Prior testing at a separate Afek site did not meet expectations, so the company sought other "sweet spots" in the area. Analysis of samples from additional wells will be performed by Afek scientists in conjunction with "external international experts."
To understand U.S. involvement in the quagmire in Syria, Afek's oil exploration is of critical import.
"The successor will be appointed swiftly. We, as the European Union, continue to work with Turkey, Turkey is a key partner; it's a candidate country. We have re-energized our relationship," said Maja Kocijancic, a spokesperson for the European Commission, while reiterating the EU's pledge to galvanize the visa liberalization process for Turkey and spur accession talks in exchange for the success of the EU-Turkey migrant deal.
Hansjoerg, a German national, provoked the ire of Turkish officials last month for citing a proverbial expression "starting like a Turk and ending like a German" to illustrate the Turkish government's lackluster approach to fulfilling the 72 requirements the EU listed as conditions for a visa-free regime for Turks wanting to enter the Schengen zone, as stipulated in the roadmap drawn up back in 2013. "We have a proverb: 'To start like a Turk and end like a German,' but it has been just the opposite here. It started like a German and is being finished like a Turk," he said when speaking at a press conference on May 13.
The original saying alludes to the perception that Turkish people embark on new endeavors with strong enthusiasm, but lack the willpower to see them through. In contrast, Germans are stereotypically known for strict discipline and the ability to get a job done.
The comments added fuel to the heated debate over the fate of the controversial EU-Turkey migrant deal, which the EU sees as crucial for stemming the flow of refugees flooding the continent, a large number of whom travel through Turkey. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has repeatedly threatened to pull out of the agreement if visa-free access is not granted to Turkish citizens by July 1.
Comment: Because he will look bad at home? He already looks bad, really bad.
Comment: Germany, grasping for solutions, should know better. Erdogan has shown NO good faith, NO complying, NO compromise. He's a tyrant...and the big part of that word is RANT. Now that Turkey and Israel are new BFFs, what's the 'deal' with the EU? Turkey has its backup, and covert blackmail is an Israeli specialty.

“I am proud to be the first Israeli elected to this position." “Israel is a world leader in international law and in fighting terrorism,” he added. “We are pleased to have the opportunity to share our knowledge with the countries of the world.” ~ Danny Danlon
Today Israel, illegal state of extremist settlers built upon the bones of an imprisoned, colonized Palestine, has been elected to the chair of the UNGA. The United Nations General Assembly sixth committee or legal committee. This legal committee oversees management of international law.
The lawbreaker has become the lawmaker in one fell swoop, ransacking the regulatory halls of justice and laying waste to what remnants of delusion we had left regarding the efficacy of international law.
Ecuador is seeking the extradition of banking brothers Roberto and William Isaias from the United States on charges that they embezzled funds and are largely responsible for the country's financial crisis in 1999—but the United States has spent the last 13 years ignoring the request.
The Isaias brothers have both been found guilty of fraud and the Ecuadorean government says they need to pay back millions of dollars they stole from the savings of average Ecuadoreans. So why are they being protected?
Comment: Sounds like Ecuador is cursed with its own version of the Koch brothers. The Isias brother's role in the replacement of Ecuador's native currency with the US dollar would seem to be a key factor in their being shielded from extradition.
"Give me control of a nation's currency, and I care not who makes its laws." - Baron von RothschildEcuador is pretty much in the grip of the Empire, despite the efforts of President Rafael Correa to chart an independent course for his country.
Rohrabacher was initially elected to Congress in 1988, with the fundraising help of friend Oliver North. Rohrabacher's decades-long involvement in "all things Afghan" eventually earned him the nickname "Gunga Dana." Today he chairs the United States House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe, Eurasia and Emerging Threats.
This morning President Obama called him a "home-grown" terrorist. In a series of phone interviews Monday morning, Donald Trump responded that "there's something going on" with the President's reaction to the Orlando shooting.
I guess even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
The Porter began its 21-day routine patrol of the Black Sea on June 6th in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve.
"There are going to be ships out there, there's going to be aircraft flying. That is what we expect," Horrell said of a Russian response to the Porter. "There is a level of provocation it can get up to, but it may very well not."
Earlier in June, Russian Foreign Ministry official Andrei Kelin told RIA Novosti that Russia would take "retaliatory measures" in response to the US deployment in the Black Sea.
Horrell described a "normal reaction" US officers would anticipate from Russia in the Black Sea.
Below is a photo of Omar's father after a meeting at the US State Dept. in Washington DC where he met with "officials", but oddly, no log of his visit is available in the public record.
