Puppet Masters
Not only did the House Intel report clear Trump of any 'collusion' with Russia, it revealed a group of wealthy donors spent $50 million to fund the Trump-Russia investigation.
A group of about 7-10 wealthy donors from California (Silicon Valley) and New York spent $50 million to fund a Trump-Russia investigation conducted by none other than Christopher Steele, Fusion GPS and a former staffer for Dem Senator Dianne Feinstein named Daniel Jones.
Last week General Joseph Votel, commander of CENTCOM - the U.S. military command for the Middle East, was in Israel. It was the first ever visit of a CENTCOM commander to Israel which usually works with the European command EUCOM.
Yesterday former CIA director and now Secretary of State Pompeo visited Israel. A few hours later Israel bombed two ammunition depots in Syria which are supposedly related to Iran. This was a clear attempt to provoke Iran into some reaction.
The Israeli defense minister Lieberman just visited Washington DC and only today came back to Israel.
Now the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahoo loudly announced that he will hold a press conference to present a "huge amount of new and dramatic information on the Iranian nuclear program". He will allege that Iran cheats on the nuclear agreement (JCPOA).
Comment: Indeed something is up, otherwise why go from diagrams on posterboard to powerpoint presentations in order to make the case for accusing Iran of having nuclear weapons? From RT:
Iran lied about its nuclear program, making the 2015 deal invalid, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a televised address from Tel Aviv, using big-screen presentation slides and video.
Netanyahu showed the public a massive bookcase filled with folders, claiming this represents the number of documents that Israel has on Iran's program. He went on through his presentation on human-sized long screens, showing slides and pictures of what he claimed was evidence of Tehran violating the agreement with global powers.
Though Iran claimed it never had a nuclear weapons program, "100,000 secret files prove it did," Netanyahu said. After the 2015 nuclear deal, Iran "continued to preserve and expand its nuclear weapons knowledge" for future use.
"After signing the nuclear deal in 2015, Iran intensified its efforts to hide its secret files," he said. "In 2017 Iran moved its nuclear weapons files to a highly secret location in Tehran."
According to the PM, Tehran had preserved and expanded its military nuclear know-how in a secret atomic archive after the 2015 deal was signed. He said that "half a ton" of documents from the archives were obtained by Israel in "a great intelligence achievement." Netanyahu claimed that the files contain incriminating evidence that Iran has been working to develop a nuclear bomb as part of a program called "Project Amad."
Netanyahu has spoken to Russian President Vladimir Putin about the intelligence discoveries, and intends to send experts to France and Germany in the coming days to share the findings, the PM's office said in a statement.
Israel has long opposed the 2015 agreement, which saw international sanctions on its main geopolitical rival lifted in exchange for Iran curbing it controversial nuclear program.
Iranian media have dismissed Netanyahu's presentation, with the news agency Fars calling it "a propaganda show" and the state news agency IRNA describing the Israeli PM as "famous for ridiculous displays."
Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif called Netanyahu's presentation a "coordinated timing of alleged intelligence revelations by the boy who cries wolf" just before May 12, when US President Donald Trump is expected to pull out of the nuclear deal. Zarif said Netanyahu was undeterred by the "cartoon fiasco" at the UN General Assembly, referring to the 2012 presentation that used a cartoon bomb graphic.
After his meeting with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Sunday, Netanyahu said that "the attempt of Iran to acquire nuclear weapons" remains "the greatest threat" to Israel, the US, and the whole world.
Comment: And with Putin's Russia counteracting the US's attempt to destroy Syria, blocking the ethnic cleansing in western Ukraine of its Russian minority and effectively re-working Eurasia's economy with other countries - the US deep state and oligarchy is now absolutely seething with resentment and hatred.
Not one word of it should be believed of course.
Given that Hariri's death triggered a popular uprising known as the 'Cedar Revolution', which overthrew the pro-Syrian government in Beirut and led to Syrian troops being forced out of Lebanon after decades of peacekeeping since the Lebanese civil war, it's difficult to see what possible motivation the Syrian government may have had for assassinating Hariri - though one can certainly see how certain other countries in the region may have benefited.
Having grilled Assad on his alleged involvement in that macabre deed, Amanpour went on to tell her interviewee, to his face, that the US government was 'actively seeking' to depose him by force:
"Mr President, the rhetoric of regime change is headed towards you from the United States. They are actively looking for a new Syrian leader. They are granting visas and visits to Syrian opposition politicians. They are talking about isolating you diplomatically and perhaps a coup d'état or your regime crumbling."
