Snow at Heavenly
A huge snowstorm hitting North America's West Coast has dumped up to 105cm (42") on Californian ski slopes in around 36 hours.

The only ski areas currently open already for the 21-22 season in North America are in Colorado, but now California's Mammoth Mountain says it plans to open two weeks earlier than originally intended, this coming Friday, ready for Halloween weekend. It's not yet clear if other areas will open early, Heavenly (pictured top) has indicated its sticking to its original November opening date.

Mt Rose posted the biggest snowfall so far (38-42″ / 95-105cm) but Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw Valley) came close saying it had had at least three feet (90cm) at the top of the mountain and posted the image below.

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases head Dr. Anthony Fauci claimed Sunday on ABC's This Week that he had never lied or misled about the research funded by the NIH.

This Week With George Stephanopoulos said, "The controversy on if the U.S. is funding risky covered research in Wuhan, was kicked up again this week when the NIH released a letter about that research that showed that the subcontractor had not disclosed some results in a timely manner. Some have seized on that to say you, and others misled the public. The NIH says that is false. Our medical unit backs that up, but Senator Rand Paul steps up that criticism in the interview with Axios on HBO. Let's play that."

New Zealand Prime Jacinda Ardern smiled during an interview late last week when saying that she was effectively creating two different classes of people in her country that have different levels of freedom depending on whether they are vaccinated.

The New Zealand Herald reported last week that Ardern had "announced the country would move into the new traffic light system when each District Health Board has 90 per cent of its population with both doses of the vaccine."

"So, you've basically said, this is gonna be like, well it's almost like, and you probably don't see it like this, [inaudible] two different classes of people, if you're vaccinated or if you're unvaccinated," an interviewer said to Ardern. "You have all these rights if you are vaccinated-"

"That it is what it is," Ardern quickly responded as she smiled. "So, yep. Yep."

Comment: Watching Ardern revel in exercising the power she has accrued to herself, using the the 'pandemic' as an excuse, is truly disturbing And yet:

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) slammed Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the Chief Medical Advisor to the President, on Sunday over a new letter from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) about whether the NIH ever funded gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Vanity Fair reported:
On Wednesday, the NIH sent a letter to members of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce that acknowledged two facts. One was that EcoHealth Alliance, a New York City-based nonprofit that partners with far-flung laboratories to research and prevent the outbreak of emerging diseases, did indeed enhance a bat coronavirus to become potentially more infectious to humans, which the NIH letter described as an "unexpected result" of the research it funded that was carried out in partnership with the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The second was that EcoHealth Alliance violated the terms of its grant conditions stipulating that it had to report if its research increased the viral growth of a pathogen by tenfold.

A Florida school district has altered its mask mandate to include a "parental opt-out," a change it says is due to falling Covid-19 cases. However, it also follows allegations of child abuse.

Brevard County Schools announced this week the mask mandate change was always part of its plan and comes as the county sees a reduction in Covid-19 cases this month.

"This is exactly how the mask mandate was supposed to be used," the county school board chair, Misty Belford, said in the announcement.

Best of the Web: YouTube bans 'Let's Go Brandon' song, claims rap is 'medical misinformation'

Comment: That's some serious bullsh**!!!

TPM-Cover-Photos-Let's go Brandon
A music video criticizing President Joe Biden's handling of the pandemic was removed from YouTube due to "medical misinformation."

On Tuesday, Bryson Gray, a rapper who released a "Let's Go Brandon" song on YouTube, found that his music video had been stricken from YouTube due to what the Big Tech social media giant called "medical misinformation."

This is not the same as another "Let's Go Brandon" song The Post Millennial has previously reported on, which actually went as far as #1 on iTunes hip-hop chart.
"YouTube has banned 'Let's Go Brandon' song from YouTube due to 'medical information,'" Gray tweeted. "What medical misinformation is in the song? Whoa."

Comment: They are just tightening the control over the population by strengthening the censorship. They will decide what we hear, what we see, what is good or bad for us, what we eat, what we drink, and very soon what we think. Humanity is occupied and repressed by psychopaths that rule this reality.

Are we living in the Orwell 1984 society?

Russian President Vladimir Putin made his annual appearance at the Valdai Discussion Club, giving a speech and fielding questions. He appeared in good form mentally, physically, and emotionally - despite the intermittent Western warnings of an ill or mentally inadequate Putin - and gave a performance worthy of an elder statesman. Several points stood out. One is that, contrary to the view that Putin is simply in power to enrich himself and his cronies, Putin clearly came across in this forum and has in others as well as a man interested in ideas and who has his own. I would argue that he has developed a general worldview and view of Russia since coming to power in 2000, when his ideas about politics and history still were not yet clearly formulated.

As Putin ages he appears to be drawn increasingly to themes of history and philosophy, and so he discussed issues related to the history of the Great Patriotic War (World War II), noting his ongoing interest and occasional occupation with historical documents. Regarding philosophy, he repeated his appreciation of early 20th century political philosopher Ivan Ilyin, whose work he keeps on a bookshelf and, he says, he often picks up and reads. Some Western propagandists have done their best to paint Ilyin as a 'fascist' so they can taint Putin to the hilt, as is the wont of much of Western 'thought' about Russia today. Ilyin was opposed to both fascist and communist totalitarianism and supported what he thought of as a Russian - that is, a controlled - form of constitutional republic that would have been more limited than Western models. His first claim to fame was a balanced refutation of Lev Tolstoy's radical pacifism.

Best of the Web: Bipartisan lawmakers demand answers from Fauci about 'cruel' taxpayer-funded experiments on dogs

fauci beagle medical experiments tunisia sand flies
Dr Fauci has been accused of abusing dogs in a $375,800 experiment.
Beagles reportedly had vocal cords removed

A bipartisan group of United States lawmakers demanded answers regarding a report that the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases used taxpayer money to fund "cruel" and "costly" experiments on dogs as young as six months old. The letter regarding possible animal abuse was sent to Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

"We write with grave concerns about reports of costly, cruel, and unnecessary taxpayer-funded experiments on dogs commissioned by National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases," the bipartisan letter signed by 24 lawmakers, spearheaded by Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.), reads.

The letter cites a damning report from the White Coat Waste Project that claims that 44 beagle puppies — all between the ages of six and eight months old — were subjected to "commissioned tests" for a drug. The experiments involved "injecting and force-feeding the puppies an experimental drug for several weeks, before killing and dissecting them."

Comment: Fauci was being called on this three months ago. Why is the story only gaining traction now? Is he being shoved out in the most humiliating manner possible? Remember, people didn't truly get riled up about the botched Afghanistan withdrawal until stories of military dogs being left behind surfaced.

You'll never BELIEVE what happened next. (Or maybe you will.)

For months, Lithuania - once the home of peaceful and surprisingly effective resistance to Soviet tyranny - has engaged in increasingly strict medical fascism.

Adults who refuse the Covid vaccine are essentially barred from work, shopping, and public life. Even food shopping and visits to doctors are difficult. Violators face hefty fines.

A Lithuanian who goes by "gluboco" has catalogued the restrictions:
