RWB Auctions' director Jon White couldn't see anyone when the security system detected movement at 2am on Saturday morning in Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire.
But the 54-year-old was 'perplexed' when he checked CCTV footage the next day to see a 1950s pram appearing to slowly move on its own across the room.
The item is up for auction today at a starting price of £30 and Jon says his scared staff can't wait for someone to take it off their shaking hands.
He posted the video on TikTok where it's been seen almost 200,000 times and even attracted attention from ghost hunters who want to visit the auction house.
Paranormal sceptic Jon says he 'can't find any explanation' for the event but people have speculated the ghost of a previous owner may have 'possessed' the pram or be pushing it. The pram comes from a property in the medieval area of Highclere, Hampshire, where Downton Abbey is famously set.
Jon said: 'When I saw it I was perplexed so I sent it to staff and they went into meltdown.
'After Wednesday we'd like to get it gone and as an auction house we don't accept returns so if it does turn out to be possessed it's not our problem.
'The admin staff want it gone sooner rather than later. They're c***ing themselves.
'It comes from a large house in Highclere and it's reported to be an area that gets a lot of paranormal activity. We didn't know about that.
'There's a divide between people who believe it [is paranormal] and those who think it's a load of rubbish but I'm on the fence.
'I'm a sceptic but I can't find an explanation and it's generating interest, which I'm happy to get behind.'
Jon says locals have been in touch to say the building itself, which used to be a supermarket, is haunted.
The spooky CCTV footage has more than 1,200 reactions and 130 comments, with people left spooked by the footage.
One person commented: 'Why am I seeing this just before bedtime?'
A second said: 'I would never buy second-hand items, antique or not. We leave energy in everything we touch?'
A third added: 'How do we buy this pram?' However one said: 'Invisible string.'
A second questioned: 'Is this real?', and RWB Auctions replied: 'You're seeing what we saw.'
