The hard truth about the migrant caravan: A battle between 'one-world globalism' and 'national sovereignty'

central american migrants rush US border
The Central American migrant caravans may seem like old news, but the narratives offered by the mainstream media clashed with reality sharply one week ago when a particular caravan found itself stopped at the US border in the Mexican city of Tijuana.

There is a lot more to this and other groups, each numbering thousands of people, in their efforts to enter the United States. In a sense the entire battle between "one-world globalism" and "national sovereignty" can be found in the character, actions and the very nature and driving philosophy that has energized these groups of people. This video clip by independent journalist Ami Horowitz is extremely telling.

Be celibate or leave the priesthood, pope tells gay priests

Pope Francis
© REUTERS/Max Rossi/File Photo
Pope Francis leads a special audience with members of a volunteers association from Sardinia island in the Paul VI Hall at the Vatican November 30, 2018.
Men with deep-rooted homosexual tendencies should not be admitted to the Catholic clergy, and it would be better for priests who are actively gay to leave rather than lead a double life, Pope Francis says in a new book.

While he has previously spoken of the need for better screening of candidates for the religious life, his comments suggesting that priests who cannot keep their vows of celibacy should leave are some of his clearest to date.

Francis made the comments in a book-length interview with Spanish priest Fernando Prado called "The Strength of Vocation", in which he discusses the challenges of being a priest or nun today.

Comment: Realistically, if someone takes a vow of chastity, and are able to keep it, there shouldn't really be an issue with their sexuality (pedophilia aside, of course), since they're not acting on it. However, the problems within the Catholic Church with pedophilia and general sexual deviancy shows that many priests are not only unable to prevent themselves from acting on it, but succumb to levels of perversion rare even in general society. Whether its something about the church that leads to this degeneracy, or the church itself attracts these twisted individuals is, at this point, unknown.

European Parliament member Marcel de Graaff: Criticism of migration will become criminal offence

London pro-refugee protest
© AFP/FilePhoto
Demonstrators hold placards as they take part in a pro-refugee rally in central London.
A video of Marcel de Graaff, member of the European Parliament (MEP) while discussing the UN's compact on migration and EU's intention to criminalize hate speech against migrants has been shared and criticized widely on social media.

Shortly before an international congress is scheduled to take place in Marrakech, Morocco on 10 and 11 December, Graaff warned EU citizens that there countries are set in to sign a joint agreement on criminalising hate speech against migrants considering migration as a human right.

In the video, Graaff says that EU countries are set in to sign this legal framework which obligates signing countries to build new legislation on hate speech definition to include criticizing migrants.

Comment: They're not even hiding any pretense of upholding any sort of freedom of speech. Don't like the pathological immigration policy of your government? Say anything about it and you'll go to jail. This is truly astonishing! At this point, how can the EU actually pretend to be anything but a fascist state?

'Perpetual confrontation': MI6 chief lures young Brits into espionage with Russia-bashing

spy mi6
© Instagram / insertpun
The head of MI6, the UK's intelligence service, hopes to recruit a new generation of tech-savvy spies, with a passionate speech urging graduates to protect the homeland against the arch nemesis who subverts the UK way of life.

"The era of the fourth industrial revolution calls for a fourth generation of espionage," Alex Younger will say at St. Andrews University on Monday.
If you want to make a difference and you think you might have what it takes...we hope you will step forward.
To lure young Brits into the spy agency who otherwise might not have seen themselves in MI6, Younger paints an image of a clever arch nemesis - Russia - which can only be stopped with the help of brilliant young minds from all sorts of backgrounds, not just by the snobbish Oxbridge graduates typically associated with the service.

Comment: So what's behind all the anti-Russian propaganda?
"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

- Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials
And so, considering the terminal decline the UK (and most of the Western powers) are undergoing, the enemy 'out there' - whether it be Russia or diesel cars - is needed to justify the failing governments continued existence, to rally the 'troops', and to redirect the anger they're feeling for their deteriorating quality of life onto the establishments chosen strawman. Except that life is becoming so unbearable that the people are beginning to question the governments narrative: And for more, check out SOTT radio's:

Donbass prepares for renewed assault as video shows Ukraine's army buildup at border

The Russian account of the Kerch Strait incident appears more truthful as Ukraine continues to spin its story and mass against Donbass.

