Climate alarmists want to redesign our entire civilization, economic system, lifestyle and energy infrastructure - without any debate. Carl Sagan said "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." In this video I show that Arctic alarmist claims are indeed extraordinary - but only in their deception.
"Extraordinary Claims' is a bullshit quote which is SOP for folks who wich to NOT LOOK AT ANY EVIDENCE AT ALL - by first proclaiming your conclusions to be 'extraordinary claims.'
Rowan Cocoan I think the quote works, like for both sides of the climate debate! as well as for new hypotheses in geology, archaeology, astronomy, you name it. The problem is when some 'scientists' are believers in whatever traditonal view or have an agenda and are in those cases deaf to evidence or even discussion.
Dus7 " those cases deaf to evidence or even discussion."
Yep. Excactly those follks who say - early on - you're making an extraordinary claim as a way to shut down the debate.
For example, my ultimate point might be to prove that 9/11/2001 was an inside job. WTC7 proves that more than any ofther fact.
As a subpart of waking people up to that, I'll be only discussing WTC7. The common cognitive dissonance reactiion, when the hearer realiized the logical end poibnt is "inside joob" they'll start crying about 'extraordinary claimse require..yada yada yada'"
In the end it's most commonly used by those who wish to avoid a fair debate about anything which leads to a 'controversial' (i.e., non-MSM/Non-'Official Story.'
Beyond that, we're getting into semantics. In my opinion, it's a cant long since become an 'unreasonable way by a listener to subconsciously prevent the listener from having to face logic,
ChewyBees While the future is always unknown and change inevitable, we can make 'educated' guesses' because a lot depends on it, from carrying spare 'tires' when traveling to planting crops to raising children. We combine our own experience and instinct with scientific opinion and forecasts. I discount religious or other prophecy and also realize that instinct and science are not as reliable as they could be. Humankind has for millennia been trying to see into the future in order to prepare for it, and we still are.
Earth has been good at managing her system, without missing a beat.
If humans are responsible for any change in Earth's system, she will get rid of them,
until she is satisfied she will 'regroup' her balance.
