Palestinian Authority plans to sue Britain for 1917 Balfour Declaration to remove Arabs

Britain is responsible for all Israeli war crimes since 1948 because it created the 1917 mandate which saw Arabs removed from their land to make way for the state of Israel, a top Palestinian diplomat has said.

Originally signed by UK Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour, the agreement officially sanctioned the Zionist movement's aims, leading to its later colonization of what was then the Ottoman-held territory of Palestine.

Now the Palestinian Authority's (PA) chief foreign minister, Riyad al-Malki, has told the Arab League that Britain will be held to account for its part in what Palestinians still see as a cataclysmic event.

That decision, al-Maliki told the League on Monday, "gave people who don't belong there something that wasn't theirs."

Erdogan says Turkish people want death penalty reinstated, slams EU for 'inaction'

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan.
Turkey's president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said his government would ensure that the Turkish people's "call" to reinstate the death penalty in wake of the failed coup is heard despite the EU's warning that it would bring accession talks to a halt.

In a Monday interview with a German broadcaster ARD, Erdogan pledged to follow up on his promise to reintroduce capital punishment if such a request is submitted by the country's parliament, saying the government could not ignore the will of the people.

"What do the [Turkish] people say today? They want the death penalty reintroduced. And we as the government must listen to what the people say. We can't say 'no, that doesn't interest us,'" he stressed, while adding that he cannot reinstate the punishment by himself.

"I am not a king. I am only a country's president. To be a stronger president does not mean to act in breach of constitution," he noted, pointing out that capital punishment is not considered an abnormal practice anywhere in the world save Europe.

"Only in Europe is there no death penalty. Otherwise, it is almost everywhere," he stressed.

Newly-inaugurated Philippines president, Rodrigo Duterte: 'US, not Middle East, responsible for spread of terrorism'

duterte
Contrary to the prejudice that predominantly-Muslim countries in the Middle East are spreading terrorism, President Rodrigo Duterte accused the United States of "importing terrorism."

"It is not that the Middle East is exporting terrorism to America. America imported terrorism," Duterte said told an audience of Muslim Filipinos on Friday during the Mindanao Hariraya Eid'l Fit'r 2016 in Davao City.

He said that the US introduced war to Iraq by toppling the government of former President Saddam Hussein in 2003, and that the terrorism is a result of Iraqi people being "pushed to the wall."

"They forced their way into Iraq and killed Saddam. Look at Iraq now. Look what happened to Libya. Look what happened to Syria." Duterte said.

U.S. belligerence and the countdown to war in the South China Sea

US Navy S China Sea
On July 12th, 2016 the UN arbitration decision against China's claim of territorial islands based on "historical rights" ruled in favor of the Philippines, serving as the latest international war machine's ratcheting up imminent all-out war. The Rockefeller financed United Nations as a globalist extension of American Empire's dominance over the rest of the world is just another engineered US machination designed to instigate further conflict and tension as the latest face of Obama's announced 2011 Asian pivot, pushing, prodding and provoking a high risk military showdown against re-designated cold war enemy China being potentially pinned in on all sides by US attempted aggression.

A recent example is Defense Secretary Ashton Carter's April trip to secure a military alliance with India, exploiting the strained Beijing-New Delhi relations over their mutual border dispute. Moreover, a visit last month to Washington by India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi cemented the US-Indian military alliance in preparation for war against China. But with both the Asian pivot and the TPP stalling during this election year, a number of Asian countries are moving towards increased neutrality rather than buckling under to US Empire's mounting pressures to align with the United States against China.

Over this weekend the ten Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) met at a conference in the Laos capital to decide how to respond to The Hague slamming China over the South China Sea dispute and, with nearly half the ASEAN members also contesting islands with China, aside from the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei and Vietnam, the meeting ended up deadlocked. It's being reported that Laos and Cambodia are unwilling to take a stand against China having been given recent Chinese aid and loans. And similar to Carter's April India visit, John Kerry is opportunistically flying into Vientiane on Monday morning to apply his undue superpower persuasion pressing ASEAN to also formally back the UN's decision against China.

With the Western elitist influenced UN proclamation rendering illegal China's reformation claims in the South China Sea, the tribunal's stiff ruling is being heralded as a much needed victory for the globalists and US Empire. The relentless assault on China in recent years simultaneously combined with the same propaganda war tactics and militarized threat being used against China's prime allied partner Russia is producing an outcome that recklessly endangers every human life on our planet. The US-NATO-UN's divisive agenda is a driving force racing us towards World War III against the two Eastern nuclear powers.

Eve of the convention nomination: Democrats in disarray, 'off with the head' of the party

The head of the Democratic Party resigned on Sunday amid a furor over embarrassing leaked emails, hoping to head off a growing rebellion by Bernie Sanders supporters on the eve of the convention to nominate Hillary Clinton for the White House.

Lingering bitterness from the heated primary campaign between Clinton and Sanders erupted after more than 19,000 Democratic National Committee emails, leaked on Friday, confirmed Sanders' frequent charge that the party played favorites in the race. In a statement, DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz said the best way for the party to accomplish its goal of putting Clinton in the White House was for her to step aside. Sanders had demanded earlier in the day that Wasserman Schultz resign.