Vesti News released a new video showing the preparations the already besieged Donbass region in Ukraine is making for Poroshenko and the NATO embedded forces trying to take the area.

Russia One's evening broadcast indicated that the Russian borders are strongly fortified and ready to face anything Ukraine might throw at it.

The concern here is for a Ukrainian, not a Russian, provocation. This follows from the information in the Kerch Strait incident last Sunday, which detailed that Ukrainian counterintelligence agents directed the sailors on board the Ukrainian ships to not follow proper notification and navigation procedures with regard to the Russian authorities as they entered waters mutually controlled by both Russia and Ukraine.

Comment: Ukraine is so confident in defying peace agreements and antagonising Russia because, for now at least, it thinks it has the full support of the West: And check out SOTT radio's: NewsReal: Donbass Leader Assassinated as Russia Exposes Chemical Plot in Syria

NewsReal: Révolution Jaune? France Revolts Against Macron

France MAcron yellow vests protests
As the gilets jaune movement continues in France, with protests entering their third week, the French government's response has been to hold firm with proposed increases in fuel and other taxes, and to task anti-riot police with beating back protesters in the heart of Paris. While this movement may also peter out like many before it, the scale, intensity and cross-party grassroots support for the 'yellow vests' speaks to the general discontent with corruption in France, and Emmanuel Macron in particular.

This week on NewsReal, Joe & Niall discuss the violent stand-off between elites and working people in France, the 'Ukrainian' Navy's provocation near Russia's new Crimean Bridge, the latest lunacy from the legacy media regarding the Russiagate affair, and some of the antics at this year's G20 Summit.

Paranoid British army issues top-level secret alert to staff about Russian journalist "threat"

Timur Siraziev

The UK Bureau chief of Russian Channel 1, Timur Siraziev.
There seems to be no sign of Russophobia abating in the UK, as the British Army has issued a warning against talking to a Russian journalist who was doing just as many other journalists were: Reporting on a cyberwarfare facility.

The British Army has issued a top-level security alert to all its bases across the UK, warning soldiers that they should by no means engage in any conversations with a certain Russian journalist, should one happen to approach near any military facility. The "official-sensitive" document obtained by the Daily Mail also advised members of the military to call the nearest police department "ASAP" to deal with such a "threat."

Actually referred-to as a 'spy' in the British media, it was in fact the UK Bureau chief of Russian Channel 1 who had been making the report about the 77th Brigade base in November. Timur Siraziev and his cameraman were seen filming near the Berkshire facility where they had presented press credentials. Their access was denied, so they filmed their report outside and left.

If You Murdered a Bunch of People, Mass Murder is Your Single Defining Legacy

george hw bush
Thought experiment:

Think of an acquaintance of yours. Not someone you're particularly close to, just some guy in the cast of extras from the scenery of your life. Now, imagine learning that that guy is a serial murderer, who has been prowling the streets for years stabbing people to death. Imagine he goes his whole life without ever suffering any consequences for murdering all those people, and then when he dies, everyone wants to talk about how great he was and share heartwarming anecdotes about him. If you try to bring up the whole serial killing thing, people react with sputtering outrage that you would dare to speak ill of such a noble and wonderful person.

"Look, I didn't agree with everything he did, but you can't just let one not-so-great thing from a man's life eclipse all the other good things he's accomplished," they protest. "For example, did you know he was a baseball captain at Yale?"

"But... what about all those people he murdered?" you reply.

"God, why can't you just pay respect to a great man in our time of mourning??" they shout in exasperation.

Ratings-obssessed US media go partisan and divide country

Obama press conference
© Reuters / Jonathan Ernst
Journalists wait for US President Barack Obama to start his annual year-end news conference in 2016.
Lamenting about their political opponents living in a media bubble has become a routine on either side of the isle in the US. But as this self-isolation continues to divide the country, there is little hope for change, RT reveals.

Media outlets have become increasingly partisan in the US, pandering to prejudices and biases of their audiences. The phenomenon of a media bubble - when a person can select its information sources to completely shut off undesirable opinions - may have originated online, but now traditional media are eager to serve the same purpose, as long as it benefits their ratings.

Watch a report by RT's Caleb Maupin on how the US fell into the divisive split over what reality is.
