Best of the Web: Russia's COVID coup d'etat

russia covid qr
One can't help but feel a certain kinship with Mikhail Delyagin, the State Duma deputy who perfectly captured the zeitgeist of our era while sizing up the omnipotent sanitary doctors and thespian technocrats lording over Russia.

"The state now speaks so boorishly to the people. This is how they talk to the population of the occupied territories, who for some reason do not understand that they are occupied," the Russian lawmaker said in a recent video message.

According to Delyagin, the adoption of a nationwide digital "health" pass — which is expected to occur in the coming weeks — would in essence transfer external management of Russia to Big Pharma and Big Tech.

His provocative analysis was promptly scrubbed from YouTube.

Best of the Web: Whistleblower reveals how hystericised BBC staff abandoned balanced Covid reporting in favor of pushing for lockdowns

Charlie Walsham is the pseudonym of a BBC News employee who has worked at the Corporation for several years. No fee has been paid for this article.
I have been a BBC journalist for many years, and in that time I have been committed to impartiality and the corporation's Reithian values to inform and educate. My despair about the BBC's one-sided coverage of the pandemic though has been steadily growing for some time. And in early December, as I listened to a BBC radio broadcast, I felt the corporation reach a new low.

During a morning phone-in show on 5Live the topic of discussion was Covid jabs and whether they should be mandated, or if punitive action should be taken against those who refuse them, such as imposing lockdowns on the unvaccinated. Setting aside the fact that these authoritarian measures are now considered a matter for breezy debate, I at least expected a balanced discussion.

This was wishful thinking on my part, as 'Michael from Birmingham' - a caller - was about to find out. Michael told the host he hadn't been vaccinated because he didn't trust 'the data' and cited historic incidents of documented corporate malfeasance by pharmaceutical giants to explain why he was concerned. Now you may disagree with Michael, or think him completely deluded, but he was still a person who had genuine fears about the vaccine and its safety. Yet instead of holding a reasoned debate with his concerned caller, the host immediately lost his temper, talked over Michael, implied he was a flat-earther and then muted him entirely.

Comment: It's likely that many of these observations are applicable to not just the already ideologically possessed, and therefore psychologically vulnerable, BBC staff, but to news rooms, and all kinds of people across the globe.

For more on the psychological dynamics that have helped keep this manufactured crisis going for 20 months - and counting - despite all the evidence to the contrary, and the clear devastation the lockdowns are wreaking, see: The Psychorium: A needed new analytical tool in the study of pathocracy

Best of the Web: The dangerous futility of US military aid and NATO aspirations for Ukraine

Ukraine NATO
© Sputnik / Mikhail Markiv

Key points
  1. Since the 2014 Russian annexation of Crimea, the U.S. has provided $2.5 billion in military aid to Ukraine. Continued security assistance prolongs the conflict and heightens U.S.-Russia tensions.
  2. Russia shares a 1,200-mile border with Ukraine and views the prospect of Kyiv joining NATO and basing U.S. and allied forces there as a threat. Russia will absorb significant costs — monetary and human — to prevent this outcome.
  3. A resolution in Ukraine that does not account for Russia's concerns is unrealistic; therefore, U.S. and European leaders should account for them, starting with ruling out Ukrainian accession to NATO.
  4. Because of the risk of escalation, potentially to nuclear war, the United States should seek détente with Russia and support the establishment of a neutral, non-aligned Ukraine that serves as a buffer state between Russia and the West.
Repeating the same mistakes in Ukraine

President Biden met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House in September 2021 and reiterated the U.S. commitment to Ukraine's territorial sovereignty. The meeting suggests the Biden administration intends to continue the failed policy of his two predecessors: providing piecemeal security assistance to Ukraine and supporting its eventual accession to NATO.

Best of the Web: Meet Ray Epps, Part 2: Damning new details emerge exposing massive web of unindicted operators at the heart of January 6

Comment: Revolver News has brought Pulitzer-level investigative skills to bear on the January 6 Capitol Hill false flag. Make sure to read Part One.

Six weeks ago, Revolver News published a blockbuster investigative report on Ray Epps — a man who, more than any other individual, appears to be the key unlocking the question of active federal involvement in the so-called "Capitol Siege" of January 6th.

Out of all of the thousands of January 6's protesters, and the thousands of hours of publicly available footage from that fateful day, Ray Epps has turned out to be perhaps the only person nailed dead to rights confessing on camera to plotting a pre-planned attack on the Capitol. On both January 5 and January 6, Epps announced multiple times, at multiple locations, his upcoming plot to breach the US Capitol. He then spent hours attempting to recruit hundreds of others to join him. On top of it all, Epps was seen leading key people and managing key aspects of the initial breach of the Capitol grounds himself.

Comment: Thank you Revolver!

Best of the Web: Alarming safety, ethical, and efficacy concerns surround WHO authorization of first malaria vaccine RTS,S

Plasmodium parasites are as stealthy as pathogens come. The malaria-causing single-celled organisms have been adapting to the human lineage for longer than our species has existed, giving them millions of years of training in evading our immune systems and — until recently — an unshakable advantage over vaccine developers.

While SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, only has 29 proteins, Plasmodium species have thousands. SARS-CoV-2's spike protein, which it uses to invade human cells, is an obvious bullseye for vaccines, but Plasmodium is a moving target.

