Here in The Netherlands we are rather traditional I think. Some of the things you speak about are a non-issue here. My first child had to be delivered in the hospital. Just in time. We were innocently opting for a home delivery. That went not so good. Ambulance stress. The midwife was there and she delivered our daughter very professionally. And stitched my wife very carefully in every layer of her femininity. (she had to be cut a little, uh). I waited for the blood to leave the umbilical cord before I cut it. Midwife was very ok with that. All the grease had to be left on the girl, especially in the rumples (?). And she was immediately put on the breasts after birth. That is very important. Searching for nipples ... it is like nature delivers.

My second child had the notion to turn around at the last minute. In the delivery room everybody was very alarmed to see a small butt in stead of a little head come out first. Luckily two gynecologists were present nearby and they delivered my daughter so delicately. Without instruments, just by their sheer human professionalism and regard for life. No panic.
