Churkin: UN investigation into Syria chemical attacks full of contradictions and lacks evidence

Moscow finds "unconvincing" the latest report by the UN-led investigation which blamed the Syrian forces of carrying out a chlorine gas attack 19 months ago. The findings, Russia's UN ambassador believes, lack solid proof and substantiated evidence.

Members of the Security Council debated the latest, fourth report by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and the UN's joint Investigative Mechanism (JIM) which purportedly confirmed the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian government.

The report provided assessments on the three pending cases, namely Kafr Zita (April 18 , 2014), Qmenas (March, 16 2015) and Finnish (March 24, 2015). Unable to determine who was responsible for two other chemical weapons attacks, the fourth report accused the government forces of carrying out the chlorine gas attack in Qmenas, in Idlib province.

The newest report states that helicopters allegedly dropped barrel bombs containing chlorine gas. A device, dropped from a high altitude, "hit the ground and released the toxic substance that affected the population," the report said.

Though the report asserted that the helicopters most likely originated from two government-run bases in the area, it "could not confirm the names of the individuals who had command and control of the helicopter squadrons at the time."

Duterte vows not to swear anymore after claiming God told him not to

Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte has once again surprised the media - this time by doing a 180 and swearing off swearing. The leader says God had threatened to bring down his plane if he did not change his ways.

The epiphany came to the Philippines leader on a trip back from Japan, where he had held a historic meeting with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The official three-day visit is the latest in his strategy of inching closer to his regional neighbors, China and Japan.

The leader, who called both Pope Francis and US President Barack Obama "son of a whore" or "son of a bitch" on separate occasions, decided on Thursday on the plane home to part ways with the quality that really made him a man of the world.

He told reporters the revelation came to him late at night, while everyone on the plane had been asleep, and he was looking out the window. Suddenly, a voice interrupted his thoughts.

Ya think? Team Killary feared media questions on Clinton-Cosby comparisons

Leaked email shows staff fretting scandal questions the Democratic candidate might field

Political operative Ron Klain in January sent an "urgent" email to Hillary Clinton's campaign staff warning of possible questions she might face, including how her husband's sexual indiscretions might compare to disgraced comedian Bill Cosby.

Klain's insights became public Thursday thanks to the latest dump by WikiLeaks of campaign Chairman John Podesta's hacked emails. Klain, who served as chief of staff to Vice Presidents Al Gore and Joe Biden, wrote that the campaign needed to set aside time to discuss the political questions, which now seem to be really owning the coverage."

Klain had several under the heading "WJC Issues."

One was particularly harsh: "How is what Bill Clinton did different from what Bill Cosby did?"

EU-Canada CETA trade deal in shambles with Belgium's arbitration revision demand

The crumbling free trade deal between the European Union and Canada may hit another roadblock, even though Brussels managed to find a way out of an impasse with its regions.

The Belgian government admitted on Friday that the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) will only be applied provisionally and will face a challenge to its legality under EU law.

The EU will scrutinize the compromise offered by Brussels to its Wallonia region in order to broker the deal.

In return for Wallonia's support, ministers in Brussels agreed to refer the most controversial aspect of the deal to the European Court of Justice (ECJ) for a ruling. It involves the secret arbitration procedure to solve disputes between corporations and governments.

Leaked emails prove that a Hillary aims to "make Soros happy" - Does a shadow government rule?

Hillary Corruption
If any doubts remain that George Soros is a string-pulling puppeteer who is undermining our constitutional form of government, then here is direct proof that Hillary Clinton, one of the most powerful and corrupt members of the establishment, absolutely hops-to when Soros makes requests.

Democracy That George Soros Can Believe In

A fresh pile of Wikileaks documents gives fuel to the fire that Soros, the "change agent" extraordinaire, is not only ordering State Dept.-backed regime change in the most contentious parts of the world, but that he is injecting cash into a basket of (deplorable) organizations designed to hijack the country, and keep a corrupt Democrat - like Hillary - in power for eight more years.

Among other documents are those that show high level Clinton aides bent over backwards to accommodate pet projects and political issues favored by billionaire George Soros, (and, of course, other "Friends of Bill" pals and Clinton Foundation donors that they hooked up).

Putin: 'Russia influencing US voters? Is America some sort of a banana republic?'

putin incredulous
Russian President Vladimir Putin has rejected allegations that Moscow is trying to meddle with the American presidential vote, saying that the US is no banana republic to allow such a thing.

"Does anyone seriously think that Russia can somehow influence the choice of the American people?" Putin wondered during a meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club in Sochi on Thursday.

"Is America some sort of a banana republic?" he asked rhetorically. "America is a great state. Correct me, please, if I'm wrong."

