could "reduce Russia to dust". Political scientist Vladimir Kireev has expressed his opinion on why Ukrainian politicians allow themselves to make such aggressive statements.

Former Ukrainian economy minister Viktor Suslov says it is possible to "reduce Russia to dust" if the country does not have nuclear weapons. The politician made this statement in an interview with channel 112 Ukraine when he talked about the Vostok 2018 maneuvers.

According to the former minister, Russia's military exercises are intended to prevent other countries from having military conflicts with it.

"If Russia were not a nuclear power, everything would have been solved in a much simpler way: NATO would have reduced Russia to dust a long time ago, so they demonstrate their muscles to show that this would hardly stand, at least, today," Suslov said.

Comment: That's quite telling of the sick mind-set of the former minister: The real Ukraine: Americanized, nazi-dominated

Page testimony: FBI had no clue about Trump-Russia collusion when Mueller took over

strzok Page

FBI's Peter Strzok texted Lisa Page suggesting the CIA was "leaking like mad." And he wrote colleagues of his concern the agency was deceiving both the bureau and the public.
A newly reported comment made by former FBI attorney Lisa Page during her May testimony to Congress has revealed a "momentous fact," according to The Hill's John Solomon: after nine months of investigations - which included the use of a well-paid spy to infiltrate the Trump campaign, The FBI had no clue whether there was any collusion between Trumpworld and Russia when the case was handed over to special counsel Robert Mueller.
"It's a reflection of us still not knowing," Page told Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas) when questioned about texts she and Strzok exchanged in May 2017 as Robert Mueller was being named a special prosecutor to take over the Russia investigation.

With that statement, Page acknowledged a momentous fact: After nine months of using some of the most awesome surveillance powers afforded to U.S. intelligence, the FBI still had not made a case connecting Trump or his campaign to Russia's election meddling.

Page opined further, acknowledging "it still existed in the scope of possibility that there would be literally nothing" to connect Trump and Russia, no matter what Mueller or the FBI did. -The Hill

US and NATO ups warships in Mediterranean as Russia routs terrorists from Syria

russia ship
Pentagon spokesman Eric Pahon told German Business news:
"The assets of the 6th US fleet are well positioned to respond to a variety of critical missions in the eastern Mediterranean. We do so in accordance with international law and practice to maintain naval presence across the seas, avert aggression, and promote regional peace and stability. However, the Russian navy has constantly built up a large contingent of warships near Syria, with more than a dozen ships, many of which are equipped with KALIBR missiles. The Russians claimed that this was a military exercise they had declared completed. So the question remains Why is the presence of the Russian navy still increasing in the region? Is there another reason? The United States and its allies are deeply concerned about the terrible humanitarian crisis that would ensue if the Syrian regime, with Russian support, launched an attack on the densely populated Idlib province. The Assad regime and its operational supporter, Russia, are fully responsible for the humanitarian consequences of an Idlib offensive. "
The USS Mount Whitney , the flagship of the US Sixth Fleet, sailed for Thessaloniki in Greece.

Furthermore, the USS Carney is currently located in the eastern Mediterranean. She patrols with the "Chevalier Paul". This is announced by the US Naval Forces Europe via Twitter .

Jordan Peterson is our tour guide for the modern world

Jordan Peterson might be today's most influential public intellectual, having achieved that fame in only two years, following a long career as an academic and a practicing clinical psychologist. He burst onto the media scene with a hard stand against forced speech imposed by a law in Canada. Then, he became a symbol of resistance against the wild excesses of postmodern identity politics.

The media have yet to figure this out, but their jeering attacks on him have unleashed a lion.

Comment: Jordan Peterson throws out a welcomed lifeline to reason, sanity and a meaningful way forward.

Lisa Page bombshell: Even before Mueller appointment, FBI couldn't prove Trump-Russia collusion

Lisa Page

Former FBI lawyer Lisa Page leaves the Rayburn House Office Building after a closed doors interview with the House Judiciary and House Oversight and Government Reform committees, Friday, July 13, 2018, on Capitol Hill in Washington.
To date, Lisa Page's infamy has been driven mostly by the anti-Donald Trump text messages she exchanged with fellow FBI agent Peter Strzok as the two engaged in an affair while investigating the president for alleged election collusion with Russia.

