Russian Deputy FM Ryabkov • US Special Envoy Arms Control Marshall Billingslea
The United States and Russia have agreed on a time and place for nuclear arms negotiations this month and invited China, President Donald Trump's arms negotiator says.

"Today agreed with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister [Sergei] Ryabkov on time and place for nuclear arms negotiations in June," U.S. Special Envoy for Arms Control Marshall Billingslea wrote on Twitter on June 8. "China also invited. Will China show and negotiate in good faith?" he added, without providing further details.

There were no immediate comments from Russian officials.

Earlier, Bloomberg quoted an unidentified U.S. State Department official as saying that Ryabkov and Billingslea would meet in Vienna on June 22.

The official didn't rule out that the United States may be willing to extend the New Start nuclear-weapons treaty, if Russia "commits to three-way arms control with China and helps to bring a resistant Beijing to the table," according to Bloomberg.

CEO writes to US Congress calling for 'national dialogue' about use in law enforcement

IBM is pulling out of the facial recognition market and is calling for "a national dialogue" on the technology's use in law enforcement.

The abrupt about-face comes as technology companies are facing increased scrutiny over their contracts with police amid violent crackdowns on peaceful protest across America.

In a public letter to Congress, IBM chief executive, Arvind Krishna, explained the company's decision to back out of the business, and declared an intention "to work with Congress in pursuit of justice and racial equity, focused initially in three key policy areas: police reform, responsible use of technology, and broadening skills and educational opportunities."

Comment: Note that this is a private firm attempting to influence key policy areas within Congress.

The company, Krishna said, "no longer offers general purpose IBM facial recognition or analysis software.

House Dems kneel, unveil police reform bill

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senator Chuck Schumer
Congressional Democrats introduced a large police reform bill on Monday after kneeling for eight minutes and 46 seconds in memory of George Floyd, whose death sparked nationwide protests.

The "Justice in Policing Act of 2020" aims to increase transparency and limit abuses after unrest over Floyd's May 25 death when Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on his neck until he died.

"The martyrdom of George Floyd gave the American experience a moment of national anguish as we grieve for the black Americans killed by police brutality," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said at a press conference.

"In the Senate, Democrats are going to fight like hell to make this a reality," said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

Pelosi said in response to a reporter's question that she does not support abolishing police, a position that's gained momentum among many Democratic politicians following protests, but said she could support "rebalancing some of our funding" so that issues such as mental health would be handled "more directly" rather than by police.

Iran: Spy convicted of helping US kill Qassem Soleimani to be executed

Commander Maj. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, RGQF
An Iranian national convicted of spying for the US and Israel by helping target top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani will be executed, Iran's judiciary said on Tuesday.

Mahmoud Mousavi Majd was convicted of spying on Iran's armed forces, which led to the killing of Soleimani, the head of Iran's elite Quds Force, in a US drone strike in Iraq.

Mahmoud Mousavi Majd was convicted of spying on "especially the Quds Force and on the whereabouts and movements of martyr General Qassem Soleimani" for large sums of money from both Israel's Mossad and the CIA, judiciary spokesman Gholamhossein Esmaili told a televised news conference.

Esmaili offered little information about the convicted man.

The decision immediately raised questions about how Majd would have had access to Soleimani's travel information. The Iranian judiciary spokesman did not say when Majd would be executed, other than that it would be "soon". He also stopped short of directly linking the information allegedly offered by Majd to Soleimani's death.

Comment: Hmmm, is this the Iranian leadership 'tying up loose ends'? Did he know something he shouldn't about US-Iranian collusion against Soleimani?

Incidentally, this comes just hours after Iran returned an American spy to US soil.

Tucker Carlson: Black Lives Matter demand to 'defund the police' is a power grab

TuckerCarlson

The Black Lives Matter movement is insane, AND it has now become a political party, perhaps the most powerful political party in the United States. The effect this movement and its supporters have had on an already weakened and dispirited American populace is dangerous, despite the polled prevalence of common sense.

The "Defund the Police" drive is really a drive to replace the present police force with a new one, one that has partisan alignment, much as such forces in Third World nations have. Tucker analyzes all of this. This report is particularly good because all of the relevant information is in one place.

Rosenstein testifies - and suddenly mainstream media go back to saying this about Russia collusion

Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein testifies before the a Senate Judiciary Committee.
Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein was at the red-hot center of the Robert Mueller probe into the phantom menace of Donald Trump's collusion with the Russians. He testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on June 3.

You may not know that happened. ABC, CBS and NBC ignored it that night. PBS gave the story 55 seconds. NPR gave it four minutes, but those minutes sounded bizarre.

