Best of the Web: Tulsi Gabbard interview: Why DNC's lack of transparency could mean big problems in the future

Comment: There's only one real Democratic candidate who is sane enough, strong enough, and popular enough to beat Trump...

Democratic presidential contender Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) told Dave Rubin on The Rubin Report Sunday that the Democratic National Committee's primary process is creating a "lack of trust" in voters.

Gabbard and her supporters have questioned the DNC after she failed to qualify for the next Democratic debate. The DNC required candidates to have at least 130,000 unique donors and register at least 2 percent of support in four "qualifying" polls. Gabbard met the donor threshold, but failed to jump the polling hurdle.

The problem is that Gabbard has registered at least 2 percent of support in more than two dozen other reputable polls, leading many to question if she was intentionally kept from participating in the debate after confronting Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) during the last debate.

"What's clear is the system lacks transparency," Gabbard told Rubin. "The whole process is lacking transparency."

Best of the Web: University of Alaska study 'definitively' concludes that fire could NOT have caused the World Trade Center Building 7 collapse on 9/11

WTC building 7
On September 3rd, the University of Alaska Fairbanks released a study on their analysis of the infamous Twin Towers collapse. In it, they found that the third tower's collapse was, "caused not by fire but rather by the near-simultaneous failure of every column in the building."

On September 11th, 2001, World Trade Center Building 7 collapsed in on itself at free fall speed, falling over 100 feet in less than 10 seconds. After the event, the New York City government cleaned up the debris before a full forensic investigation could be done.

This information and more has prompted many family members of victims, architects, engineers, and everyday people to be skeptical of the official narrative surrounding 9/11, that three buildings fell that day based solely on the impact of Al-Qaeda's hijacked planes.

The report, lead by Dr. J. Leroy Hulsey and funded by Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, is currently in draft form until its public comment period ends on November 1st. The final report is expected to be released before the end of the year.
"The principal conclusion of our study is that fire did not cause the collapse of WTC 7 on 9/11, contrary to the conclusions of NIST and private engineering firms that studied the collapse." - Dr. J. Leroy Hulsey

Best of the Web: Christians United for Israel: How the largest pro-Israel organization in the US rose to power

Well before Theodore Herzl founded political Zionism and published The Jewish State, Christian Zionists in the United States and England were already seeking to direct and influence the foreign policy of both nations in service to a religious obsession end times prophecy

Christians United for Israel, John Hagee, Christian zionism
© Sebastian Scheiner | APTexas evangelist John Hagee of Christians United for Israel addresses a crowd of his followers and Israeli supporters at a rally at the Jerusalem convention center, April 6, 2008.
The largest pro-Israel organization in the United States is not composed of Jews, but of Christian evangelicals, with a total membership of 7 million, more than 2 million more members than the entirety of the American Jewish community.

Members of this organization, Christians United for Israel (CUFI), met in Washington on Monday, attracting thousands of attendees and featuring speeches from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Secretary of State and former CIA Director Mike Pompeo, Vice President Mike Pence, and National Security Advisor John Bolton. CUFI's leader, controversial evangelical preacher John Hagee, has met with President Donald Trump several times and was recently part of an exclusive White House meeting in March on the administration's upcoming "peace plan" for Israel and Palestine.

CUFI is but one of many organizations throughout American history that have promoted the state of Israel and Zionism on the grounds that a Jewish ethnostate in Palestine is a requirement for the fulfillment of end-times prophecy and necessary for Jesus Christ to return to Earth — an event Christians often refer to as "the Second Coming."

While organizations like CUFI and its predecessors have long seen the creation of the state of Israel in 1948, and the later Israeli victory and conquest of Jerusalem in 1967, as the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy, there is one prophecy that this sect of evangelical Christians believes is the only thing standing between them and the Second Coming. There are estimated to be more than 20 million of these Christians, often referred to as Christian Zionists, in the United States and they are a key voting bloc and source of political donations for the Republican Party.

Comment: As such, they're not actually Christians. We may as well just distinguish 'Israeli Zionists' from 'American Zionists'.

