More than 3,000 migrants are demanding they be let into Mexico, and ultimately through to the US, with many heard chanting "We want to work!" Others shouted, "We are not smugglers, we are immigrants!"
Most of the migrants are from Honduras, but some have joined the caravan from other Central American countries.
On Thursday, Trump referred to the caravan as an "assault on our country," citing "criminal elements and drugs pouring in." He encouraged Mexico to "stop this onslaught."
He later thanked Mexico for sending police and riot gear to the Mexico-Guatemala border, saying that the US looks forward to working with the country.

The liberal progressive crowd could use tens of millions of extra votes. Twenty five years' time and they would not be able to lose national elections after the demographic changes occur then multiply, (minorities have more than two kids usually, whites not so much... look at the birthing trends, white americans are UNDER the zero pop growth rate) and raise another generation of six kids per family who owe their good fortunes to federal subsidies and immigration laws heralded by the democrats...... THIS IS THE GOAL. (grossly generalized, but not racist, and total truth.) Devout catholic families like from latin america and mexico have HUGE families.
Unfortunately the progressives are becoming fascist, divisive, and way too polarizing in their quest to act like they care about the minor demographics such as sexually confused people, illegal immigrants, super easily offended people, and everyone who thinks they deserve a good living with no effort at all.
I am not taking sides in this comment. I am just pointing out an observation.