The alleged shooter's father played an absolute key role in setting up the entire "hate crime" narrative by inserting this quote into the MSM machine during the immediate aftermath of the sensationalized media event. Seddique Mateen said:
"We were in Downtown Miami, Bayside, people were playing music, and he saw two men kissing each other in front of his wife and kid and he got very angry. They were kissing each other and touching each other and he said, 'Look at that. In front of my son they are doing that.' And they we were in the men's bathroom and men were kissing each other."
For the media, and every other political leader in the US, this was now classified as a "hate crime", and so... case closed. In other words, a simple story line with real traction was now baked firmly into this event - about a homophobic, "ISIS-inspired," crazed 'lone gunman' who 'went postal' in a Orlando gay nightclub, and coincidentally, on the eve of an international Gay Pride celebration day.
Comment: So far nothing of Mateen's possible motives makes sense. He allegedly pledged allegiance to ISIS, but also expressed sympathy for Hezbollah and al-Qaeda, despite all groups being mutual enemies of each other. According to eyewitnesses, he told the 911 operator that this was in response to the bombing of ISIS in Syria; he let blacks go, seemingly implying a racial motive; he was a frequent patron of the club, and used a gay dating app. Numerous witnesses discussed his homosexuality:
Several witnesses have come forward saying they frequently spotted Mateen in gay bars and on a gay messaging app, while his former wife Sitora Yusufiy had told Brazilian television that he had "gay tendencies". Speaking to SBT Brazil on Monday, with her fiancé Marco Dias translating in Portuguese on her behalf, she also said Mateen's father called him gay in front of her. She claims she was told by the FBI not to tell this information to the US media.
...
Speaking to the Palm Beach Post, the unidentified man who attended a police academy with Mateen said he believed he was gay, but not open about it. "We went to a few gay bars with him, and I was not out at the time, so I declined his offer," the source said in reference to Mateen's supposed request for a date. ...
Four regulars at Pulse nightclub told the Orlando Sentinel that they saw him drunk at the club before. ... "Sometimes he would go over in the corner and sit and drink by himself, and other times he would get so drunk he was loud and belligerent," Pulse regular Ty Smith said. Smith and his husband dismissed Mateen's father's claim that the gunman had been outraged when he once saw two men kissing in Miami. "That's bullcrap, right there. No offence. That's straight-up crap. He's been around us," he said in an interview at the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida on Monday. "Some of those people did a little more than (kiss) outside the bar," Smith said.
Currently the media has created a narrative. Omar Mateen acted alone when he shot up the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. This "lone wolf" killed over 50 people and maimed 53. That's a casualty count of over 100.
Even at close quarters, it takes several rounds to kill a person. People are terrible shots. People who are full of adrenaline and have been running are also terrible shots. Witness interviews also indicate that Mateen shot into the ceiling.
How many rounds of ammo did Mateen have, and would that number be enough to take out over 100 people?

The back of the Pulse nightclub in Orlando on Sunday, June 12. Police say they used an APC to make these holes in the wall, through which many surviving hostages escaped. It's undisclosed who made the bullet holes around the larger holes.
An Everyman for our times then, it would seem.
The story goes that, at 2am on Sunday 12 June 2016, 29-year-old Omar Mateen walked into a dark nightclub packed with 320 people having a good time. Mateen is carrying an AR-15 rifle and 30 magazines of ammunition on his person. In the dark, beneath the flashing and strobing lights, he begins shooting and goes on to reload and empty his AR-15 rifle 30 times, firing nearly 1,000 rounds of .223 ammunition. In the process, he achieves the remarkable feat of killing or injuring one third of the people around him, the majority of his victims being shot multiple times, some as many as 12 times. And he does all this in under 7 minutes. Alone.
That, dear readers, is the 'official story', aka, 'all the news that's fit to print'.
"We've met the head of the bank (NDB BRICS - TASS) to demonstrate our model, they are satisfied with it and say they will follow suit in case we strike a bargain with Chinese banks. The New Development Bank BRICS can invest up to $500 mln. AIIB is a big bank, which can invest billions but it's not going to be the first, it may be the second," he said, adding that "potentially they are ready."
Earlier Misharin said that Russian Railways had applied for finances from the New Development Bank for a few infrastructure projects, including the Moscow-Kazan high-speed railroad, and planned to apply to the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank for funds.
Comment: Can you imagine infrastructure projects such as these being considered in 21st century USA, other than exclusively for an ultra-rich elite? Between them Russia and China are making huge moves to create a more civilized and developed society, and were it not for the looming spectre of Cosmic/Earth changes and the Empire of Chaos with it's finger on the button, things would really be looking up right now.
