Also, I wonder if the best measurement of people's sources of meaning should require ranking. I would think meaning comes from many sources and over time. During our lives we notice meaningful things everywhere we go - a good color of house paint, a few words shared with a homeless person, a sunset, conversation with loved ones, working with animals, reading cool stuff online, cooking a new dish, admiring flowers, a religious gathering, and a zillion more, and from all this we form and re-form a template of Life and can ponder how we want our own lives to be.
Meaning is everywhere, and if it doesn't feel that way sometimes, maybe it's because we got tangled up in someone else's assertions of what we should and shouldn't do and feel. Adulthood is the privilege and responsibility of finding one's own path and meaning. I don't see how it can be ranked; perhaps those polled may have heard and responded to "What means the most to you?" which is different, really.
