"Croatia will decide who to allow into its territory" minister for migrants declares as refugee backlash continues

Croatia's Minister of the Interior Davor Božinović, speaking at an informal meeting of the EU Justice and Home Affairs Council in Sofia on Thursday, said that every country had a sovereign right to protect its borders and decide who to allow into its territory.

The migration crisis of 2015 highlighted the need to reform the Common European Asylum System (CEAS) to make it uniform, more effective and more resilient to migratory pressures and prevent its abuse. Pursuant to the European Council decision of December 2017, an agreement on the reform should be reached by June this year. Croatia supports the reform of the CEAS, as well as of the Dublin Regulation, but the member states should not be overburdened with the redistribution of asylum seekers, and solidarity should be within the capabilities of each member state, Božinović said according to a press release from the Ministry of the Interior.

Comment: EU citizens are witnessing the deterioration of their society and cultures at the hands of Eurocrats divvying out tens of thousands of refugees who are fleeing the West's illegal wars; Russia, however, is handling things quite differently: As a consequence of the refugee crisis and many other damning diktats doled out by Brussels, populist parties, who are against mass migration and want out of the EU, are on the rise: Also See: The Truth Perspective: Weapons of Mass Migration: Interview with Michael Springmann on Europe's Migrant Crisis

'Calm before the storm': Russian news report on likelihood of conflict escalation in Ukraine (VIDEO)

War in Ukraine is Imminent soldiers tank flag
It is all thanks to Trump being forced into approving new arms to the Ukrainians.

"Does the US need this war? Looking at everything, yes. After all, every US President needs to have his own war."

With the arming of Kiev by the Trump administration, Ukraine is getting ready for a new offensive. The plan is to reintegrate Donbass

They haven't even gotten their prized weapons yet and they are already shooting! The following clip taken from Russian nightly news (with transcript below) covers the situation in Donbass.

Comment: Is it any wonder citizens are turning away from the US-supported psychopaths in Ukraine?

$500,000 Maldives vacation for Ukraine's Poroshenko while his people languish in poverty

Ukraine's Poroshenko takes $500,000 Maldives vacation while his people languish in poverty
Petro Poroshenko is living it up whilst his people are suffering in conditions inferior to those of Charles Dickens' Bob Cratchit.

For many of us, the ideal Christmas is spent by a warm fireside, under a roof covered by a blanket of snow, surrounded by our closest loved one.

But Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko chose to spend the Christmas holiday on vacation by renting an island in the Maldives, where one day's agenda included yoga after breakfast, a massage, some sporty games and snorkeling after brunch.

'Davos Man': Where talk on 'inequality' is cheap but a burger platter costs $59

The Swiss resort of Chateaux-d'Oex is known for its hot air balloons. The Swiss resort of Davos is known for hot air. Or at least for one week a year, when some of the world's biggest windbags meet to discuss 'significant' issues.

This year, the cool and trendy thing to express concern over at the World Economic Forum is 'inequality.' OK, ya? Everyone seemed to agree that something needs to be done to narrow the "staggering" gap between rich and poor - to repeat the phrase used by Canada's liberal hipster PM Justin Trudeau, the man with those cute yellow and purple ducky socks.

French President Emmanuel Macron, who we're told was greeted like a "rock star," declared: "In the global process, capitalism has become a capitalism of superstars, the spreading of value (to those lower down the ladder) is no longer equitable."

FBI and US media collusion: Anti-Trump official identified as leaker to WSJ, WaPo reporter

Newly released text messages between controversial anti-Trump FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page reveal several leaks of confidential information to Wall St. Journal reporter, Devlin Barrett, who is now with the Washington Post.

Following the release of the timestamped texts by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, Conservative Treehouse compared the timing of the messages between the agents and tied them to several instances of Barrett breaking news or confirming rumors based on "sources" within the government.

Comment: Due to the collapse of the Mueller's fake investigation of non-existent Russian interference in US presidential elections, US voters are requesting the investigation of FBI. Will it happen?. We will have to wait and see.