Comment: It is, but Putin is smart to call their bluff by exposing the unspoken message that if Russia, a 'far weaker country than the mighty US', can influence US elections, then what does that say about America's so-called global superpower status?

The 'Russian card' was used during the American presidential campaign to distract the voters from the real problems currently faced by the US, including the enormous federal debt and police brutality, Putin suggested.

"But apparently the [US] elite has nothing to say to calm public anxiety"over those issues," he said.

"It is far better to distract people's attention to alleged Russian hackers, spies, agents of influence and so on and so forth," Putin added.

US-backed militants deploy 30 'moderate' suicide bombers, 2000 fighters to Aleppo

Moderate rebel terrorist opposition Aleppo Syria
The Western-backed 'moderate opposition' have deployed over 30 car bombs (mostly suicide car bombs) for the Aleppo battle, according to local media activists and pro-militant sources.

Jabhat Fatah al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra) and other 'moderate opposition' groups have already used at least 2 suicide car bombs (also known as suicide vehicle borne improvised explosive devices) and one 'remote-controlled' car bomb since today morning.

Pro-militant sources believe that the suicide bombers should allow the 'opposition' to overcome the Syrian army's firepower and to break the Aleppo siege.

Those trying to escape the jihadist-held areas of eastern Aleppo for the relative calm of the city's west still risk their lives doing so, as the six Russian established corridors are constantly terrorized by militants. Twelve people died and more than 20 others were injured on Thursday, when rebels shelled a humanitarian corridor next to a school in Al-Mashariq district.

The cycle never seems to end - civilians, including many children, are rushed to hospitals filled with choirs of crying mothers and fathers who are dealing with the ultimate pain of losing a child.

An attack by militants on a school in western Aleppo has claimed the lives of at least six children and injured many others. An RT crew visited the scene, as well as the hospital which received the dead and wounded following the deadly assault by rebels.

The attack occurred when a gas canister and a mine landed in a classroom in Ḩadaiq al-Andalus. The projectiles were launched from eastern Aleppo, an area controlled by militants.

RT's Murad Gazdiev traveled to the scene of the attack, with footage showing classroom desks covered in blood. Shattered glass, textbooks, and debris were shown intertwined with human flesh, bearing testament to the brutality of the assault.

Human suffering transcends the political and ideological divide in Syria, which has been at war for over five years. Upon arrival at the hospital which received the dead and wounded, Gazdiev was met with painful screams from mothers and endless tears of sorrow.

Comment: Update Oct. 28: The Russian Ministry of Defense has slammed UNICEF and the West's refusal to acknowledge the attacks, saying:
"At the same time, rebels were shelling a humanitarian aid corridor next to a school in the Al-Mashariq district, which is used to enable civilians to leave the city. Twelve people died, and more than 20 were injured," he added. "Why do UNICEF and certain members of the UN Security Council [UNSC] persistently refuse to pay any attention to that?"

Pat Buchanan: The Establishment is in a Panic

Trump Trust congress
Following the last debate on Oct. 19, the establishment has been in a tizzy over statements made by Donald Trump, who said he would not accept defeat to Hillary Clinton. The fear is that this revolution is bigger than the Donald and that growing numbers of Americans now reject the legitimacy and moral authority of the federal government.

Pressed by moderator Chris Wallace as to whether he would accept defeat should Hillary Clinton win the election, Donald Trump replied, "I will tell you at the time. I'll keep you in suspense."

"That's horrifying," said Clinton, setting off a chain reaction on the post-debate panels with talking heads falling all over one another in purple-faced anger, outrage and disbelief.

"Disqualifying!" was the cry on Clinton cable.

"Trump Won't Say If He Will Accept Election Results," wailed The New York Times. "Trump Won't Vow to Honor Results," ran the banner in The Washington Post.

Pope Francis is turning out to be a surprising, secretive, shrewd manager

Pope Francis
Pope Francis
Father Ernest Simoni, a 88-year-old Albanian, was watching Pope Francis on television this month when, to his astonishment, he heard the pontiff mention his name.

Francis announced that the simple, white-haired Roman Catholic priest, who had spent many years in jail during Albania's communist dictatorship, was to become a cardinal.

It was the first that Simoni, or any of the other 16 new cardinals named by Francis at the same time, had heard of their elevation to the prestigious rank.

"I did not believe either my ears or eyes," Simoni told Reuters in Albania. "The pope said it, but I could not believe it. 'Can he be talking about another Ernest?' I said to myself."

But more significantly, the pope had also kept nearly the entire Vatican hierarchy in the dark about his decision, which he announced on Oct. 9 to thousands of pilgrims.
