The Pentagon uses DARPA to "privatise" the national security of Ukraine and wage information war against Russia

pentagon

Translated by Ollie Richardson & Angelina Siard

Ukraine is a very convenient training ground for experiments conducted by the US in the sphere of information wars. But at the same time Ukraine deprives itself of political subjectness, sovereignty, and the right to independently deal with issues of national security, since it is "actually being privatised" by a third party, notes the deputy director of Institute for Strategic Studies and Predictions of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.

Comment: It is things like this, no doubt, that motivated Putin's recent warning to the West:

Israel Lobby: AIPAC to renew commitment to advance Israeli agenda against Iran and BDS movement

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who addressed AIPAC in person in 2015, will give a speech to the attendees of the 2018 AIPAC conference
The American Israeli Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC, is holding its 2018 policy conference in Washington, DC, on Sunday, an event meant to underscore its outsized influence inside America's corridors of power by hosting key Congressional leaders; the US vice president; the US ambassador to the UN; and several foreign leaders.

This year's conference will crown several of AIPAC's accomplishments in advancing its pro-Israel agenda in Congress and in the White House.

Key to AIPAC's congressional agenda this year will be to support Israeli goals of curbing Iran's rising power and influence in the Middle East, something Israel sees as a threat to its own economic and military superiority in the region.

AIPAC also seeks to limit US financial support for the Palestinian Authority (PA) and to target the BDS movement for its efforts against the Israeli occupation.

BDS, which stands for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, is a Palestinian-led international initiative that seeks to end the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories through economic and cultural boycotts.

According to its website, AIPAC's key legislative agenda includes: "develop a comprehensive strategy for Iran".

Driven by AIPAC's lobbying efforts and by pro-Israeli supporters on the American right, President Donald Trump's administration is trying to undo the American nuclear deal with Iran, signed under the Obama administration in 2015.

Comment: 'Israel first, America second' is what happens when you let 'special interest groups' dictate policy.

The powerful global spy alliance no one knows exists

Australian Defense Facilities Pine Gap
© Kristian Laemmle-Ruff
Australian Defense Facilities Pine Gap, Feb. 19, 2016.
It is one of the world's most powerful alliances. And yet most people have probably never heard of it, because its existence is a closely guarded government secret.

The "SIGINT Seniors" is a spy agency coalition that meets annually to collaborate on global security issues. It has two divisions, each focusing on different parts of the world: SIGINT Seniors Europe and SIGINT Seniors Pacific. Both are led by the U.S. National Security Agency, and together they include representatives from at least 17 other countries. Members of the group are from spy agencies that eavesdrop on communications - a practice known as "signals intelligence," or SIGINT.

Details about the meetings of the SIGINT Seniors are disclosed in a batch of classified documents from the NSA's internal newsletter SIDToday, provided by whistleblower Edward Snowden and published today by The Intercept. The documents shine light on the secret history of the coalition, the issues that the participating agencies have focused on in recent years, and the systems that allow allied countries to share sensitive surveillance data with each other.

Are Russia's new nuclear systems the source of the mysterious radioactivity in Europe's air?

Russian intercontinental ballistic missile nuclear
Flexing his nuclear muscles like never before, the Russian President in his annual state-of-the-nation speech presented two new nuclear-powered delivering systems for warheads.

Several times over the last two years, tiny small traces of radioactive iodine-131 have been measured in Europe, especially in the Scandinavian countries. National radiation agencies have been unable to direct the source of release, speculating in everything from leakages at a medical isotope production facility to leakages from operative nuclear reactors.

In Norway and Finland, radioactive isotopes were discovered at monitoring stations in January and March last year, as well as in January and February this year. The first cloud of radioactivity last year was first detected at Svanhovd air filter station on Norway's border to Russia in the north, but spread over most of Europe south to France and Spain over the following two weeks.

Authorities underline that the levels were nearly undetectable and are far from presenting any health concern to population.

Comment: Of course, the traces of radiation detected in Europe could be related to Russian weapons testing - but at this point in time this is mere speculation. Let's not forget that Russia is not the only nation in or around Europe playing with nuclear energy. See also:

Andrew McCabe
Department of Justice Inspector General (DOJ-IG) Michael Horowitz's long-awaited report will accuse outgoing FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe of improper leaking to the press and deliberately misleading DOJ-IG investigators, according to Thursday reporting in the New York Times and Washington Post.

The New York Times broke McCabe's alleged leaking to the media first. According to their "four people familiar with the inquiry," Horowitz's report will accuse McCabe of authorizing the leaks that led to an October 2016 piece in the Wall Street Journal that revealed on ongoing dispute about how to handle the investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails that had just been reopened by the discoveries on disgraced Congressman Anthony Wiener's laptop. Among other things, the WSJ article revealed that a senior Obama Justice Department official called McCabe "very pissed off" he was continuing his investigation and pressuring him to tack close to FBI polices and avoid tactics like subpoenas and grand juries that close to an election.