As was explored in previous installments of this series, these Christian Zionists, much like religious Zionist extremists in Israel, believe that the Al Aqsa mosque and the Dome of the Rock must be replaced with a Third Jewish Temple in order to usher in the end times.

Best of the Web: India-Russia eternal friendship takes a Pacific turn

The India-Russia special partnership is strategic. It is growing in new directions, with implications for both China and the United States.

The twentieth annual summit between India and Russia on September 4 could have been ignored as a ho-hum affair. After all, the steadiness and regularity of meetings between the heads of these two 'special and privileged strategic partners' may not seem like anything new or a departure that is newsworthy.

But think again. Every time the leaders of India and Russia huddle together, something fresh and geopolitically significant emerges.

The latest summit occurred not in Moscow or St. Petersburg but in the Far Eastern city of Vladivostok. Narendra Modi became the first Indian prime minister to visit that part of Russia, signalling the arrival of a new player on the Pacific coast. Modi was also the chief guest at Russia's high-profile Eastern Economic Forum, a platform to attract international investment and involvement in the cold and sparsely populated - but mineral-rich - Far East that Moscow seeks to develop.

Best of the Web: 'It's a tip of an iceberg': Bulgarian journo reveals how US-purchased arms end up with ISIS in Yemen

ISIS tank
Mortar shells shown in an Islamic State propaganda video have put a Bulgarian journalist on the scent of an alleged US-run arms shipping network supplying militants in the Middle East, she told RT in an exclusive interview.

This story began back in June, when Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) terrorists in Yemen demonstrated several Serbian-made 82mm mortar shells in their propaganda video. Independent investigative journalist, Dilyana Gaytandzhieva, believes that the deadly munitions ended up with the jihadists after going through US hands.

Tracing origins

Clearly visible on one of the shells is a mark that reads '82 mm M74HE mortar shells KV lot 04/18.' The letters KV stand for the Serbian state arms manufacturer Krusik, located in the town of Valjevo, while the digits 04/18 refer to lot 04 produced in 2018. One should not jump to any conclusions, however, as it is not the Serbs who were responsible for the shells suddenly appearing in the hands of terrorists, according to Gaytandzhieva.

A trove of "explosive" leaked documents she said she received from an "anonymous source" shows that the lot in question was part of a deal between the Serbian arms factory and a Pentagon contractor, Alliant Techsystems LLC. It was part of a purchase of more than 100,000 such shells "for the needs of the US government."

Comment: This story is bigger than Iran-Contra, but the mainstream media aren't touching it with a ten-foot pole. Gaytandzhieva has uncovered that the U.S. is diverting weapons to al-Qaeda and ISIS - the very terrorists who are supposed to have been the target of the war on terror for the past 18 years. And they're doing so "for the needs of the U.S. government." Just let that sink in. SOTT has been saying this for as long as they've been doing it - but Gaytandzhieva has uncovered the proof. So naturally, the MSM must not cover it at all. That would necessitate some heads to roll - probably an uncomfortably large number, including some at the very top of the U.S. power structure. And that can never happen.

Best of the Web: US Task Force 'Smoking Gun' is smuggling weapons to terrorists in Syria: Serbia Files (Part 2)

Comment: We reposted Part 1 here (original published here).

arms smuggling syria serbia qatar
US Task Force Smoking Gun has transported hundreds of tons of weapons from Europe to Syria via Qatar on Pentagon-commissioned Kalitta Air flights from Rijeka Airport in Croatia.
New leaked documents expose for the first time a secret US Special Operations Command unit code named Task Force Smoking Gun. It has been deployed in Croatia since 2017 and tasked with diverting tons of arms and ammunition from Europe to Syria.

Recently I anonymously received explosive documents about arms deals between the US Government and the Serbian state owned-arms manufacturer Krusik, including contracts, e-mails, internal memos, photos, delivery schedules, and packing lists of weapons with lot numbers and their buyers. Among the leaked documents I also received scanned passports of arms dealers and government officials from the US. They have visited Krusik to buy weapons for the Pentagon 'Train and Equip' program for militants in Syria.

