Professor Sir Jeremy Farrar's views about how governments should deal with public health crises are broadly the same as those of Dominic Cummings. Both men are frustrated autocrats who believed that from Day One we needed ‘a command-and-control structure’
Professor Sir Jeremy Farrar is a distinguished epidemiologist, a member of the Sage scientific committee, the director of the Wellcome Trust health research charity and an influential government adviser. He is also the most hawkish of lockdown hawks, and he has written a book with journalist Anjana Ahuja, called Spike. It is a revealing read.

Spike is basically about Farrar himself: how he saw it all coming, how he personally forced the Chinese government to release the genetic sequence of the Covid-19 virus that allowed scientists to develop a vaccine, how he warned the world of imminent doom, how the Government could have saved lives by treasuring his words more, and how he risked assassination by the Chinese ('If anything happens to me, this is what you need to know', he told friends).

The talk is all of wars, battle plans, and people heading for precipices. All this is a bit melodramatic and self-obsessed for my taste. but Farrar is a distinguished scientist who means well. He is terrifyingly sincere and really does have the interest of mankind at heart. Therein lies the problem.

There are few more obsessive fanatics than the technocrat who is convinced that he is reordering an imperfect world for its own good.

Over 920 people killed in floods and landslides worldwide in July 2021

In one of the worst months on record, over 920 people have died in floods, landslides and other rain-related incidents worldwide in July 2021.

July this year brought a seemingly endless round of flood disasters across the world. FloodList recorded 124 flood events across 385 locations in more than 20 countries during July.

Flooding caused widespread devastation in some of the worst disasters on record. Homes and livelihoods have been decimated. Tragically over 920 people have lost their lives including 219 in Belgium and western Germany in mid-July; 192 in Mumbai and Maharashtra, India, in late July 2021; 113 in Nuristan Province, Afghanistan in late July; and 99 in Henan Province, China, late July.

High deaths tolls from flooding and landslides were also reported in areas of Pakistan, Iran, Yemen, Japan, Nepal, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, Bangladesh and several states in India including Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh.

A French hospital union boss has said a health pass will not be enough to curb another wave of Covid-19, and urged the government to make vaccination compulsory for everyone.

"We no longer have the luxury of taking half-measures," Frederic Valletoux, the head of the Hospital Federation of France (FHF) and the mayor of Fontainebleau, told Le Journal du Dimanche newspaper.

"Everywhere, the indicators are going up again. The context of the epidemic shows us the limits of intermediate measures."

Comment: Macron is demonstrably wrong, because Israel achieved one of the highest vaccination rates on the planet only to discover that, even according to the official statistics, Pfizer's experimental drug was just 39% effective in preventing infection, and health officials from the UK and Australia have admitted that the majority of those hospitalized were vaccinated. Surely the President of France and his supposedly expert advisors are aware of this data?

Whilst being unaware of the most up to date science would be concerning, it should be even more alarming, and telling, that, despite knowing the injections do not work as has been claimed, they still want to coerce the public into accepting the vaccines and the draconian vaccination passes. That their reasoning does not reflect reality shows that some people in positions of power are hystericized and incapable of logical thought, whilst it's also becoming difficult to deny that there are others pursuing another agenda, nefarious in nature, that has little to do with the official, nonsensical, narrative: Also check out SOTT radio's: NewsReal: Pandemic is Over! When New South Wales Deputy Police Commissioner Gary Worboys raged last week about perceived 'filthy, disgusting and selfish' people among the population of Australia, the only thing that was missing from the scripted, theatrical performance was a mirror.

The same can be said for New South Wales Police Minister, David Elliott, who described government dissenters as 'very selfish boofheads.' The word boofhead is defined by Collin's Dictionary as 'a very stupid person' or 'a person or animal with a large head'. Both definitions can be applied to Elliott. Reading his lines carefully last week as he sported what looked like a cement block on his shoulders, little doubt was left in the minds of anyone who had ever questioned Sigmund Freud's theory of psychological projection.

Australian officials have sent in soldiers to enforce lockdown in Sydney as the country grapples rising infection rates with just 17% of adults vaccinated.


Comment: This low coronavirus injection rate is not due to a lack of availability, this, as is the case across much of the planet, reflects people's refusal to be a guinea pigs in these trials.


Ministers had tried to tackle the pandemic with a zero Covid strategy - a bid to eliminate all cases through isolation and closed borders - but concerns are growing over the virus' continued prevalence.


Comment: The relatively harmless and highly infectious coronavirus is already endemic, so it's not possible to achieve 'zero covid'; politicians elsewhere have admitted as much.


Prime Minister Scott Morrison held out hope of better times with a four-stage plan back to freedom but said 80% of adults would have to be vaccinated before the border can begin to open.

The number of prescriptions for a powerful sedative that can kill the frail doubled at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, raising fears it was used to control elderly residents in stretched care homes - or even to hasten their deaths.

Official figures show out-of-hospital prescribing of the drug midazolam increased by more than 100 per cent in April compared to previous months.

An anti-euthanasia campaigner last night said he suspected that the spike was evidence that many people had been put on end-of-life protocols or 'pathways'.

Whistleblowers also claimed to have witnessed misuse of sedatives, with staff told to give them to dementia patients to stop them wandering the corridors.

Comment: So the spiel that got this ball rolling - "two weeks to flatten the curve and save grandma" - was actually used to kill off grandma and provide statistics with which to 'justify' lockdowns.

Craig Murray begins 8-month prison sentence for thoughtcrime of 'jigsaw identification'

Legal precedent will be set tomorrow as Craig Murray will be the first person to be imprisoned on the charge of jigsaw identification in the UK, and indeed in the entire world. Scotland's second most senior judge, Lady Dorrian, sentenced Murray to 8 months of incarceration following a contempt of court charge for 'jigsaw identification' relating to the trial against Alex Salmond.

In May Lady Dorrian said that in her view Murray had intended to release identities of Salmond's accusers. Mr Murray has always denied any intent to identify and that anybody was actually identified. Murray had not directly identified any of the accusers in the Salmond trial, but Dorrian argued identification may be possible if his reporting of the case was read in connection with other materials in the public domain.

No one aside from Murray was charged with jigsaw identification in connection with the Salmond case, despite the fact that 81% of respondents in a Panelbase survey who believed that they had learned identities, gave mainstream media as the source of their knowledge. Lady Dorrian specifically stated that bloggers and mainstream media should be treated differently, as mainstream media are self-regulated.


Comment: Right...


Murray is the first person to be imprisoned in the UK for a media contempt for over 50 years, and in Scotland for over 70 years.

This blog will be going dark for a few months. The Queen kindly paid for my dinners for over twenty years while I was a British diplomat and Ambassador, and now she is going to be paying for my dinners again. That is very kind, I thought she had forgotten me.

The following is a statement from Nadira [Murray's wife]:

Today is the most heartbreaking day. My husband whose health has been found to not be suitable for prison must hand himself in for detention within hours following the UK Supreme Court's decision not to hear his appeal.

We were extremely hopeful that the Supreme Court would hear his case and had no doubt that this particular case should have been heard given how important and relevant it is in the context of Freedom of Speech in the UK. Instead, the Supreme Court declined to hear it.

Yet again my heart is deeply saddened to find that the UK, once a country which placed great importance on Human Rights issues, has failed to listen to my husband's case. Additionally, the Scottish Court outright dismissed Craig's poor health, having been made aware through the mandatory Social Work report and doctor's reports that his wellbeing would be at risk if forced to go to jail.

At first I tried to come to terms of him being jailed in the hope he would be granted dignified conditions in jail but I am saddened and shocked to learn he could be placed among criminals, with no ability to bring books or enable him to write, with no entertainment allowed. He is being treated like a criminal. This is not a just punishment, this is a deliberate attempt to break the spirit of anyone brave enough to make use of free speech.

Given a pen and paper what do you do? You write in your own voice speaking the truth. Having been with Craig for two decades he has always spent his time and energy highlighting injustices and standing up for what is right, carefully, considerately and consistently.

I was brought up during Soviet times, and post independence in my own country, Uzbekistan. I have witnessed and personally experienced myself what the price of freedom of speech truly is. Opponents were 'disappeared' or it was claimed they had 'taken their own life', or been locked away in asylums. I am filled with fear this pattern is now repeating itself in the UK. It is appalling to see Craig is going through the same treatment in the so-called 'human rights' respecting country UK.