Anchor Mary Louise Kelly said: "May I start with an observation? Does this seem a little out of left field? With everything going on in the country right now, senators are focused today on the Russia investigation?"

Reporter Philip Ewing replied, "The short answer for that is, politics."

Impunity and annexation: The world lets 'Israel have its cake and eat it too'

Benjamin Netanyahu

Netanyahu smirks while visiting the illegal Israeli colony of Mevo’ot Yeriho in the occupied Jordan Valley. February 2020.
Israel enjoys impunity because of a lack of international political will to impose accountability, analysts say.

The annexation of illegal Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank, as well as the strategic and fertile Jordan Valley, could begin as early as July 1, Israel's government says.

While the details of the annexation plan remain vague, recently reinstalled Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated his intention to annex the Jordan Valley while on the campaign trail last year.

Since then, the United States has proposed its own Middle East plan that envisions Israel applying sovereignty to the settlements, illegal under international law, in the occupied West Bank, and Netanyahu has since reaffirmed his pledges.

Many countries, as well as the United Nations and the European Union, have warned against such a move, noting that unilateral annexation would breach international law and would be a devastating blow to the prospects for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Britain's drone programme may be 'jointly liable' for US war crimes, NGO explains

Britain's use of Unmanned Ariel Vehicles (UAVs) or armed drones in secret missions has been confirmed by the MoD. However the nature, location and scope of the missions, along with their legality and possible civilian causalities, remains a complete mystery according to a new report from Drone Wars UK.

The UK and US's drone programmes share infrastructure, manufacturing, intelligence and coordination to such an extent that their two programmes are inextricably linked to each other, according to the latest report from the monitoring group Drone Wars UK. A Joint Enterprise: How the UK and the US co-operate on drone warfare is the product of 18 months investigation by the NGO which also includes responses to freedom of information requests submitted to the UK's Ministry of Defence (MoD) by Drone Wars UK.

Chris Cole, the director and founder of Drone Wars UK, explains to Sputnik that being embedded with the US drone programme including their bombing campaigns may well make Britain culpable in any crimes which are being committed.

The Politically Driven Cult of Mass Hypnosis Has Just Accelerated

mass hypnosis
Over the past several decades Americans have viewed regularly televised dramatic episodes of political theater. The use of the word "episode" is especially appropriate because the dramatic scenes are sequential and continuously broadcasted onto electronic screens. The drama is designed to elicit emotion, foment anger, and unite or divide the nation in order to, ultimately, affect change.

The societal cataclysms we're experiencing now could be naturally occurring - as the result of certain trends like demographics, technology, modernization, education, centralization, economic inequality, political platforms, or even systemic corruption and civilizational decay. On the other hand, it could be the upheavals are directed in consonance with scripts written by an inner circle of powerful people; and in accordance to the Hegelian Dialectic. How citizens view the changes realized by the United States over the last few decades, in particular, will depend upon their interpretations of probabilities and outcomes; or, rather, to the extent they believe in coincidence or conspiracy.

Many believe grand conspiracies are implausible because ambitious schemes so often fail and it's inconceivable that scrupulous whistleblowers would refuse to expose the plans of powerful conspirators. And these objections have a ring of truth... unless, of course, the powerful few have only advanced those who've demonstrated allegiance while shunning, banishing, imprisoning, or "expiring" those who won't fall in line. Perhaps this would explain why the likes of Brennen, Clapper, Comey, and McCabe continue about their book tours as Assange, Manafort, and Stone remain under lock and key.

Rockefeller Foundation's militarized control of the population: The "National Covid-19 Testing Action Plan"

National Covid-19 Testing Action Plan
The Rockefeller Foundation has presented the "National Covid-19 Testing Action Plan", indicating the "pragmatic steps to reopen our workplaces and our communities". However, it is not simply a matter of health measures as it appears from the title.

The Plan - that some of the most prestigious universities have contributed to (Harvard, Yale, Johns Hopkins and others) - prefigures a real hierarchical and militarized social model.

At the top, the "Pandemic Testing Board (PTB), akin to the War Production Board that the United States created in World War II". The Pandemic Testing Board would "consist of leaders from business, government and academia" (government representatives would not in the first row, but finance and economic representatives being listed in order of importance).

This Supreme Council would have the power to decide productions and services with an authority similar to that conferred to the President of the United States in wartime by the Defense Production Act.

The plan calls for 3 million US citizens to be Covid-19 tested weekly, and the number should be raised to 30 million per week within six months. The goal is to achieve the ability to Covid-19 test 30 million people a day, which is to be realized within a year.