Best of the Web: Before Epstein: Zwi Migdal was a Jewish organized-crime syndicate trafficking women and children for sex slavery

Jeffrey Epstein, Zwi Migdal
The story of Jeffrey Epstein has lost its mystery as more and more commentators allow themselves to express the thought that it is a strong possibility that Epstein was connected to a crime syndicate affiliated with a Zionist political organisation or Israel and/or at least a few compromised intelligence agencies. Whitney Web and others have produced superb studies of possible scenarios, I would instead like to attack the topic from a cultural perspective. Epstein wasn't the first Jewish sex trafficker. This seems like a good time to look back at Zwi Migdal, a Jewish global crime syndicate that operated a century ago and trafficked tens of thousands of Jewish women and under age girls as sex slaves. According to contemporary Jewish writer Giulia Morpurgo the Zwi Migdal had turned Argentina, "into a nightmare of prostitution and exploitation."

During the first three decades of the 20th century Argentina was a rich country. It outgrew Canada and Australia in population, total income, and per capita income. Just before the first world war Argentina was the world's 10th wealthiest state per capita. When Argentina was a rich country, large parts of its economy, culture and politics were controlled by crime syndicates and particularly a Jewish organised crime apparatus named 'Zwi Migdal.'

Comment: Time after time, we have seen how government officials collude with criminals to protect human trafficking networks - they operate with impunity all over the world:

Best of the Web: When vegan influencers quit being vegan, the backlash can be brutal

rawvana vegan
© VICE Staff
Popular YouTubers like Rawvana and Bonny Rebecca gave up veganism to save their health. But the fallout from their fans has been immense.

Last March, vegan YouTuber Yovana Mendoza posted a video on her channel, Rawvana, that rocked her followers to their cores.

"I definitely did not feel ready to talk about this," Mendoza told the camera, her expression solemn.

She had garnered nearly two million subscribers for her raw vegan diet content, but had recently been spotted with a plate of fish and called out for her ostensible hypocrisy. In the video, which has since been made private, she explained that while six years of raw veganism "elevated [her] consciousness," recently, her health had begun to suffer. She lost her period, she was "basically anemic," and she was riddled with digestive issues. Eventually, she said, she couldn't take it anymore, and started eating fish and eggs to alleviate her ailments.

Best of the Web: 'BRICS was created as a tool of attack': Pepe Escobar interviews former Brazilian president Lula

© Dida Sampaio /Agencia EstadoFormer Brazilian leader Lula holds hands with Chinese President Hu Jintao, left, at the BRICS summit in Brasilia on April 15, 2010. Lula wishes his country had a strategic partnership with Beijing.
Curitiba, Brazil In a wide-ranging, two-hour-plus, exclusive interview from a prison room in Curitiba in southern Brazil, former Brazilian president Luis Inacio Lula da Silva re-emerged for the first time, after more than 500 days in jail, and sent a clear message to the world.

Amid the 24/7 media frenzy of scripted sound bites and "fake news", it's virtually impossible to find a present or former head of state anywhere, in a conversation with journalists, willing to speak deep from his soul, to comment on all current political developments and relish telling stories about the corridors of power. And all that while still in prison.

The first part of this mini-series focused on the Amazon. Here, we will focus on Brazil's relationship with BRICS and Beijing. BRICS is the grouping of major emerging economies - Brazil, Russia, India and China - that formed in 2006 and then included South Africa in their annual meetings from 2010.

Best of the Web: CNN openly backing Hong Kong protesters? Outlet publishes handy 'what to wear' guide for activists

hong kong protesters
© Reuters / Edgar Su
Violent demonstrations in Hong Kong have entered their 12th week, but for any would-be protesters who have not yet taken to the streets, CNN recently published a handy how-to guide.

The CNN guide instructs budding protesters on exactly "what to wear" if they want to stay safe, just like the "seasoned pros" who have been pounding the pavements for weeks already.

The provocative protesters' manual is a clear indication that Western media is not merely providing informative news coverage of the anti-China protests, but actively backing and supporting a violent uprising abroad.

CNN's list of must-have protest gear includes goggles ("obscures identity from surveillance cameras"), black T-shirts ("makes it harder for authorities to identify an individual"), gas masks (also "obscures identity") and gloves (to protect hands when "creating barriers against police").