The furor was a blow to a party keen on projecting stability in contrast to the volatility of Republican candidate Donald Trump, who was formally nominated at a raucous convention in Cleveland last week. It also overshadowed preparations in Philadelphia for Clinton's coronation as the nominee to face Trump in the Nov. 8 presidential election. She will be the first woman nominated for president by a major U.S. political party.

Comment: Can't say this 2016 election process hasn't had drama! It just keeps on giving. Everything but the food fight...oh wait...that's scheduled right after the delegate recount.

Will NYT retract its latest fraudulent anti-Russian story?

New York Times
© Wikipedia
In covering the new Cold War, The New York Times has lost its journalistic bearings, serving as a crude propaganda outlet publishing outlandish anti-Russian claims that may cross the line into fraud

In a fresh embarrassment for The New York Times, a photographic forensic expert has debunked a new amateurish, anti-Russian analysis of satellite photos related to the shoot-down of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 over eastern Ukraine in 2014, labeling the work "a fraud."

Last Saturday, on the eve of the second anniversary of the tragedy that claimed 298 lives, the Times touted the amateur analysis asserting that the Russian government had manipulated two satellite photos that revealed Ukrainian anti-aircraft missiles in eastern Ukraine at the time of the shoot-down.

The clear implication of the article by Andrew E. Kramer was that the Russians were covering up their complicity in shooting down the civilian airliner by allegedly doctoring photos to shift the blame to the Ukrainian military. Beyond citing this analysis by armscontrolwonk.com, Kramer noted that the "citizen journalists" at Bellingcat had reached the same conclusion earlier.

But Kramer and the Times left out that the earlier Bellingcat analysis was thoroughly torn apart by photo-forensic experts including Dr. Neal Krawetz, founder of the FotoForensics digital image analytical tool that Bellingcat had used. Over the past week, Bellingcat has been aggressively pushing the new analysis by armscontrolwonk.com, with which Bellingcat has close relationships.

Terror talk: A highly instructive lesson in the semantics of horror, hypocrisy

Terrorism word cloud
The frightful and bloody hours of Friday night and Saturday morning in Munich and Kabul - despite the 3,000 miles that separate the two cities - provided a highly instructive lesson in the semantics of horror and hypocrisy. I despair of that generic old hate-word, "terror". It long ago became the punctuation mark and signature tune of every facile politician, policeman, journalist and think tank crank in the world.

Terror, terror, terror, terror, terror. Or terrorist, terrorist, terrorist, terrorist, terrorist.

But from time to time, we trip up on this killer cliché, just as we did at the weekend. Here's how it went. When first we heard that three armed men had gone on a "shooting spree" in Munich, the German cops and the lads and lassies of the BBC, CNN and Fox News fingered the "terror" lever. The Munich constabulary, we were informed, feared this was a "terrorist act". The local police, the BBC told us, were engaged in an "anti-terror manhunt".

And we knew what that meant: the three men were believed to be Muslims and therefore "terrorists", and thus suspected of being members of (or at least inspired by) Isis.

Then it turned out that the three men were in fact only one man - a man who was obsessed with mass killing. He was born in Germany (albeit partly Iranian in origin). And all of a sudden, in every British media and on CNN, the "anti-terror manhunt" became a hunt for a lone "shooter".

Report: Hillary's State Dept approved $50 million in Bill Clinton speeches

Bill Clinton
Bill Clinton reportedly made nearly $50 million from more than 220 paid events that the State Department approved while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State, according to an Associated Press report.

Mainstream media outlets have been scrutinizing the Clintons, especially Bill Clinton's speaking fees that doubled or tripled after his wife became Secretary of State, after the many revelations in Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large and Government Accountability Institute President Peter Schweizer's Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich. NBC News reporter Andrea Mitchell said Schweizer's blockbuster book was a "playbook" for any news organization investigating the Clintons and was "overshadowing" Hillary Clinton's campaign rollout.

Inside the scramble to oust Debbie Wasserman Schultz

Debbie Wasserman Schultz

Hillary Clinton and her team aren't thrilled that the head of the Democratic National Committee was forced out on the eve of the nominee's coronation — but they aren't exactly distraught to see Debbie Wasserman Schultz booted from the tent.

Several senior Democratic officials with ties to Hillary and Bill Clinton told POLITICO that campaign higher-ups have been trying to replace the oft-off-message Florida congresswoman from the start of Clinton's campaign late last year.

John Podesta, Clinton's campaign chairman — and a former top adviser to Barack Obama — broached the idea of replacing Wasserman Schultz as early as last fall, only to be rebuffed by the president's team, according to two people with direct knowledge of the conversation.

"It came down to the fact that the president didn't want the hassle of getting rid of Debbie," said a former top Obama adviser. "It's been a huge problem for the Clintons, but the president just didn't want the headache of Debbie bad-mouthing him. ... It was a huge pain in the ass."

When asked if he's a friend or foe of the West, Putin responds with a nuanced neither [Video]

Putin
When German journalists asked the very simplistic question on whether Putin considered himself a friend or a foe to the West- he answered neither.

There is the simple concept of national interests, which may or may not be at odds with other countries. Diplomacy is the art of being able to reconcile your national interests, alongside those of other States, compromising on certain aspects along the way.

However, the Atlanticist world view (EU/US/NATO) has shown not to allow for mutual respect, nor for cooperation. Through a number of covert means, they ask for nothing less than for Russia to no longer ascertain its national interests, which makes President Putin #1 Boogeyman in the world today.
