Pedophiles in high places: Former child model who accused X-Men director of sexual assault 'also drugged and raped by a businessman after Siegfried and Roy show'

egan lawsuit
Lawsuit: Michael Egan, pictured at a press conference last week, has filed a lawsuit against director Bryan Singer, accusing him of drugging and raping him in California and Hawaii in the late 1990s

The former child model who has accused X-Men director Bryan Singer of sexually assaulting him as a teenager was also allegedly drugged and raped by a businessman after a Siegfried and Roy show.

Details of the abuse reportedly suffered by Michael Egan have emerged in an affidavit from 2003, which alleges the horrifying sexual abuse four teenage boys endured at the hands of two internet businessmen, Marc Collins-Rector and Chad Shackley.

A source told TMZ that one of these victims, 'Minor #4', is Egan. It has previously been alleged that Rector, who was later convicted of child sex abuses, and Shackley introduced him to Singer.

Sources told TMZ that Egan never complained about Singer at the time of the affidavit, and Singer is not named in the records.

A man accused of being a member of the amorphous hacktivist movement Anonymous now faces a total of 44 charges after federal investigators announced on Tuesday the filing of second superseding indictment against Fidel Salinas of Donna, Texas.

Salinas, 27, was first charged last October with one count of violating the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act after a grand jury in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas said he intentionally tried to hack into the computer system of Hidalgo County practically two years earlier. A superseding indictment was unsealed earlier this month on April 2 and introduced 15 additional counts against Salinas, but this week the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced that even more charges have since been brought.

The FBI confirmed on Tuesday that Salinas now faces a total of 44 charges due to his supposed role in attempting to hack computer systems belonging to Hidalgo County, the La Joya Independent School District and The Monitor newspaper of McAllen, TX, as well as the computer of an unnamed female victim he is alleged to have cyber-stalked at least 18 times in December 2011.

Ukraine
  • China has officially strongly criticized any sanctions saying that they would be useless.
  • Another six cities of the eastern Ukraine have rebelled.
  • Dmitryi Olegovich Rogozin Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia and Deputy Prime Minister of Russia in charge of defense industry has declared that Russia will respond to words with words and to actions with actions. For example, he said, if the US would try to hurt the Russian aerospace industry they could fly their astronauts to the International Space Station themselves.
  • Oleg Tsarev, one of the most popular political figures from the eastern Ukraine officially quit the Presidential race explaining that it was impossible for him to participate.
  • Mikhail Dokin, a top Party of Regions figure and close friend of the Major of Kharkov Gennadi Kermes - who has been shot and is in critical condition in an Israeli hospital declared that he is also thinking of quitting the Presidential race.
  • Russian pilots have reported that the GPS signal over Ukraine appears to have been degraded by the USA. The USA also did that in Libya and during the 08.08.08 Ossetia. Luckily, the Russian constellation of GLONASS satellites is at its full capacity (24) and it can easily take over.
  • US Secretary of State John Kerry:"Today Russia seeks to change the security landscape of Eastern and Central Europe, we have to make it absolutely clear to the Kremlin that NATO territory is inviolable we will defend every single inch of it."
  • In Kiev the Right Sector and the Maidanites have fought each other
Turchinov admits that his operation has failed: "I would like to say frankly that at the moment the security structures are unable to swiftly take the situation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions back under control. Security personnel tasked with the protection of citizens are helpless. More than that, some of these units either aid or co-operate with terrorist groups. Our task is to stop the spread of the terrorist threat first of all in the Kharkiv and Odessa regions."

Ralph Nader: Impeach Obama, decriminalize drugs

Image
What if Washington politics were no longer defined by partisan gridlock but instead by a cross-party alliance that forged solutions? The alliance would be unstoppable.

That's the premise of the new book "Unstoppable: The Emerging Left-Right Alliance to Dismantle the Corporate State" by longtime political activist and five-time presidential candidate Ralph Nader, who contends that such a left-right alliance is not just the stuff of imagination but is actually emerging.

"On Capitol Hill, I'm seeing more and more in Congress, left and right," Nader told "The Fine Print." "It was a vote in the House over a year ago over the NSA snooping, it almost broke through ... so we're beginning to see formulations that once they click together, they're unstoppable."

Nader was referring to a vote in July 2013 over a measure known as the Amash Amendment that would have curtailed the National Security Agency's ability to collect bulk phone call data. The measure narrowly failed by 12 votes, in part due to a concerted White House lobbying effort on Capitol Hill.