Comment: Is the spike protein an 'obvious bullseye', considering how ineffective and fraught with severe side effects the experimental Covid jabs are?

After mosquitoes inject Plasmodium sporozoites into the bloodstream, the parasites hide away and multiply in liver cells, from which they emerge as bloodborne merozoites, which commence fever-inducing invasions of red blood cells. Some of the parasites shapeshift yet again and are picked up through mosquito bites. For each life stage, Plasmodium transforms its cloak of proteins — a challenge to vaccinologists. Many vaccine efforts have failed in the past.

Best of the Web: UK professor: 'A climate of dread around Covid is deliberately being manufactured by scientists and my fellow medics'

ANGUS DALGLEISH
Professor Angus Dalgleish
Professor Chris Whitty is often praised for his measured tones and his lack of melodrama.

But those qualities were absent when he spoke at the Downing Street Press conference on Wednesday evening.

Updating the nation on the Omicron variant, Whitty's words were the equivalent of pressing a giant panic button.

Comment: Bravo. Professor Dalgleish is one of the virologists who showed Covid-19 showed the genetic "fingerprints" of being man-made. It's important to have voices like this being amplified by the corporate media. We can only hope for more.

Best of the Web: Who's the world's sole imperial power - the country with one overseas military base or the one with 750?

china

The Guardian thinks China is building a global empire and that American imperialism is somehow over. Yet, with the latter stationing its military in more than 80 countries around the globe, the facts state otherwise.

Another cartoonishly ridiculous anti-China propaganda piece has been published in the Western mass media, this time by The Guardian, which, at this point. could arguably be labeled the single most destructive promulgator of empire propaganda in the Western world. It is authored by Simon Tisdall, who could most certainly be labeled the single most destructive promulgator of empire propaganda at The Guardian.

The article is headlined "In China's new age of imperialism, Xi Jinping gives thumbs down to democracy" and has the subhead "Beijing is aiming for global ascendancy - but its leader's vision of world dominion is centralised, oppressive and totalitarian." None of these claims are substantiated in the text that follows.

Best of the Web: Lake Tahoe received up to 8.5 FEET of snow in 5 days

Just last week, the mountains of the Sierra Nevada were bare and brown. Leaves were long gone. We were in a holding pattern, just waiting and waiting for water to fall from the sky. A surprise storm in October blessedly drenched the Sierra Nevada, but after that, almost six weeks passed with hardly any precipitation.

Today, the scenery looks entirely different. The Sierra Nevada mountains are painted white. Roads are like tunnels between tall snowbanks. Tree boughs are heavy with snow. And the mountains are donning a white coat, winter's finest.

Lake Tahoe received somewhere between 4 and 8.5 feet of snow in five days, according to Bryan Allegretto, who forecasts and tracks snowfall in the Lake Tahoe region for Open Snow. On Thursday morning, snowflakes continued to fall lightly, a quiet cap to a fierce storm that jump-started winter from hardly a pulse to fully alive.

Best of the Web: Will Fed Crash Global Financial Markets for Their Great Reset?

Wall street bull
It's looking increasingly likely that the US Federal Reserve and the globalist powers that be will use the dramatic rising of inflation as their excuse to bring down the US financial markets and with it, crash the greatest financial bubble in history. The enormous inflation rise since the malicious political lockdowns and the trillions of dollars in emergency spending by both Trump and Biden, coupled with the continuation of the Fed's unprecedented near-zero interest rate policies and asset purchases of billions in bonds to keep the bubble inflated a bit longer - have set the stage for an imminent market collapse. Unlike what we are told, it is deliberate and managed.

Supply chain disruptions from Asia to normal truck transport across North America are feeding the worst inflation in four decades in the USA. The stage is set for the central banks to bring down the debt-bloated system and prepare their Great Reset of the world financial system. However this is not an issue of inflation as some mysterious or "temporary" process.

The context is key. The decision to crash the financial system is being prepared amid the far-reaching global pandemic measures that have devastated the world economy since early 2020. It is coming as the NATO powers, led by the Biden Administration, are tipping the world into a potential World War by miscalculation. They are pouring arms and advisers into Ukraine provoking a response by Russia. They are escalating pressures on China over Taiwan, and waging proxy wars against China in Ethiopia and Horn of Africa and countless other locations.

Best of the Web: 'Storm of the season' dumps record-breaking rainfall on Southern California and snowfall in the mountains - 6 FEET of snow reported

Streets flooded in North Hollywood's Arts District and other neighborhoods.

The normally constrained L.A. River roared to life, sucking vehicles down its surging waters and swamping the small islands that dot the middle of the urban waterway near Atwater Village. A man in Sylmar had to be rescued after he got swept up into its flow.

Trees were toppled in Whittier, while homeless people who normally occupy benches near the Civic Center stop downtown huddled in an alcove in an effort to stay dry.

The most significant storm of the season arrived in Southern California on Tuesday with a wallop — snarling traffic, delivering gusty winds and dropping a steady deluge of record-breaking rain and snow across the region.

"As far as intensity, it's one of our stronger storms," said Kristan Lund, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Oxnard. "It's definitely the strongest we've seen so far, and potentially one of the stronger ones we'll see this season."