Fierce criticism followed Pompeo's hawkish comments regarding Tehran's foreign policy during his whirlwind Middle East tour. The ex-CIA chief claimed than Iran "destabilizes this entire region" and exploits its influence in Yemen and Syria. His accusations, however, were not left unanswered.
"What the US secretary of state describes as Washington's partnership with Saudi Arabia is a partnership aimed at triggering instability and war as well as promoting arms races and extremism," Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi said in a Monday.
Such policies, especially those instigated by Saudi Arabia have already sparked "animosity and distrust" among countries in the region, thus fueling the ongoing crisis. Pompeo's criticism, Qassemi highlighted, was "baseless" due to the lack of any proof.
Comment: Blame your enemy for what you in fact do. The recent spate of Saudi-US justifications for bombing the life out of Yemen and vilifying Iran, are diversionary tactics to deflect the crimes of the aggressors as they destabilize yet another region according to a pro-Israel agenda.
US President Donald Trump says his much-anticipated meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will take place "over the next three to four weeks.
"It's going be a very important meeting, the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula," Trump told a campaign rally in Washington Saturday. "But we'll see how it goes. I may go in, it may not work out, I leave."The date and venue for the talks between the US and North Korean leaders have yet to be announced, with Singapore, Mongolia and even the Russian city of Vladivostok suggested as possible locations by various media outlets.
Peace House was the site of the historic meeting between the leaders of the two Koreas last week.
His words came after Syrian Army bases were hit in an alleged missile attack.
"The era of hit-and-run [strikes] has passed,"Ayatollah Khamenei said during a meeting with a group of Iranian workers on Monday. He then warned that if the US or any of its allies decide to attack the Islamic Republic or its bases, their actions will be met with a "much stronger response."
His statements came just hours after the reports about an alleged attack on the Syrian Army's positions in the countryside of Hama and Aleppo provinces. The Syrian state media said that the military bases were targeted in a missile strike launched by an unspecified enemy.
In the meantime, Iran dismissed reports about its military advisers allegedly being affected by the strike. No Iranian advisers were killed or injured in the incident, the Iranian Mehr News Agency said, citing some "informed" sources. It also denounced the reports about casualties among the Iranians in Syria by calling them "false."
The commander of the Fatemiyoun Division, a Syrian pro-government Shia militia supported by Iran, also told Mehr that his unit's base near Aleppo did not come under attack. Earlier, Sky News Arabia reported, citing rebel sources, that over 40 people might have been killed in the alleged strike. Some US and British media also said that dozens of Iranians were allegedly among those killed in the incident that occurred late on Sunday.
Comment: 'Yankee, go home - or suffer the consequences!' This message is clear.
The report joins a class of other baseless accusations with Russia at the center of them, whether it is somehow attempting to assassinate a useless former double agent and his daughter using a banned nerve agent, or supporting a tyrannical regime as it employs chemical an nerve agents on its own citizens, doping up its athletes for enhanced performance in global competitions, to hacking the elections of just about everybody.
While complicity and a conspiracy to manipulate the election outcome on Trump's part, or that of his campaign, was not part of the report's finding, it did take the time to criticize the campaigns of both Trump and Clinton for their 'poor judgment and ill-considered actions' relevant to the Russians.
However, while the Republicans are more certain of the innocence of the Trump campaign than the White House was of Assad's guilt for the April 7th suspected gas attack, they have no illusions about the Russian regime's conspiracy to influence Western elections, and maybe even beyond.
Comment: Not only is the "problem" that Trump is Trump, but that the darned guy persists in trying to create a stable and workable relationship with Russia! Doesn't he know that Russia is evil?!
This was the real 'international community,' as opposed to the pretend one restricted to just the US and its closest allies.
In February 1945, Churchill, Roosevelt, and Stalin, the so-called 'Big Three,' met in Yalta to plan for the post-war world. In April 2018, the world faces the threat of war again - not from goose-stepping Nazis - but from similarly Russophobic neocon hawks who seem hell-bent on total global domination.
The imperialist agenda has been thwarted in Syria, where regime-change plans have been blocked, hence a ratcheting up of Cold War 2.0 tensions with Russia from Washington and London. But at the YIEF, one could see the strength of resistance to the serial warmongers.