Yet, when history judges the former FBI lawyer years from now, her most consequential pronouncement may not have been typed on her bureau-issued Samsung smartphone to her colleague and lover.

Rather, it might be eight simple words she uttered behind closed doors during a congressional interview a few weeks ago.

Google is not an American company

Unless President Trump has finally adopted the royal first-person plural and owns a significant amount of Google stock, it is hard to know what the president meant when he complained on Thursday that the European Union has slapped a $5 billion fine on "one of our great companies."

Because whatever else it may be, Google is not an American company.

"Google" is, more than anything else, a logo and a marketing label; it is also a subsidiary of a holding company called XXVI, which is in turn a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc., a corporation that is also an umbrella for a number of other venture capital and research entities. For another two years, until the deadline imposed by an Irish court expires in 2020, Google or Alphabet or the Money Machine or whatever you want to call it will continue to steal from the rest of us by means of two accounting schemes known as the "Irish Double" and the "Dutch Sandwich."

Georgian ex-minister: Leaked documents indicate a US-funded facility may be a bioweapons lab

Shrouded in mystery, a US-funded medical facility in Georgia could be a cover for a bioweapons lab used for disturbing experiments that banned in the US, a Georgian ex-security minister has claimed. Tbilisi denies the accusations.

The center, which is officially called the R. Lugar Center for Public Health Research, is described as a "brand new facility" tasked with the "prevention of proliferation of technology, pathogens and expertise related to the development of biological weapons" by the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC), an agency of Georgia's Health Ministry. The task is said to be part of a cooperation program between Georgia and the US.

However, Igor Giorgadze, a former state security minister-turned opposition figure, says he recently obtained a trove of leaked documents which might expose some dark secrets at the facility.

Italy blames France for Gaddafi's downfall and migrant crisis

Burning of the image of Muammar Gaddafi.
Since the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, Libya has turned into a transit point, through which 650,000 refugees have already reached Italy from Africa. Sputnik political observer Sergei Gashkov takes a look at the situation in the conflict-ridden North African nation and its impact on Europe.

In Rome, the responsibility for the influx of migrants is laid on France, which persuaded NATO countries to get rid of Gaddafi. As a result, Libya is now torn apart by rival factions and an ongoing conflict between its two governments.

"It is clearly now undeniable that this country (Libya) finds itself in this situation because someone, in 2011, put their own interests ahead of those of the Libyan people and of Europe itself," Italian Defense Minister Elisabetta Trenta wrote on Facebook. "France, from this point of view, is partly to blame," she added. Italian parliamentary speaker Roberto Fico was even more explicit, pointing to "a serious problem that has come from France."

Italy's Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini also chimed in, blaming former French President Nicolas Sarkozy for unleashing the war in Libya and the present government for adding fuel to the flames of the Libyan conflict.

Russian MoD: Chlorine delivered, Idlib militants 'readying false flag attack' in Syrian village

Russian troops Idlib
© thenational.ae
Russia has troops on the ground around Idlib governate.
Militants in Syria's Idlib have transported several canisters containing chlorine to the village of Bsanqul, apparently preparing to stage a false flag chemical attack, the Russian Defense Ministry has said.

The chlorine-filled canisters were delivered by the Al-Qaeda-affiliated militants of Tahrir al Sham, formerly known as Al-Nusra Front, a spokesman of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria, Lieutenant General Vladimir Savchenko, said in a statement Saturday. He added that the latest developments showed that the militants are preparing for a false flag attack that would be used to accuse the Syrian government of using chemical weapons against its people.

This is the latest warning from the Russian military on what it says is a chemical "provocation" in the making. On Wednesday, it said the White Helmets group has shot videos intended to be used in framing the Syrian government. Earlier, the MoD said toxic chemicals had been delivered Idlib and accused the White Helmets of carrying out the delivery.

The US and its allies have so far dismissed the Russian warnings, but said that the government in Damascus might instead be preparing chemical attacks against civilians. Moscow has suggested that the attack might be prepared with the support of Washington, which wants to justify further air strikes against Syria. Those planned strikes are said to be much larger in scale than those launched against the Syrian military by the US, the UK and France in April.