Enormous crowd packs World Cup final stadium in Moscow to sing Russian anthem with Vladimir Putin - Western media heads explode

putin anthem stadium
Thousands of people gathered at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on March 3 to attend a rally for Vladimir Putin as Russia prepares to hold the presidential election on March 18. The President was there in person to address the crowds.

A campaign rally gathered over 130,000 people in the capital city of Russia. Vladimir Putin addressed the rally:
"We have clear, coherent, noble goals. We want to make our country vibrant, a country that's looking forward to the future, because our ancestors lived here, we live here, our children live here, and our children and grandchildren will live here. We will do everything to make them happy. Nobody can do this for us but us. And if we do this, the nearest decade, the whole 21st century, will pass under the sign of our bright victories."

Comment: And now let's go over to the Fake News Media for their take...

The Great British Liberal Guardian found evidence that most people in attendance were forcibly put there against their will:
Multiple reports before Saturday's rally indicated that tens of thousands of Russians had been strongarmed into attending the event. University students, state employees, and workers at private companies were among those who came under pressure, according to opposition websites and social media posts.

"Organise yourselves into groups of no less than four, and photograph yourselves when you arrive at the stadium," read an email, seen by the Guardian, which was sent to employees of a Moscow-based company. "Don't forget to pick up your placards on Friday!" An employee at the company said he feared his wages would be cut if he did not comply.
The Great American Freedom Network, ABC, also reported:
"Ninety percent of people here were forced to come by their employer; otherwise people just wouldn't have come, no way," Andrey, who only gave his first name for fear of repercussions, added.

Having state enterprises push their workers to government rallies was a common practice in the Soviet Union days, and one that has continued into present-day Russia; during the last presidential campaign in 2012, reporters witnessed groups of volunteers handing out flags and cash ahead of a Putin rally.

Andrey said employers didn't necessarily threaten people, but made it clear that attendance was expected. It was like in Communist times, he said, "obligatorily voluntary."
Evidently, the Western media's heads are exploding in their desperate rush to mask Putin's popularity. It's critical that they do so because otherwise Westerners would see how debased and servile their leaders are by comparison.

Adam Schiff delivers load of nonsense when asked to back up claims of 'Russian collusion'

Meghan McCain Adam Schiff
The View's Meghan McCain asked Rep. Adam Schiff Thursday why he maintains there is evidence of collusion between the Donald Trump campaign and Russia.

Schiff answered with a lot of words, yet provided exactly zero evidence to support his claim.

"I think, at this time, it's difficult for me and many Americans to differentiate between what is overhype and what isn't," McCain said.

Contradictions in murder of Seth Rich continue to haunt 'Russian hacking' narrative

Seth Rich

Seth Rich
As rumors swirl that Special Counsel Robert Mueller is preparing a case against Russians who are alleged to have hacked Democrats during the 2016 election - a conclusion based solely on the analysis of cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike, a Friday op-ed in the Washington Times by retired U.S. Navy admiral James A. Lyons, Jr. asks a simple, yet monumentally significant question: Why haven't Congressional Investigators or Special Counsel Robert Mueller addressed the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich - who multiple people have claimed was Wikileaks' source of emails leaked during the 2016 U.S. presidential election?

Mueller has been incredibly thorough in his ongoing investigations - however he won't even respond to Kim Dotcom, the New Zealand entrepreneur who clearly knew about the hacked emails long before they were released, claims that Seth Rich obtained them with a memory stick, and has offered to provide proof to the Special Counsel investigation.

Geert Wilders: Russia is not Europe's enemy, all need to engage in 'adult conversation'

Geert Wilders
Geert Wilders, a Dutch politician and leader of the anti-immigration Party for Freedom, says European nations lack the kind of leadership he sees in the US and Russia, where the interests of their own people are prioritized.

Wilders, who has become a polarizing figure in Europe over his anti-EU and anti-Islam platform, is currently visiting Russia in his capacity as a member of the Dutch Parliament. RT caught up with him for an exclusive interview. Wilder says while he didn't like a lot of the policies of Russian President Vladimir Putin, but he would like to see a nationalist stance like Putin's in other European nations.

Norway used NSA technology for illegal spying

Norwegian Intelligence Service

Norwegian Intelligence Service
Behind an abandoned military facility 40 miles northwest of Oslo, Norway built a surveillance base in close collaboration with the National Security Agency. Its bright, white satellite dishes, some of them 60 feet in diameter, stand out against the backdrop of pine-covered hills and red-roofed buildings that scatter the area.

Classified documents describe the facility as "state-of-the-art," with capabilities "previously not released outside of NSA." Despite a hefty price tag of more than $33 million paid by Norwegian taxpayers, the Norwegian Intelligence Service has kept the operations at the site beyond public scrutiny.

The station, code-named VICTORY GARDEN, was ostensibly built to support Norwegian troops serving overseas and to combat terrorism. But its dragnet has also secretly captured records of phone calls and emails transmitted between law-abiding Norwegians and their friends, families, or colleagues in foreign countries, an investigation by The Intercept and the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, known as NRK, has found.
