The Syrian Army and National Defense Forces (NDF) have already regained control over the village of Nawleh near the Marj al-Sultan Airbase, having killed a large number of terrorists.
"The pro-government forces are now in control of 80 percent of the territories south of the strategic airport," a military source told FARS News on Tuesday.

The news follows reports of a civilian hospital coming under fire on Sunday in the southern city of Taiz, in Yemen's most densely populated region.
"The neutrality of healthcare facilities and staff is not being respected," Kedir Awol Omar, the deputy head of the ICRC delegation in Yemen, told Common Dreams. "Health facilities are deliberately attacked and surgical and medical supplies are also being blocked from reaching hospitals in areas under siege."

"This agreement would push down wages, flood our nation with unsafe imported food, raise the price of life-saving medicine, all the while trading with countries where gays and single mothers can be stoned to death."

In the wake of the scathing report from the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, a source told Israeli newspaper Haaretz that despite growing awareness of the problem, helping juvenile prostitutes "still falls between the governmental cracks."
Of all the police investigations opened into sex crimes against minors last year, about 45% have been closed, the paper reported.
Comment: Yet another UN report showing the lack of human dignity in Israel. Failing to make any improvements since the last report shows Israel is not even interested in improving its image and reputation around the world, let alone actually doing something out of actual moral consideration.

Army trucks transporting the wire have been seen in the village of Veliki Obrez in southeastern Slovenia. According to a Reuters photographer at the scene, about two kilometers of wire had been erected by 1130 GMT. AP reported that soldiers were stretching the wire along the Sutla River, which flows through Slovenia and Croatia and mainly forms their border.
Slovenian soldiers have also built a fence on an open field not far from the frontier village of Gibina in eastern Slovenia, a Reuters cameraman said.
The plan to build the fence was announced on Tuesday by Prime Minister Miro Cerar who said that Slovenia wants to"ensure a controlled and secure flow of migrants and prevent a humanitarian catastrophe."

"This airfield had been surrounded by ISIS [the former name of the Islamic State terrorist group] for two years," Major General Igor Konashenkov, spokesman for the Russian defense ministry, said in a daily briefing. "Intelligence on the locations of the terrorist fire positions and support points around Kweires was provided by the Syrian opposition and cleared by the communication center in Baghdad."
Lifting the siege on the airbase in Aleppo provinces has been one of the biggest victories for Damascus since Russia started providing air support for Syrian government forces.