Nader expects there is going to be a growth of left-right alliances in Congress, pointing to the war on drugs and bank regulatory efforts as areas of possibly confluence. On the war on drugs, Nader said that the United States should entirely decriminalize and move to regulate all drugs in the same way alcohol and tobacco are regulated.

Why did the Fed hold an emergency meeting yesterday?

Everyone knows that the FOMC announcement, due today at 2 pm, will be the culmination of an orderly, traditional 2-day meeting which started yesterday, April 29.

What few know, however, is that in addition to the generic FOMC meeting which started yesterday at 10:30 am, at about the same time, the Fed also held an "expedited" emergency meeting between the four board governors Yellen, Tarullo, Stein, and Powell.

As the WSJ adds, "The four members of the board met to discuss "medium-term monetary policy issues," according to a meeting notice posted on the Fed's website....

A Fed spokesman declined to say if the two meetings were combined, or how long the board meeting lasted."

The WSJ also notes that the "last time the Fed board met to discuss "medium-term monetary policy issues" was on April 26, 2011, according to analysts at BNP Paribas."

Kerry lies some more: U.S. taped Moscow's calls to its Ukraine spies

The secretary of state claimed in a private meeting that the U.S. intelligence community has recordings of pro-Russian forces being managed by government handlers in Moscow.

The United States has proof that the Russian government in Moscow is running a network of spies inside eastern Ukraine because the U.S. government has recordings of their conversations, Secretary of State John Kerry said in a closed-door meeting Friday.

"Intel is producing taped conversations of intelligence operatives taking their orders from Moscow and everybody can tell the difference in the accents, in the idioms, in the language. We know exactly who's giving those orders, we know where they are coming from," Kerry said at a private meeting of the Trilateral Commission in Washington. A recording of Kerry's remarks was obtained by The Daily Beast.

Kerry didn't name specific Russian officials implicated in the recordings. But he claimed that the intercepts provided proof of the Russians deliberately fomenting unrest in eastern Ukraine - and lying about it to U.S. officials and the public.

Japan has imposed visa bans on 23 Russian citizens including government officials following US sanctions over Russia's stance on Ukraine.

Japan has not released the names of those affected, but says the list is based on those compiled by the United States and the European Union, according to the Kyodo news agency.

"We need to call on Russia to restrain itself and act responsibly," Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida said.

Tokyo announced the measures following the decision on Monday by the United States and the European Union to impose additional sanctions against Russia.

US President Barack Obama visited Japan last week to wrap up his four day Asia tour, meant to boost trade and business relations between Asia and Washington. Obama pledged support to Japan over a territorial dispute it has with China about islands in the East China Sea.

Russia passes new 'blogger bill' - gives rights and responsibilities to citizen media

Image
© RIA Novosti / Alexey FilippovFederation Council meeting.
Russia's Federation Council has passed the bill introducing obligations for maintainers of popular blogs, roughly similar to the existing rules for mass media.

The new bill introduces a definition of 'blogger' to Russian legislation. Popular blogs, defined as those that have 3,000 or more visitors per day, will have to register on a special list maintained by the consumer rights agency Rospotrebnadzor, and follow certain rules.

The authors will have to sign the posts with their real name and verify the information they publish. They will also be banned from posting extremist and terrorist information, propagating pornography or violence, and disclosing state or commercial secrets and personal data of citizens. Popular bloggers will not be able to use obscene language and will face some other restrictions, such as a 'day of silence' ahead of elections.

At the same time bloggers receive the right to make official inquiries and for commercial activities - they can have advertising in their posts and receive money for it.

An Army psychiatrist said the accused USS Cole bomber was given adequate access to treatment for his mental health problems, although he admitted he had no access the secret CIA files documenting the suspect's extensive torture, the Miami Herald reports.

The doctor, an Army major who was board-certified in psychiatry in 2012, said 49-year-old Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri refused any kind of therapy, Carol Rosenberg, who has covered the story exclusively for the daily, reports.

Nashiri, who faces the death penalty for his alleged role in the October 2000 USS Cole bombing, was held for four years by the CIA. According to recently unclassified abuse reports, he was interrogated with a waterboard and power drill and subjected to a mock execution. His psychiatrist, identified in court as Doctor 97, testified at the pre-trial hearing on Sunday that the medical records he consulted made no mention of the CIA detention history on any of his patients.

"I have just assumed that they probably went through some form of hell at some point in their life," Rosenberg cites the doctor, an Army major who testified anonymously from Fort Bliss, Teas via video-link, as saying.
