Congress is poised to go over troves of UFO data released by the US along with testimony from whistleblowers and experts.
A former top US intelligence officer says defense officials told him UFOs have been recovered — and that bombshell details about the extraterrestrial craft are set to be revealed to Congress on Wednesday.

"I've been told that we have recovered technology that did not originate on this Earth, by officials in the Department of Defense and by former intelligence officials," said Christopher Mellon, the former deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence, to NewsNation's Chris Cuomo Monday night.

David Grusch, an Air Force veteran and former intelligence official, claims the US has conducted secret UFO retrieval missions for decades.
Mellon said UFO whistleblower Dave Grusch, a former intelligence official, is set to drop explosive new testimony before Congress regarding the Pentagon's alleged spacecraft retrieval program this week.

"The objective here, I think, and the opportunity, is for the American people to come to better understand why it is that so many in Congress actually take seriously the idea that there are UFOs, UAP [unidentified aerial phenomena] that are violating US airspace and the associated rumor, allegation, that we may have in our possession off-world technology recovered from someone else's space program," Mellon said.

Mellon, who famously leaked video of three UFOs to the New York Times in 2017, added that he does believe Grusch's claims that the US has recovered spacecraft from around the world with the help of foreign leaders.

Mellon has admitted to being the source of the 2017 leak showing three UFOs encountered by the Department of Defense.
Grusch, 36, an Air Force veteran and former intelligence official, claimed last month that one of the saucers procured by American officials over the decades came from World War II Italian dictator Benito Mussolini after a tip from Pope Pius XII.

"Nineteen thirty-three was the first recovery in Europe, in Magenta, Italy," he told NewsNation. "They recovered a partially intact vehicle, and the Italian government moved it to a secure airbase in Italy until around 1944, 1945.

"The pope back-channeled that and told the Americans what the Italians had, and we ended up scooping it," Grusch said of the alleged post-war mission.

Grusch is set to speak and provide further explanations to the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday.

He will be joined by Ryan Graves, an ex-Navy pilot and executive director of Americans for Safe Aerospace, and David Fravor, a former commanding officer of the Black Aces Squadron with the US Navy.

Claims that the US has acquired alien UFOs have been officially disputed by government higher-ups, who say there is no evidence America has ever acquired non-terrestrial technology.

Dr. Sean M. Kirkpatrick, director of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, previously testified to Congress that there was "no credible evidence thus far of extraterrestrial activity" or "off-world technology."

Mellon disagreed with him and said it was the House Oversight Committee's job to deal with the conflicting testimonies between Kirkpatrick and Grusch.

"Congress is in the middle and they've got to sort it out," Mellon said of the upcoming hearing.
