Distrust boils between Netanyahu and IOF: Israeli media

Ynet reports that the Israeli government is having difficulty reaching unified decisions on central issues.

The Israeli Ynet news website reported that at least three ministers are considering resigning from Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu's government because of finding him responsible for the deteriorating conditions.

Ynet also reported that the "Kiryat Shmona" settlement has become like a ghost town, with empty streets and settlers living in panic and fear. Those who were evacuated from there have found no accommodations in hotels, a settler told Ynet.

According to the news website, Netanyahu is hesitant about a ground operation because he fears two simultaneous fronts getting involved. Hezbollah could drag "Israel" into a long-term war that would have little costs on the resistance, in respective to those that would be perpetrated against the occupation, Ynet reported.

On its front page today, Yedioth Ahranot newspaper wrote:

"After 17 days of the attack on Israel, everyone is trapped. Prime Minister Netanyahu is mad at the army, blaming it for everything that happened, and he finds it difficult to decide on entering Gaza. According to witnesses at the army command headquarters, the discussion is not focused, and no one is managing the civilian effort.

"The strained relationship between Netanyahu and Gantz makes the operation very difficult. The Israeli government is having difficulty reaching unified decisions on central issues."

Yesterday, the IOF spokesperson talked of "disagreements regarding the timing of the ground operation in the Gaza Strip" and "the crisis of trust that emerged between Netanyahu and the Israeli army, inside the shrinking and expanding cabinet."

With regard to the issue of distrust, Yedioth Ahranot commented saying: "Houses can be rebuilt, but trust is difficult to rebuild."

The newspaper pointed out that the war on Gaza has caused confusion and disagreement between the head of the government and the army, creating a crisis of trust between a furious Netanyahu and the IOF officials, whom he holds responsible for everything that happened.

"Netanyahu deals with the opinions and assessments expressed by the military officers with reluctance and delays in adopting the plans they present."

Meanwhile, inside the Israeli army, they say that the blame falls on the political leadership for not setting clear goals for the army, which doesn't know when it has achieved its objectives or when "Israel" has won. Netanyahu and Gantz promised to "eliminate Hamas from Gaza" but did not explain the practical meaning of this commitment.

Israeli media also mentioned that Netanyahu met with Reserve General Isaac Brick for the second time since the beginning of the war. Brick, who opposes a ground invasion of Gaza, has been warning for years of problems about the efficiency of the IOF and its readiness for war.

During his first meeting with Netanyahu, he called for a delay in the ground invasion into the Gaza Strip, in preparation for a multi-front war, a warning he has issued for years and continues to do.

Additionally, the Israeli radio station 103 FM mentioned that former Israeli Security Minister Moshe Ya'alon opposes a ground invasion of the Gaza Strip, saying:

"The current situation must be stopped before we pay a higher price. If there's anything I regret about 'Operation Protective Edge,' it's that we entered. There's no magic solution, neither political nor military. I don't know how they'll change Hamas."

Comment: If there is as much opposition forming against Netanyahu's mandates as this article indicates, his command to annihilate will be swift and to its worst degree.

Gator Same as Europe, I sense that was the plan all along, lead the western nations into a 'ethno-religious" war with Islam, so mutual destruction helps Jews destroy both it's enemies, the Europeans.....who historically expelled Jews enmasse for Usary and Child abduction incidents (blood libel) and Islam for building a Mosque on their beloved area they plan on building a third temple.

Thing is though, alot of Muslims have been indirectly funding the Zionist Jewish Israeli by working and living in Western countries, rely on westerners as the largest demographic using their services shops, fast food, taxis and some other wares, highly addictive and life destroying class A's, so kinda financially rely on us and for benefits like social security, which helps them have large families but not so good during a war over resources, so not sure what Islam would gain fighting people in the same financial climate when both sides could benefit from peaceful means/barter etc.

All I know is the Jews will be putting on their camourflage now and won't hang around for any muh-antisemitism/pogroms.

While I tend to agree with your sentiments, israel will lose....it is only a country to them.

Jews actually have NO LOYALTY to the geographical country they are in WHERE EVER THEY GO, even if Israel was totally destroyed, I mean flattened and left barren, the Jew will simply spread accross the whole world (diaspora) and the Jew can and will easily shed their "Israeli" and "Zionist" skin and slither away and become Russian, Australian, Irish, Lebanese, Egyptian, Austrian or Swiss.....or even Ukrainian......simply reinvented as ANYTHING they choose.

I personally don't see the value in associating people who call themselves "Jews" with a "race". In my view we are all part of the human race. Those who wine and dine people, kill them, and steal their names, are tactics of mafia control. They are not virtues that most people including many who call themselves Jews would agree with. Bibi has changed the courts in Israel so he can avoid corruption charges and forced the whole population to get the covid jab. The state of Israel's people under Bibi has not been good. TBoris I personally think the very people who are a "race" will prevent you or I from discussing Jews as a "race", not that I see value in being unfairly moderated on behest of a name changer, but after all they ultimately see value in keeping people from discussing "race" for the unfair advantage it gives them in preventing all areas being discussed on online discourse, but then again my accuser sees value in the anti-semitic, racist nazi adhominems, which are truely weaponized words, where as I cannot even discuss Jews as a race on the principle it is the one thing they collectively unite over, strange eh, must be a coincidence.

Have you ever considered the reason why these same people do the same things everywhere they go is not because of the titles, names and present time language changes but IS BECAUSE of their traits, primarily set by their racial heritage?
