Narrative has shifted: Fauci says US is exiting "full blown" phase of covid and CNN health expert calling for end to mask mandates

The U.S. is exiting the "full-blown" pandemic phase of the years-long COVID-19 crisis that began in 2020, the Biden administration's chief medical adviser Anthony Fauci told the Financial Times on Tuesday.

Fauci, who is the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said that new developments that limit COVID-19, including vaccinations, medical treatments and prior infection, will alter the pandemic situation significantly in the coming months.

"As we get out of the full-blown pandemic phase of COVID-19," Fauci said to the Times. "Which we are certainly heading out of, these decisions will increasingly be made on a local level rather than centrally decided or mandated. There will also be more people making their own decisions on how they want to deal with the virus."

Fauci said that he hopes all COVID-19 restrictions will be halted in the coming months as well, citing mandatory mask-wearing as one of the restrictions he expects to end. He agreed that restrictions might end in 2022.

Nonetheless, Fauci warned that local health departments might bring back certain restrictions if regional outbreaks occur.

"There is no way we are going to eradicate this virus," said Fauci, according to the Times. "But I hope we are looking at a time when we have enough people vaccinated and enough people with protection from previous infection that the COVID restrictions will soon be a thing of the past."

More than 900,000 Americans have died of COVID-19 since 2020. However, COVID-19 cases are currently rapidly decreasing.

Comment: CNN medical expert Dr. Leana Wen recently tweeted in favor of ending mask mandates. Not because masks don't work, but to "preserve medical authority." She correctly observes that people are more likely to accept later restrictions coming from "public health authorities" if they were first given back some of their liberty and autonomy:

A worldwide tactical retreat, after the pushback by us commoners becomes too much to handle. If we let this slip, this creeps come back next autumn, with stricter measures and more mandates.

codis The secondary motive is money making. It has backfired in one area, it has forever discredited vaccines, the media and politicians. There is a whole section of society that will forever remember and avoid. It will not stop them pressing their agenda for it is far bigger than health. It is on Hitlarian scale. We surely agree on that.

I can't see how they want to pick up the vaxxes in 6 to 9 months, though. Many more will die, and quite a few of them in the limelight. And while not all people might grasp the fact that the shots were intentionally designed to kill, the huge number of "side effects" and deaths will become public. And that this information was deliberately suppressed through a widespread effort of politicians, jounalists, and healthcare professionals.

I think the vaxx phase is over, they cannot get the worms back into the can.

But they will try something different. Like economic/financial unrest and war.

codis I sense the same. Where they say take the fight local....they got their foot in the door, now they are talking their way in, the door should never of been opened for them and that little act of invitation has been ceased upon.

They are going from Macro managing to the Micro managing stage, neighbourhood policing strategies (local snitching/formenting distrust locally) because this always has given the right pre-occupation for re-grouping at the top, but like Ive been saying....public anger if it is not controlled properly on an individual scale will be all they need to create the right atmosphere for chaotic and desperate behaviour.

The local government authorities will be given the reigns and will now take all the public heat or be able to pin all the fallout on the unvaxxed with careful propaganda/seemingly grassrooted group think.

In 2019 43811 people died of pneumonia. In 2021 711 thousand. This is flat pneumonia without kovid and flu

PDX Can't remember the name of the article here.

But it stated that now, like in similar dictatorial societies, the population consists of 3 groups of about equal size. One is convinced that governments can't do wrong, and support any action from the base of their empty heart. The second group are opportunists that go along, just to avoid trouble or lose their conveniences. And the third recognizes the evilness, and resist to varying degrees.

While it's easy to spot little Nazis of the first group, I had met quite a few followers (second group) in my life, who told me directly to the face that they don't want to know, and don't want to think about it. Over the last year, they took the vaxx to keep their conveniences, or out of peer pressure.

In the context of the vaxx "side effects", I agree that this definitely falls into the "moron" category.

The Darwin Award is awaiting them.

Christian83 The only link I have seen for myself is people who regard forms of authority without verification, for want of a better term, those who lack some way of verification regarding someones motive and avoid checking because that trust (even if simply repetition or the way they have been taught).

Interesting theory. I was going to say that I became suspicious of all things government after 9/11. I was 18 at the time and that was the main thing that woke me up albeit it did take a year or two for me to fully wake. But I never had any jabs when a baby and when they tried giving us jabs in secondary school I bunked of that day, not because I was awake, I was only 14ish at the time but because I had a bad gut feeling about them. I’ve always listened to my hunches and invariably been right to do so. So while I think your on to something I can’t remember a specific thing that would have caused me to be wary, just good ol fashioned intuition I guess.

My mom and my wife fall into the same category. Luckily I could "wield my influence" and keep them from getting jabbed.

A workmate of mine is such a "tag-along" as well. He took the shot for a holiday vacation, about 4 months ago. By sheer coincidence, he called in sick this week ...

But...cast your mind back to the Blair days....the biggest protest to date in thr UK being the anti-Iraq war march, never been so uniting in the people on one point of empathy, however....what did it achieve? Nothing. Because who ever has the most force will be able to coerce and threaten or manoeuvre those who have no desire to do the same, or are defensless.

we all forget the urgency by these evil people is a massive clue to time and decision making. These people have a goal, very evil goal to achieve, while those they work against are relatively peaceful and passive, many defensless. Non compliance can go along way....but without that physical defence its just a matter of time. The real forcing of people has hardly started yet.
