Puppet Masters
"I hope the FBI, finally, is engaged in a comprehensive investigation into all elements of the Clinton charity network, and into past failures to prosecute Clinton Foundation frauds, particularly in the 1997 through 2005 period, but also from 2015 forward," said Wall Street analyst and investigative journalist Charles Ortel, commenting on the recent hearing concerning the Clinton Foundation at the Subcommittee on Government Operations of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
On Monday, the minister stopped by to have a long chat with reporters from Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper.
Some US politicians may at times advocate for good relations, but at the end of the day they view Moscow as a competitor, Lavrov said.
They want dialogue with us only [on issues] where they see profit. Especially, since right now the business mentality is blatantly manifesting itself in the American foreign policy. It's a shortsighted approach.Reporters wondered who of the past US leaders the minister would wish to have a conversation with. Lavrov's answer came quickly: 33rd President Harry Truman.
Succeeding Franklin D. Roosevelt, he "suddenly segued into Cold War" and it "would be interesting to understand why."
"The schismatics remained schismatics, and the Church remained the Church. It was joyful and gratifying that the bishops, clergy and believers remained loyal to the Church. The Church has manifested its unity. It is regrettable that there were few ones that went into schism, and also that this schism was supported by the Patriarchate of Constantinople. But no matter how hard they tried to proclaim the schism as the Church, and non-canonical as canonical, the Body of the Church of Christ will not accept this, because the structure that was created yesterday was and is an extraneous body that is rejected and not accepted by the Body of the Church," Archpriest Mykolay Danylevych, the deputy chairman of the UOC-MP Department for External Church Relations (DECR), wrote on Facebook Sunday.
According to the UOC spokesman, Saturday's "unification council" was in no way related to church life.
Speaking of extraordinary coincidences, what is up with both France and the UK undergoing profound national crises at the same time? The Brexit chaos looks like its settling on the prediction we made two years ago: they're going to re-run the in/out referendum (then properly rig the result this time).
In this episode of NewsReal, Joe & Niall discuss the brewing revolution in western Europe, the latest Russiagate nothing-burger, and the American government's 'new' strategy for countering Russia and China in Africa.

It all started when the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) tweeted a link to an interview it had conducted with Snowden about the concept of blockchains - an interview which seems to have instantly outraged Mensch, who has made a name for herself in recent years as one of Twitter's most creative Russiagate conspiracy mongers.
Responding to the ACLU's interview with Snowden, Mensch, a former conservative British MP, did what she does best and made everything about Russia.
Comment: Wikileaks should sue her. She has a long history of such behavior and a court order for damages might curb it.

Tzachi Hanegbi, the Israeli minister for regional cooperation, noted that Israel is not satisfied with the Australian decision to recognize West Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in conjunction with the acceptance of East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine, according to the Guardian.
"Australia is a deep and intimate friend of many years of Israel. We were happy to hear that it has an interest to clarify its recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital. But to our regret, within this positive news they made a mistake. There is no division between the east of the city and the west of the city. Jerusalem is one whole, united. Israel's control over it is eternal," said Hanegbi.
The minister said that the Australian decision runs counter to Israel's claim to both sides of the city.
Comment: Like most bullies, Israel will never be content until ALL its terms are met...no compromises.

The Post's Greg Miller told an audience at an October event that the FBI and CIA did not believe that former longtime Trump attorney Michael Cohen visited Prague during the 2016 election to pay off Russia-linked hackers who stole emails from key Democrats, reports the Daily Caller's Chuck Ross.
"We've talked to sources at the FBI and the CIA and elsewhere - they don't believe that ever happened," said Miller during the October event which aired Saturday on C-SPAN.
Comment: Thus the narrative is born and maintained.

U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, left, and Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita, left center, chair the opening session of a UN Migration Conference in Marrakech, Morocco, Monday, Dec. 10, 2018.
On December 19th the global agreement on migration is supposed to be approved during a meeting of the United Nations General Assembly. The agreement isn't legally obligatory, but even in such a form it causes sharp, sometimes furious disputes. The adoption of this agreement will facilitate the inflow of migrants to Europe, many of which don't want to be integrated into European life at all. Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, and outside Europe - Israel and Australia - didn't sign the agreement. The US withdrew the agreement from discussion at the end of 2017.
Comment: At least some countries can see the writing on the wall. Not that it will matter unless they unite, oppose and force the PTB to reveal its hand. See also:

Until last weekend there were three Orthodox Christian churches in Ukraine. The Ukrainian Orthodox Church is an internationally-recognized autonomous part of the Russian Orthodox Church. The two others were self-proclaimed and universally considered schismatic.
On Saturday, the latter two unified into an Orthodox Church of Ukraine, an organization purporting to be part of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. Priests of the canonical Church were invited to participate and break ties with Moscow, but only two did.
According to Dmitro Yarosh, a far-right Ukrainian MP, the Ukrainian priests who stayed loyal to the Russian Orthodox Church, should now be 'hunted' and ousted from the country. The representative got his current seat in the Parliament in the wake of the 2014 armed coup in Kiev, in which members of the Right Sector group, which he headed, played the part of the opposition fighting force. He remains a respected figure in the circles of Ukrainian extreme nationalists.

On Friday, Erdogan said that Ankara was ready to launch an operation in the Syrian Manbij against the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) if the United States does not withdraw them from the area. Erdogan discussed the situation in Syria with Trump on the same day.
"We expect the Turkish authorities, therefore, to refrain from any unilateral action likely to undermine the efforts of the Counter-Daesh Coalition or to risk further instability in Syria. As the fight against Daesh is entering its final stages, all parties must work towards the goal of ensuring its upcoming defeat, which remains an indispensable objective for any durable solution to the Syrian crisis," Mogherini said.
Comment: Eliminating the YPG has been a primary goal for Turkey all along. It has kept Erdogan in the war and tucked under Putin's wing, waiting for precisely this opportunity.

More from Sputnik:
US intelligence and diplomatic officials have urged the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces (SMDK) not to support the planned Turkish military operation against the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) east of the Euphrates River.
Turkey's Anadolu news agency cited a number US officials as saying in a message that any participation by SMDK or FSA in the operation is "an attack on the United States and the Coalition Forces", which may lead to "direct confrontation" with them.
"That will fully destroy" the relations between the US, SMDK and FSA, Washington warned.
The US officials also recalled the interaction of the US military with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), insisting that the group "cannot be attacked without aggression and confrontation with Coalition Forces and US forces and advisers."
"When elephants dance, you must stay away from the dance floor," they noted.
The remarks came after Turkish President Recep Tayyip and his US counterpart Donald Trump discussed Ankara's future military operation in eastern Syria over the phone.
Erdogan shared with Trump his concerns over the YPG's growing military presence, supported by the United States, as the two leaders agreed to coordinate military actions on the Turkish-Syrian border. Earlier, the Turkish President signaled Ankara's readiness to launch an operation against the YPG "in a few days" if the United States does not withdraw them from the area.

Comment: It seems the only support this breakaway church has is from politicians in Ukraine, a few clergy and and the Constantinople Patriarchate, most of whom, unsurprisingly, receive their funding from backers in the US:
