Pelosi Statement following virtual meeting of the House Democratic Caucus Washington, D.C. Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued this statement following a virtual meeting of the House the House Democratic Caucus this afternoon:...and so we wait."Today, the House Democratic Caucus had an hours-long conversation that was sad, moving and patriotic. It was a conversation unlike any other, because it followed an action unlike any other.
It is the hope of Members that the President will immediately resign. But if he does not, I have instructed the Rules Committee to be prepared to move forward with Congressman Jamie Raskin's 25th Amendment legislation and a motion for impeachment.
Accordingly, the House will preserve every option including the 25th Amendment, a motion to impeach or a privileged resolution for impeachment.
With great respect, our deliberations will continue."
Puppet Masters
'Neither the police themselves nor the public that they serve, want virtually every aspect of our behaviour to be the subject of the criminal law...After a long period of asking...the British public, to follow very strict and complex rules to bring coronavirus under control...we will be asking [people] to follow guidance on limiting their social contact, rather than forcing them to do so through legislation'.Alas (as Boris Johnson keeps saying), trust in people doing the right thing voluntarily, rather than under legal obligation, turned out to be short-lived.
Pressure from enforcement agencies played a part. The rule of six? When it was introduced in September, the Home Office said it 'simplifies and strengthens the rules on social gatherings, making them easier to understand and easier for the police to enforce'. The 10pm hospitality sector legal curfew? 'To help police enforce this rule, I'm afraid that means, alas, closing and not just calling for last orders, because simplicity is paramount,' Boris Johnson told MPs.
Comment: Despite all the available data that shows that the lockdown has no effect on spreading the coronavirus, many governments all over the world are still locking down their countries. The lockdowns cant stop the virus, but they can spread panic, hysteria and can put people's health at a much bigger risk than the Covid-19 virus itself.

Instead of calling on Americans to come together, he went on a partisan rant against President Donald Trump and even suggested that the Capitol Police were racist.
Biden said the previous day's riot on Capitol Hill was the result of four years of Trump: "He unleashed an all-out assault on our institutions of our democracy from the outset. And yesterday was but the culmination of that unrelenting attack."
Not only is that claim arguably untrue, but it ignores the left's refusal to accept the results of the 2016 election, the radical tactics of the so-called "Resistance," the pointless impeachment of 2019-20, and the Black Lives Matter riots last year.
If Biden had wanted to heal the nation, he would have offered a hand of friendship to Trump supporters — and he would have acknowledged that the left has also used political violence.
Starting from Monday, drivers will be able to deny services to those who refuse to show and scan their QR codes, the state-run Global Times newspaper reported.
The color-based health QR code system was introduced in Beijing and more than 100 other cities in February to help curb the spread of the coronavirus, which was first reported in China's Wuhan more than a month earlier.
The app automatically generates a code for the user. A 'green' one means they are free roam around the capital, while 'yellow' and 'red' codes call for self-isolation or supervised quarantine.
Comment: These policies are likely coming to a city near you in the West.
When President Donald Trump's supporters forced their way inside the US Capitol on Wednesday, they did not act as a unified force bent on seizing power. Instead they snapped selfies, looted souvenirs, and engaged in petty vandalism. While the rampage ended in tragedy for the protester shot dead by police, the police officer fatally injured, and the three others who suffered "medical emergencies" and died, it was soon snuffed out and Congress returned to work that evening to certify Joe Biden's electoral victory.
Their ringleader even urged them to go home and committed himself to the "seamless" transition of power to Joe Biden. Worst. Coup. Ever.
A former strategist for George W. Bush, John McCain, and John Kasich, John Weaver was in a celebratory mood on Thursday, declaring "America is great again," after Congress formally certified Joe Biden's electoral victory. Though a Republican, Weaver is also a member of the Lincoln Project, a group of disaffected 'Never Trump' Republicans and neoconservatives formed with the sole purpose of defeating the president.
Emboldened by Trump's downfall, and buoyed by the $67 million they raised in the runup to the election, the Lincoln Project began work on a "database" of soon-to-be former Trump staff and officials, with a view to holding them "accountable" for the rest of their professional lives. However, Weaver himself was soon confronted with some alleged skeletons in his own closet.

Last June, the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Antitrust, Commercial, and Administrative Law began an in-depth investigation into four major firms — Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Google. The subcommittee wanted to answer one key question: did Big Tech get big playing by the rules, or does it cheat to stay at the top? After 16 months of hearings, research, and analysis, the panel's findings are out... and the results look really bad for every company involved.
The tech sector does indeed suffer from abuses of "monopoly power," the subcommittee concluded in the mammoth 450-page report (PDF) published late yesterday afternoon.

Aleksei Navalny is in Germany after being flown there for emergency medical care after being poisoned in August , that he, without proof, blames on the Kremlin and Vladimir Putin.
The 44-year-old Kremlin foe warned in the 11-point thread that "this precedent will be exploited by enemies of freedom of speech around the world."
The Trump Era is over after the incumbent announced in the day after Wednesday's storming of the US Capitol that "My focus now turns to ensuring a smooth, orderly and seamless transition of power", which was widely interpreted by friends and foes alike as the tacit concession that he previously promised never to provide a little more than 24 hours prior during his speech at the Save America Rally. At that event, he literally said that "We will never give up. We will never concede, it doesn't happen. You don't concede when there's theft involved", yet completely changed his tune following the day's tumultuous events and after mysteriously "going dark" for over 24 hours, during which time some speculate that he was forced by his enemies in the permanent military, intelligence, and diplomatic bureaucracies ("deep state") to give up the fight.
Betraying His Base
This totally devastated his supporters who elected him primarily for the purpose of executing his chief promise to "drain the swamp" that all of them so deeply despise. They truly believed that he could irreversibly effect significant long-term change to the way that America is run, something which Trump himself also sincerely thought he could do as well, but he ultimately lacked the strength time and again to take the decisive steps that were necessary in order to do so. Thus, he ended up getting swallowed by the same "swamp" that he attempted to drain, which is licking its lips after feasting on the political carcass that he's since become as a result of his capitulation. For as much hope as he inspired in his supporters and the respect that many of them still have for him, most of them are profoundly disappointed that he gave up and didn't go down fighting.
Comment: This dimension to the massive election fraud (and the massive cover-up that has ensued) over the past several weeks - would seem to have international repercussions if Trump intends to continue fighting.

Comment: The Republic of Revenge has spoken. Perhaps we should ask what's the hurry, what's the worry? Declassification? Other parting truths from Trump? He still has leverage. If so, that makes this vicious feeding frenzy for impeachment a grand self-serving distraction. They do it not for you, America, it's all for them.