This is an attack on Truthtellers. His writings are those of a highly qualified Journalist, Human Rights Activist, former Rector of Dundee University and former British Ambassador. To us, his family, this situation is devastating: I am now left with my 5 months old baby, yet to find a good way to explain Craig's jail sentence to his confused and anxious 12 year old son.

Murray's imprisonment could be punishment for his support of Julian Assange, but it may also be motivated by the power struggle in Scotland between the Scottish National Party - which has dithered on independence since the UK security services rigged the referendum in 2014 - and the 'old guard' represented by Alex Salmond, which is trying to rescue genuine nationalist independence from the jaws of mediocrity, Covid-1984 and perpetual corruption.

And We Should Trust 'The Science' of the Pharma Industry?

The forever-head of the US NIAID, Tony Fauci, has repeatedly demanded that the public "trust the science" as he shifts his own science opinion from one positon to another. What is never mentioned in mainstream media in the West or almost anywhere in the world is the scientific record of the major global vaccine making pharmaceutical giants. In short, it is abysmal and alarming in the extreme. That alone should prohibit governments from pushing radical untested experimental injections on their populations without extensive long-term animal and other testing to assure their safety.

This past April as the US vaccination program was in high gear, the Biden chief covid adviser, 80-year-old Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) since 1984, announced that the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had decided to order a "pause" on giving the Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccine in order to examine reports of blood clots. It turned out that there were six reported blood clot cases of some seven million who then had had the J&J covid jab. Fauci in his press remarks declared, "one of the things that's, I think, such a good thing about our system here, is that we're ruled by the science, not by any other consideration." There is good reason to question Fauci.

That was supposed to reassure people that the authorities were being ultra-careful with the experimental covid medications which, after all, never have been mass-tested on humans before and have only gotten "emergency use authorization," provisional FDA approval. The FDA quickly lifted the pause as J&J agreed to print that its vaccine could cause blood clots.

Yet at the same time, rival vaccine makers, Pfizer and Moderna, both using a hyper-experimental genetic treatment known as mRNA, were not being paused by "the science" despite the fact that hundreds of thousands of alarming vaccine-related severe reactions, including official data of several thousand deaths from both, had been recorded by CDC data base, VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System).

Michel-Ange Flori, who owns about 400 billboards in the southern département of the Var, wrote on Twitter on Wednesday: "I have just learnt that I will be heard at the Toulon police station tomorrow following a complaint by the president of the Republic."

"So in Macronia you can make fun of the prophet's ass, that's satire, but to make the president look like a dictator is blasphemy," he added.

The Toulon prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into a defamatory poster which conflates images of French President Emmanuel Macron and Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, amid criticism of ongoing Covid-19 restrictions.

A billboard seen on the outskirts of Toulon and La Seyne-sur-Mer, displaying an image of French President Emmanuel Macron dressed in a Nazi uniform and sporting Adolf Hitler's trademark toothbrush moustache, has caught the attention of the city's prosecutor, according to local media reports.

Is the comparison merited? In the meantime, the grounds for imposing mandatory vaccination are being prepared:
"We have entered a fourth wave of the virus," government spokesman Gabriel Attal said on Monday. Though the daily number of new cases remains around four times lower than in April, Attal said that the rate of increase is picking up.

"We are starting from the bottom but this wave can go up very quickly and it can go up very high," he said, noting that the current incidence rate of 86 cases per 100,000 people represents an increase of 125% over last week.

Attal spoke after France's Council of Ministers voted to adopt a bill extending the country's health pass and implementing mandatory vaccination for certain workers, for example those in the healthcare sector. The health pass, which records vaccination status or a recent negative test result, is currently needed to enter leisure venues with more than 60 people, and will be necessary from next month to enter bars and restaurants or travel on trains.

The measures, announced last week by President Emmanuel Macron, have proven unpopular. Protesters took to the streets of French cities last week to decry the "vaccine passports," with rioting and arson breaking out at some locations.

In his address last week announcing these measures, Macron said that if inoculation rates do not pick up, he will "ask the question of compulsory vaccination for all French people."