Russian Media: America's 'Total War' - and the predicament about how to respond

Putin with his military chiefs

Amidst all the hullaballoo in U.S. media over alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential elections and ongoing threats to American democracy, the broad public may be forgiven for not noticing that the U.S.A. is day by day massively interfering in the Russian presidential campaign with a view to turning elites and the electorate against the front-runner, Vladimir Putin, and at the same time at discrediting the entire process.

Foreign attacks on Russia have been business as usual for a good 1000 years - they're used to it, and not intimidated in the least

These are not allegations: they are verifiable facts that can be spotted in the daily news, but they go unobserved because they appear separately, each with its own separate plausible explanation, and the media never connect the dots.

A Kurdish fighter from the People's Protection Units (YPG) fires heavy machine-gun at Islamic State militants in Raqqa, Syria.
The US told Ankara it will not deliver any more weapons to the Syrian Kurdish PYD/YPG fighters, Turkish media report. The news comes as the Turkish operation 'Olive Branch' in northern Syria has entered its eighth day.

Turkish Presidential Spokesman Ibrahim Kalin and US National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster held a phone call on Friday evening, Anadolu news agency said. McMaster confirmed that Washington would no longer provide weapons to fighters of the Kurdish People's Protection units (YPG) and the Democratic Union Party (PYD).

Later on Saturday Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Washington should immediately withdraw from northern Syria's Manbij region, located some 100 km from Afrin. Speaking to reporters, the top official said that the US should take steps to end its support of the Syrian Kurdish YPG militia.

The Russian watchdog Roskomnadzor has sent an additional inquiry to the Facebook management, asking to clarify reasons behind the blocking of Chechen head Ramzan Kadyrov's accounts on Facebook and Instagram, because the answer to the first inquiry did not provide an insight into this issue, Roskomnadzor deputy head Vadim Subbotin told reporters on Thursday.

In late December 2017, Kadyrov's Facebook and Instagram pages were disabled. Later Roskomnadzor sent an inquiry to the Facebook management on the reasons for blocking Kadyrov's accounts. The Facebook press service explained that the accounts had been blocked because Kadyrov had been put on the US sanctions list.

Russiagate 'investigation' only aimed at bringing Trump down

trump mueller

President Trump and Special Counsel Robert Mueller
An investigation has been launched to find out whether the campaign of US President Donald Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 presidential election, an allegation dismissed both by Moscow and Washington. Trump says he is willing to talk to Special Counsel Robert Mueller who is tasked with investigating Moscow's alleged meddling in the US election "under oath". Press TV has talked to Brian Becker, member of the ANSWER Coalition, as well as James Jatras, former US Senate foreign policy analyst, to get their opinion on this issue.

Becker believes the investigation into alleged Russian interference in the US election is a "politicized" attempt by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in order to bring down Donald Trump.

Comment: Further reading: Russia-Gate is state-sponsored paranoid propaganda
The American public is now experiencing mass paranoia that is called Russia-gate. Obnoxious and dangerous as this officially encouraged madness may be, it is, alas, nothing new. As from 9/11, the same kind of group hypnosis was administered from the Nation's Capital on the body politic to serve the then agenda of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, turning back civil liberties that had accrued over generations without so much as a whimper from Congress, our political elites and the country at large.

This time the generalized paranoia started under the nominally left of center administration of Barack Obama in the closing months of his presidency. It has been fanned ever since by the centrists in both Democratic and Republican parties who want to either remove from office or politically cripple Donald Trump and his administration, that is to say, to overturn the results at the ballot box on November 8, 2016.

Why won't Republicans release the memo?

trump mueller

Is another 'you're fired!' coming soon?
The Republicans' delay in releasing the summary of the House Intelligence Committee's Russiagate investigation is giving weight to the presstitutes' claim that the report is not being released, because it is a hack attempt at a Trump coverup that is not believable. Only Republicans are stupid enough to put themselves in such a situation.

Readers ask me why the summary memo is not released if it is real. There must be some reasons besides the stupidity of Republicans. Yes, that is so. Among the many reasons that might be blocking release are:

1) Republicans are very national security conscious. They don't want to provide precedents for the release of classified information.
